Onlive Monthly Charge Making a Come Back
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of December 2010 - 02:06 PM ]
I swear the monthly charge thing for Onlive is flip flopping more than Ross Perot's candidacy for President in the 90's. First they are going to charge a monthly fee just so you can buy or rent games. Then they take away the monthly fee and leave it open for anyone that wants to buy or rent games. Now they are offering a monthly fee again. At least this time it isn't just to have access to the games you have already purchased or rented. Looks like anyone that has picked up their MicroConsole or uses the PC/Mac app will have the ability to pay $9. Read More...

Finally What Deus Ex Game Play Will Look Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of November 2010 - 04:19 PM ]
Up until now we have been given pre-rendered scenes and clips to show off Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Those clips did have some gorgeous visuals no doubt. I mean look at the studio and publisher for it, it's kind of what they are known for. But in the end, none of that did all that much to show off what we will actually get to control during the game. I also mean really control since the last "Game Play" clip was more scripted scenes than anything. Below is another clip showing off a bit more of what I mentioned we've missed so far, actual game play. Read More...

Hilarity ensues when all three gentlemen dance around the PC/Mac debate once again. Read More...

Microsoft Did What?! XBL Price Increased?
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 30th of August 2010 - 08:46 PM ]
The on-line world is in a blaze right now as announced by Major Nelson that Microsoft will be raising the cost of XBox Live Gold membership starting November 1, 2010 in the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK. The new prices for Xbox Live will be this: Well I know for a fact that Michael is probably not happy with the price changes at all, and probably a good majority of its users. But we all know that we gamers love to complain but are willing to shell out the cash to play the games or services. It's an endless cycle. Read More...

Deus Ex Let's You Revolt By Shanking People
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of August 2010 - 05:16 PM ]
Let's face it, everyone likes to hand out a good old shanking to someone's face every now and then.* What better way to do that than a really cool "electrified" blade from behind? Am I right? Of course I am right. All proving-myself-right aside, it looks like that is just one of the really cool looking ways you will get to take down enemies in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. At least that is what I am gathering from these new screen shots handed out by Square Enix and Eidos for the game. If stabbing people isn't your bag, don't fret, there are a few other things you can observe. Read More...

E3: TRON Evolution - Welcome to the Grid
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 18th of June 2010 - 12:52 AM ]
Lightcycles. I get excited just hearing the word. One of the most anticipated movies of 2010, TRON: Legacy, is getting it's own video game (of course). Brought to us by Disney Interactive and developed by Propoganda Games (Turok), TRON: Evolution is tied in closely to the movie and it's storyline, even using the same company that provides the film's CG animations to create the awesome trailer below. We're going to get it all, Lightcycles, disc-based combat, parkour, and some great visual effects. Coming to XBox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 and scheduled for release this Holiday 2010, just in time for TRON: Legacy to start appearing in theaters. Read More...

Kung-Fu Live Kind Of Like Natal For PS3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of June 2010 - 08:09 PM ]
So at first glance, and I mean fast, first glance, Kung-Fu Live could totally be mistaken for a Natal game. That is until you see the PS3 and PSEye in the background. But that isn't what we are going to discuss here. Kung-Fu Live is what is the topic here. The new PSEye motion game coming soon on the PSN. What is Kung-Fu Live? Well it looks like a way for home PSN players to simulate what Nick Arcade did so long ago. Read More...

The below tweets from her state that this is a pilot of sorts to help reboot the Mortal Kombat film franchise. JeriLRyan: Okay, so... Mortal Kombat. JeriLRyan: It's not a game trailer. Read More...

So you most likely know that you will be able to see the Microsoft Presentation and the Sony Presentation online via one of the many streaming sources. But what about the third in the triangle of video game powerhouses? Will they leave you ass out? Of course not. Just like last year, those who are not able to make it to the physical location in LA, for lack of being in the industry or travel funds, they are giving you the hook up. When the time is right, you can head on over to e3.nintendo. Read More...

Gaming In The Clouds
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 26th of May 2010 - 11:19 PM ]
The Cloud. You've heard about it. You've probably use it in forms such as DropBox, Gmail, or the hundreds of other programs out there hosting your files so that no matter where you are, they are available at the click of a mouse. Just stick your files into Cyberspace, and worry about them later. With supercomputers and data centers hosting Peta-Bytes worth of data, it seems kind of silly that you have to install your favorite game onto your computer, or every computer that you want to play it on. You can do it with video, why not video games? Think about it for a sec, why fill up your hard drive with titles dependent on your computers hardware, and every time the newest Crysis inception is released you have to upgrade that hardware? Silent Hill 2... Er I Mean Alan Wake Live Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of April 2010 - 02:53 AM ]
What you are about to see is not a preview to some new horror film. Nor is it the preview for the film adaptation of Silent Hill 2. So please do not get confused when you watch it. What is it a preview for then? The below video/preview is for the prequel story to Silent Hill Alan Wake. A game that has cause a bit of stir between the media and its developers. Why it hasn't caused any strife between Konami and Remedy yet, I don't know. What I do know is that on Tuesday (4/27), if you are not an XBox Live member, you will be able to check out the first episode over at http://brightfalls. Read More...

Madden Who? Tecmo Bowl Returns
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 3rd of March 2010 - 01:52 PM ]
Perhaps my favorite football game of all time is set to return to XBox Live and the PSN in the Spring of this year. I know I'm not the only one who fondly remembers holding up and A on the NES' controller to pick a play and then watching a mass of pixels go to war on the field. It's time for Tekumo Bōru! As the press release proudly proclaims, "Tecmo Bowl fans no longer have to reminisce about the old days as players can return to the first video game that emulated real football with new generation consoles, twenty years after its release. As a game that still holds a strong community following, online community tournaments can now be held nationwide at the comfort of home. Read More...
