The next entry to the Maneater IP is on the way, with the recent reveal we just had for Maneater 2 Just when you thought a fun IP was going to be a one-off with a few bits of DLC, we have the official announcement that Maneater 2 is swimming its way out there to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. This would be that amazing little shaRkPG title that Tripwire Interactive gave us all a few years back, and now with the help of Demiurge Studios, we are getting another full entry into the IP. All of the fun that we had in Maneater the first time around swimming as a shark, eating various tourists, doing a bit of parkour, and then fighting so many other things in the sea will be on display again. An exclusive look at the upcoming Resident Evil movie is here, just a little ahead of us all getting to see Resident Evil in theaters The dead are starting to rise up as we get closer to September 18th, when the Resident Evil movie will be hitting theaters. We have seen quite a bit of the film at all of the conventions and showcases out there, and it looks as if we have one more bit to look at for it all. A longer look at a scene that we have seen in the previous trailers, and this one shows off just how our new protagonist is going to learn some of the Resident Evil lore out there. All while giving us the feeling we once had when we were playing the game the first time. Read More...

A new story video for Turok: Origins is here to give us a taste of the coming world and how we will be Turok It is time to dive back into the setting and story of Turok: Origins, as gamescom has brought us one more look at the game as we all wait to see when it is going to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC out there. Sure, many of us might know some of the basics for the IP from how long it has been running, but this is going to be the next one that Saber Interactive is offering up, so there is going to be a few changes. More than just knowing that we are going to be running around with guns and hunting down dinosaurs. Read More...

A new map for Halloween: The Game is out there, and we get to see more hits to the Halloween IP at large Another map is opening up for Halloween: The Game just ahead of the September 8th release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Just a solid way for IllFonic and Gun Interactive to cap off gamescom, as well. A new map that was rather expected, given the IP's setting, but now we get to see it. I will not say live, as this is a nice little aerial fly-through, but a great way to see East Haddonfield for the Halloween universe. Read More...

A new look at Control Resonant was given out at gamescom to show how Dylan will alter things in the Control universe We are now in the final stretches of the cycle for Control Resonant now that gamescom has come and gone, but there is still so much more to look forward to for the game. September 24th is going to hit us so much faster than we could have expected, so Remedy is kicking things up to get us all ready for the game to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At least, kicking things up in terms of building up the hype for the game to show us how Dylan will alter things in the Control world. Not that it has not already been altered pretty heavily by things bleeding into the world. Read More...

The release date for The Wolf Among Us Remastered is on the way to us with a new Noir Mode for The Wolf Among Us We all knew that The Wolf Among Us Remastered was on the way to us, but many of us thought we might have to wait until the next season of the story was going to be ready for us before we would get to see this remaster. That does not look as if it is going to be the case, as Telltale is getting the game ready for us sooner than we could have thought. At least, this is all based on what they were willing to give us out of gamescom this year. Read More...

New gameplay footage for Metro 2039 is here from gamescom, to give us all a look at the protagonist coming in Metro 2039 We have seen that we are going to be able to be The Stranger from Metro 2039 in real life with the collector's edition that is coming, and now it is time to see why that is going to be a big deal. During the opening night of gamescom, 4A Games and Deep Silver brought a new look, not only at the game, but how hardcore the new protagonist is going to be out there. Not that any of the protagonists from the previous Metro titles were not as hardcore, but this one is starting to look like they are going to take the win on that. Read More...

A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week has come to an end around here, and we had so many video games to look at. Partially due to the fact that gamescom was in full swing, and also due to the fact that we had so many on the verge of release already. Along with the bigger teases that Grand Theft Auto VI and Marvel’s Wolverine were going to have big showings this week before the event actually started. Although, that did leave some fun room for video games like Stage Tour and Final Fantasy VII Revelation to get some bigger announcements during the week. Read More...

The gameplay for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there, and it looks like we are getting a whole lot more Grand Theft Auto Just as we all had been promised, the massive update for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there and joins the ranks of games getting talked about for gamescom. Not that anyone thought that Rockstar Games needed the event to help spread the word of this title, but it happened nonetheless. Weirdly, it was all handled by Netflix for some reason, but we will not get into that level of weirdness to explore. Instead, we will just focus on what we had to see for Grand Theft Auto VI and why some of us are going to be insanely excited to see what will be hitting the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19th. One last look at the gameplay features for Marvel’s Wolverine is here, and it shows off how Wolverine will be upgraded The days are starting to get numbered until Marvel’s Wolverine launches on the PS5, and it looks as if Insomniac Games was looking to use gamescom as the perfect springboard to give us what we have all been waiting for. A solid look at the gameplay flow and extra mechanics that we can expect to employ out there in the game when September 15th gets here and we are in the savage world of Wolverine. A different one than we might have expected in the narrative, but one that will offer up some fun new things for the character. Read More...

Meet the cast of characters entering Silent Hill just a bit ahead of the full release for Silent Hill: Townfall We are just a month out from Silent Hill: Townfall, and with gamescom still going on, it does feel like it is the correct time to have a look at the cast of characters we are going to have in the game. Not just in terms of the actual characters, but the voices that Screen Burn and Konami have tapped in to bring them all to life. All to give us some bigger names in the industry to help with that, even if that is not going to be the end-all, be-all for the IP. Read More...

Learn a bit on how Matchmaking is going to work in Halloween: The Game and see how often you can be the Boogeyman for Halloween We are under two weeks out from Halloween: The Game landing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a whole lot of hype starting to build for it all. Even if it is following the same structure that we have seen from IllFonic in other horror IPs, this one is getting a little more of a shakeup. Not just because we are getting a single-player mode for Halloween: The Game, but now it looks as if Gun Interactive is pushing forward with a new way to do matchmaking. A way that might make it easier to play as Michael Myers in the game, but it could easily be abused. Read More...

More of the cast for There Are No Ghosts At The Grand have been placed on display, but still No Ghosts At The Grand It always seems so sporadic when we get updates for There Are No Ghosts At The Grand, but it does seem that gamescom was the timeline for the next bit of fun to seep out there. Even if we have seen a lot of the same gameplay for a while now from Friday Sundae for the game, this one does the same, but gives us a little more to bite onto. With the Early Access coming up for the PC version of the game this December, it does make sense for that. Read More...

The release date for Stage Tour is now set, with so many more things coming in Stage Tour than we knew I am starting to feel a little vindicated in my assumptions when it came to Stage Tour and when we were going to be able to jam out to the game. There was always a release date lined up for Winter of 2026 from RedOctane Games for the new rhythm game to drop out there, and now they have backed that up. They did that by giving us the official release date for Stage Tour during all of the madness of gamescom that is going on right now. Along with the fact that we can expect to see the game land on the Switch 2 along with the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when December 10th flows on in. Read More...
