A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been a week here with the year ending and then starting back up, so we have more video games to play out there. Granted, it was a little on the lighter side as many of the teams and studios were out there celebrating, but we did have quite a few things to bring up. Styx has gone missing in 2025, but we have a new release date for Styx: Blades Of Greed in 2026 Those paying close attention to Styx: Blades Of Greed might have thought that the game was set to stealth release in the next few days. Given that Nacon and Cyanide Studios had it slated for a 2025 release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. New gameplay for DreadOut 3 is out there, so we can see just where this title will take the whole DreadOut IP The journey carries onward here, with a new look at DreadOut 3 and the path that Linda will be going down in the game. Along with a bit of new gameplay that Digital Happiness had to show off in a recent outing for the game. This time, with DreadOut 3 going into more of the balancing of light and darkness in the world that it has built. That, or they are telling us some stories that have been untold. The Retro Mode for Beneath is out there to keep us all entertained as we go further Beneath for the season Just as it was laid out there, Beneath has gone a bit further retro for the holiday season to keep us pulled into our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. The new and free mode for the game has been launched out there as a nice little holiday gift from Camel 101. It also gives fans of Beneath a reason to do another run through the game and see if they are as good as they think they are. A new gameplay mode for Cronos: The New Dawn is on the way to make sure we can all experience the story of Cronos I do not know why, but it feels as if Cronos: The New Dawn launched on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC so very long ago. I guess, a matter of months could feel like a long time for anyone out there, but it dropped and Bloober Team added another great success to their list. Sure, some had some complaints about the game, but for the most part, Cronos: The New Dawn was loved. The gameplay for They Will Come is finally out there so we have a better idea of the exploration They Will Come will offer The announcement for They Will Come does not feel like it was that long ago, and here we are with a look at the gameplay that we can expect in the game. I am not sure why Game Pop just did not wait a little bit longer to hit us with all of the news at one time, but here we are with another PC title to look forward to as we head into the new year. Although you will need to be into those adventure puzzle games that will keep us hiding from enemies, as They Will Come is another in that view of all of that. The final version of Layers Of Fear is out there on the Switch for many more gamers to see the horrors of Layers Of Fear The holiday season can officially start now, as Layers Of Fear: Final Masterpiece Edition has landed on the Switch 2. A solid little collection of all of the titles and DLC that Bloober Team has out there for the IP, and a solid way to escape the horrors of the season with the horrors of the video game world. Learn more about the new Invincible character, Elle Mental, as we dive deeper into the world of Invincible VS While Elle Mental was put on display when we had the release date for Invincible VS, that is still April 30th, 2026, we did not have much else go on for the character. She is a new one made just for the game with all of the input from Skybound Games to help shape her, but we learned nothing much beyond that. Maybe some moves and that she will bring more of the power of the elements to the matches, but nothing in terms of who she is within the Invincible universe. Given that the graphic novel's creators were all on board with the first appearance being on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this is going to be her big debut, so it is time to dive deep into the character and see a whole lot more gameplay to help shape her up. New DLC for Painkiller is out there and it is offering up a bit more of the Metal feel to everything in Painkiller As if Painkiller was not already heavy metal from the start, it looks like things are getting even heavier with the latest bit of DLC that is now out there for the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A new update from Anshar Studios and 3D Realms to pull us back into the game, while also offering up some major content for the game. A new developer diary for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is out there to help us show how Hellraiser is finally coming to video games One of the more interesting updates we had that was not part of The Game Awards this year had to be from Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. Almost as if the award show was even afraid to touch the topic of the game. Yet Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games carry it all onward to make sure we know what is going on. Perhaps it is due to the graphic nature of the Hellraiser IP, and the awards show did not want to risk losing any of that ad revenue, so they played it safe for themselves while keeping gamers in the dark about it. A new bizarre game, Stupid Never Dies, has been announced and Stupid Never Dies looks to offer up something new for us all It was stated during The Game Awards that GPTRACK50 was setting out to give us all a world and game that we have never seen before, and here we are with Stupid Never Dies. While the title is a bit on point with how many feel about the world, try not to take it at face value, as I am sure you will be wrong.
