Mortuary Assistant
The Mortuary Assistant is getting a new edition that will finally bring The Mortuary Assistant to the consoles out there
Two years after The Mortuary Assistant hit the PC, we are finally going to see it make the leap onto the consoles out there. Not just one or two, but the current spread of them with the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. Along with all of that, DarkStone Digital and DreadXP are bringing a bunch of new things to the PC version as well. No one is going to be left out as we are getting The Mortuary Assistant: Definitive Edition. All dropping very soon on August 2nd. Yeah, just a week away and we are going to be heading back into the possessed mortuary to fight off more demons on the different platforms.
In addition to The Mortuary Assistant making its way onto the consoles, we are getting an update that will be adding in new haunts, bodies, lore, and a season event that will be coming in February. Along with all of the other performance and quality-of-life changes that come with these kinds of updates. All so we can make sure we are extra scared during the spooky season and then again in February when the other event kicks off. As if being alone during that time would not be enough already, we get to add the horrors of The Mortuary Assistant into the mix. Have a look and see how much spookier this one is going to be and then get your consoles ready to haunt you a bit more in your homes very soon.
The Mortuary Assistant — Definitive Edition
To celebrate the 2-year anniversary of the original PC release of The Mortuary Assistant, DarkStone Digital and DreadXP are thrilled to announce that the bone-chilling horror will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on August 2nd. In addition to launching on new platforms, the Definitive Edition brings updated gameplay to both the PC and Nintendo Switch versions as well.
In The Mortuary Assistant, you take on the role of Rebecca Owens, a newly graduated apprentice at River Fields Mortuary, but not everything at this job is as it seems. Late one night you are called in to handle some embalmings. When the Mortician, Raymond, calls the mortuary when you arrive, you soon realize this is a night like none other and there’s no escape from the demonic forces plaguing the mortuary.
Examine and prepare bodies with disturbingly realistic techniques including cleaning, embalming, jaw-wiring, and more. Some bodies require the basics before returning them to the morgue, while others will need more of an esoteric approach to dispel the demons possessing them.
Key Features:
- Perform embalming tasks while keeping demonic forces at bay.
- Practice occult rituals to identify demonic entities.
- Piece together clues to banish the demon and save your soul.
- Uncover the gripping history of Rebecca Owens, the haunting past of River Fields, and a sinister secret that lies just beneath the surface…
- Groundbreaking system makes every playthrough unique, guaranteeing you will never feel completely safe.
- A story that unfolds through multiple playthroughs. Each demon you banish is just a piece of the puzzle.
- 10+ hours of content with more to find for inquisitive eyes.
The Mortuary Assistant: Definitive Edition adds new Haunt Events, an endless embalming-only mode, new bodies, additional lore, a new Valentine’s Day seasonal event in February, performance improvements, and more.
