SDCC Interview — Jacob Inselmann For Stage Tour

Stage Tour

We had a chance to rock out with the makers of Stage Tour during SDCC and got some insight into Stage Tour and what fans should expect

There is certainly one new game on the way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this year that we have been excited for, and that is Stage Tour. The new rhythm game that brought RedOctane Games back into the mix to make sure all of our plastic guitars are not just collecting dust. All while making sure we are still rocking out until the late nights. Well, we had a chance to swing by the Stage Tour booth during SDCC to give the game a go, check out that comic book for the game, as well as talk to the team behind the game. A nice long talk that we were able to capture for you on the show floor. Let us not keep you all waiting, so you can see and hear the interview we were able to have out there at SDCC 2026.

In addition to the following interview for Stage Tour, we did get a chance to go hands-on with the game and the sixteen tracks that have been released so far. If there was any worry for those looking to have the Guitar Hero or Rock Band feel back in the mix, put those worries to rest. It feels like the team has taken the steps to make sure that it kept everything that made those games great while aiming to progress the gameplay. That is most likely part of why so many bands are reaching out to the team to be in the game. Not just the usuals that we have seen before, but many of the newer bands that are trying to get built up are going to be in Stage Tour. Another great reason to dust off any of those controllers out there. More so, as this game will have its own controllers, the team has stated that they aim to make sure as many of the older ones will still work. You know what, why not just let them tell you all about it in the following video.

Stage Tour — SDCC Interview With Jacob Inselmann

While out at SDCC, we had a chance to check out Stage Tour on the show floor. Not only showing off the new game that is coming, but also a little on the tie-in comic book that Dark Horse has in the works. Hear a bit on how the game came to be, how it will license out new songs, allow us to use our older controllers, and a few of the new features that are coming in the new game. All from the mouth of Jacob Inselmann, the community manager of RedOctane Games.

Our mics cut out as soon as the video started to record. Apologies for that, but we were able to capture some of the audio and tried to get it back to a decent level.

Are you more excited for Stage Tour now that you have all of this information, or do you still need more to sell you on it all? What new features of the game are you excited to see in this title, and will you be able to master it all once more? What bands are you hoping to have announced in the coming weeks, and will you be using your older controllers to try and play all of it? Let us have those thoughts out there in the comment section so we can all discuss it. We are definitely going to have a lot more for Stage Tour in the coming weeks, so make sure you are watching the website and following all of our social channels out there. This is going to be a big game for us, and you will want to make sure you are rocking out with us the entire way. Fingers are still crossed that Psychostick and GWAR will be joining in with all of this.
