A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week has now come to an end with so many things going on in the world of video games. The biggest being the major reveal for Mortal Kombat 11 but that is not to discount all of the other huge news and announcements out there. Especially when you look at Resident Evil 2 about to hit us and another huge update for Days Gone. All the collector's editions for these video games and then still more for Metro Exodus to round things just a bit more. Read More…
The Dark Souls Trilogy Has A New Collector Edition To Shell Out For
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 18th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
Another collector’s edition has hit the market for the Dark Souls Trilogy to hurt your bank as much as Dark Souls hurts you in the game It has not been that long since the Dark Souls Trilogy launched on the PS4 and Xbox One. If you are a huge fan of the franchise and what FromSoftware is doing, then you most likely picked it all up again to play through all of the titles. Now, almost three months after that launch to the Dark Souls line it looks like Bandai Namco will be offering fans a new collector's edition for the game. This seems like an odd move to do, but if you have a spare £449. Read More…
The Console Version Of Overkill’s The Walking Dead Has Been Delayed Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
The wait continues as Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been delayed on consoles again with no sign of when this version of The Walking Dead will creep out Another blow has hit Overkill’s The Walking Dead as it looks like the console version of the game will not be coming to us in February. In fact, as it stands right now Starbreeze does not even know when PS4 and Xbox One gamers will be able to give the game a whirl. If you do want to play this version of The Walking Dead, you are going to have to go to the PC side of things and give it a go there for now. Read More…
Explore The World At Your Own Peril In Days Gone
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of January 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
A new trailer shows off the world of Days Gone and we also have word on the special editions for Days Gone that you can pre-order now Finally an update for Days Gone that is not a delay. It did seem like that is all we were getting out of Bend Studio for a while even though we have had some good updates in general for the game. While the release date has not been shifted forward and is still set for April 26th, we still have some exciting things here. Like new footage of the world of Days Gone and how it will look on the PS4 but also we have word of the special editions that we will be able to pick up if we are looking for more to this game. From Fort Tarsis To The Hidden Depths Of Anthem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
More footage for Anthem is out there again, with a little bit of all the different gameplay we can expect in Anthem at launch The month of Anthem is still rolling out there as we fly toward the February 22nd release date and now we have a look at something other than shooting things with weird energy. That has been most of what BioWare has shown us since the game we first announced and I am sure that EA had something to do with that, but now we have a look at more for the game than just that. We do have more of the shooting and blowing things up we can expect in Anthem, but we also have a look at how the dialog will play out and how we will have some impact on it all as we go. Read More…
Remember The Hirata Estates Of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
A new location in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shown here as The Hirata Estates shows off a bit more combat of Sekiro as well as how we will approach memory locations We have been waiting for more gameplay for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and now we have it. At least a very little bit as it looks like Activision is holding up their view of the game since E3 and keeping things held close to the chest for it all. We will take anything that we can as of right now though as it is a new FromSoftware title and it looks to be expanding on what we know from them thus far. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shaking up the normal setting we have had in the past for a different one, and now it looks like some of the combat and traversals will be shaken up just a bit too. The Next DLC For Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Looks Nightmarish
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider's next DLC has been dated and it looks like this Tomb Raider addition will go a bit darker than expected The fourth DLC for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider has been announced and dated here and it is called The Nightmare. A very ominous sounding bit of DLC for Eidos-Montréal to pump out there, but still very fitting with the franchise. At least as I see it. It could be a lot different when we actually get to play it next week on January 22nd, but for now, we will go with what we know. Read More…
Take A Nice Summer Break In The Wastes Of Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of January 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Metro Exodus is out there to show off the Summer chapter of Metro Exodus and all the horrors it can bring with it More gameplay for Metro Exodus is here after the last week of media outpour. We had a whole lot but when you think about it, there was not much in the way of actual gameplay out of 4A Games. I am guessing this is because Deep Silver was busy showing the game off to the larger media outlets and keeping the rest of us sated with the smaller announcements. That does not change the fact that we now have some new gameplay form the Summer chapter of Metro Exodus to take in thanks to Polygon. Read More…
The Action Is High In These New Screenshots For World War Z
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
More screenshots for World War Z are out there and we get to see just a bit more action for World War Z before its upcoming launch The headline says it all as we have more screenshots for World War Z to take in today. All of which look to show off more of the action that will be going down in the game when Saber Interactive brings it to us. That date is still up in the air, but at least we have more to look at for World War Z. It is still slated for 2019 as of last I heard, but who knows if Focus Home Interactive will shift that based on all of the other games that are coming out there. Read More…
Intruders: Hide And Seek Finds A New Home On PSVR Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
The release date for Intruders: Hide And Seek has been set for the PSVR side of things with word that Intruders will also hit the PC realm in the future There seems to be a whole lot of horror coming to VR here now and Intruders: Hide And Seek is the next up to bat for the PSVR. At least as of February 13th as that is when Daedalic is bringing Tessera Studios' title to the platform. Well ahead of the PC version of it all coming in 2020. For now we will just focus on what Intruders: Hide And Seek is and what to expect here in a few weeks than to speculate on when it will be out for more of the masses. Read More…
Degrees Of Separation Walks Through More Of Its World & Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of January 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Degrees Of Separation is here to take us deeper into the world of Degrees Of Separation as well as the characters & story Here we go with more for Degrees Of Separation to get us ready for its launch on February 14th. Just as we had promised last time from Moondrop, we have more gameplay to look at and see more of the game's story before launch. While all gameplay, it is definitely more on the story and character side of things here as we only see one other way that Rime and Ember are able to interact in Degrees Of Separation. This being one of the bigger gameplay aspects one would think we would have more on that than the story and characters. Read More…
Devotion Has A Release Date For Those Praying For It
by Duke Searles [ Monday, 14th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
The release date for Devotion is now set and we will be living in the horror of 1980s Taiwan through Devotion this coming February Maybe you remember a little game that we brought up back in July called Devotion. A game that was clouded in a bit of mystery and had very few details around it at the time and still to this day. Since it is coming from Red Candle Games without the name of a big publisher it is not too surprising that there has been little heard about it. All we knew was that we would be experiencing an atmospheric horror game with Devotion all through the eyes of a young girl in a family of devout religious folks. Read More…
More Horror Coming To VR With DreamBack VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
A new VR horror game, DreamBack VR, has a new teaser video to get us ready for when DreamBack VR launches in 2019 Let us throw another VR horror title into the mix as we have a bit more for the upcoming DreamBack VR here. This would be the title in the works from Come Over Gaming that will take us to some new depths of fear in VR some time in 2019. That is as long as everything works out correctly as that is all hype for DreamBack VR at this point and nothing rock solid. The latest teaser that we do have for the game does look like it will hold some solid competition, but for now, we are going to be reserved so we do not get the PC horror crowds riled up too soon.
