This Week In Video Games 1/5/26 — 1/9/26
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 10th of January 2026 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The world of video games never ceases to amaze me out there, as this week was a lot more packed than expected for a CES week. Not only did we get a lot to check out during the convention, but we also managed to get solid updates out to you all week. Some, like, Styx: Blades Of Greed gameplay, Dead By Daylight and Stranger Things kicking off the crossover, Resident Evil Requiem getting some fun new visuals, and the fact that we will be able to play Xbox video games without the need of an Xbox soon. Yeah, that one is a bit of a wild ride to think about, and we have all of that here on the site for you. Read More...

The PC Will Have Some Exclusive Enhancements For 007 First Light
by Juliet Meyer [ Tuesday, 6th of January 2026 - 10:00 PM ]
007 First Light A new look at 007 First Light out of CES is here to show us just how NVIDIA will be pushing 007 First Light forward Fresh off the recent delay of 007 First Light, it looks like we have a lot more driving its way out to us for the game during CES. Not anything unusual, since the gadgets and vehicles in the IP get highlighted during the show, but here we go with a look at how IO Interactive is teaming up with NVIDIA to help give the PC version of the game a bit of a push before the new May 27th release date. Something that will help 007 First Light stand out further than the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 versions of the game. That is the way of it all when it comes to this hardware. Read More...

Resident Evil Requiem Gets A Visual Showcase With The NVIDIA Hardware
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of January 2026 - 08:00 PM ]
Resident Evil Resident Evil is coming to life with the new Path Tracing & DLSS 4 features that Resident Evil Requiem will house It feels like it would not be CES without Capcom showing off something new out there with their games, and it looks like Resident Evil Requiem is taking the stage here. That might sound weird to many, but they do like offering their games to showcase either new PC hardware or showcase a new console feature. This goes back to the day when we were out there playing Resident Evil 5 on the side of a Las Vegas strip hotel before it launched. Read More...

You Might Be Able To Play Your Xbox Games Without A Console Or PC Soon
by Jana Lass [ Monday, 5th of January 2026 - 10:00 PM ]
Xbox A new platform for the Xbox cloud gaming is on the way, with a new partnership announced for Xbox during CES It seemed like it was something that might never have come, but it looks like you might not need anything by a TV screen to play your favorite Xbox games again. Not that we won't have the Xbox Series X|S and PC as options to play, still. Also, maybe a new system that has yet to be announced as well. No, as it seems, a new partnership could see some smart TVs this year have the ability to play the cloud streaming versions of our games without anything but a controller. Read More...

San Diego Comic-Con Through The Eyes Of A Complete Novice To The Experience
by Bri Sullivan [ Friday, 26th of September 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Comic-Con Have a look at San Dingo Comic-Con through the lens of someone relatively new to the Comic-Con experience from 2025 It’s been a few months since my first Comic-Con, and I’ve had time to reflect on my experience. When I was invited to Comic-Con, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I had heard about it from my friends and seen photos during some of the more popular Marvel-heavy Cons, but I had never done much digging into the Con itself. I’ve broken my experience down into the pluses and the minuses, plus a few tips and tricks, with my overall review at the end. Read More...

Head A Little Behind The Scenes After Gamescom For Directive 8020
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 5th of September 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Take a walk around the setting of Directive 8020 as it was all shown off during Gamescom, and see why we need to wait longer for Directive 8020 Even though Gamescom has come and gone for this year, we are still getting some new looks at things that went down during the event. Specifically, some look at things that we would only have had a chance to experience if we were on-site, with the latest for Directive 8020. We do need something to help take away the sting that Supermassive Games had to push the release out to 2026. Not only that, but also a solid look at some of the other bits that were behind the scenes for Directive 8020, and what they tried to dazzle the crowds with out there. Read More...

Things Are Opening Up Now For Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy Tactics Take in the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles to get yourself ready for Final Fantasy Tactics to launch It is always a weird thing for me to think about that there is a good portion of the gaming community that has yet to experience Final Fantasy Tactics. Granted, this is a title that Square Enix placed out there for us all so many years ago, and it was more of a cult classic title than anything widespread out there. With September 30th on the way to us all, more will get to experience it all with Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC again. This Week In Video Games 8/25/25 — 8/29/25
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of August 2025 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week What a week this was here for us, as we had so many things to cover that were not video games in general. Even as we started to wrap up everything for Gamescom, that came out, too. The bigger bit is the podcast and review that we had for the Toxic Avenger, which hits theaters as you are reading this. We also had a bit of fun looking at Return To Silent Hill, which does still fall into the video games realm, but is still a film we are excited for. Read More...

Marvel’s Deadpool VR Offers Up A New Contract For Our Story
by Juliet Meyer [ Friday, 29th of August 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Deadpool Fans of Deadpool have another weird story on the way to us all when it comes to Marvel’s Deadpool VR It's story time out here for Marvel’s Deadpool VR. Well, at least a bit more to the story that Twisted Pixel Games is working on and willing to toss our way during Gamescom. Even if it is still jarring to hear different voices bringing the Merc With A Mouth to life. That is a whole different topic now, especially since the story also gives us another massive voice talent in the mix, and various other characters we are going to see in the game. Well, more than Deadpool is going to have to face off with in the game, if you take the story at face value. Read More...

Things Out Of Gamescom Have Started To Get A Bit More Ferocious
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 29th of August 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Ferocious A new look at Ferocious is here, and we get more of the dino-slaying, human hunting, and other bits of the Ferocious wild Just a bit ahead of Gamescom this year, we all had a bit of a tease for Ferocious. This is the new dinosaur survival title that OMYOG and tinyBuild have been working on for the PC that will have us dealing with the horrors that all would entail. There is more to the story, but you can refer to the previous video for all the details. This new one that we have been blessed with, though, gives us all of the bloodthirsty gore and violence we have been waiting for when it comes to a game called Ferocious. Read More...

Sure, there are a load of gamers out there now who have not experienced Final Fantasy Tactics before, so there is that, but there are so many new things we need to see in this collection to see if it will be worth it on September 30th. by Juliet Meyer [ Thursday, 28th of August 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Star Trek Star Trek fans will have a new title flying their way, with the announcement for Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown We are all going to have a chance to head off into the final frontier with the announcement of Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown. A new title that gameXcite and Daedalic Entertainment announced out at Gamescom this year, and one that will give players on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC a bit more of a taste of what the universe has to offer up. At least in terms of the Star Trek universe, as that is a bit different than the one we currently are surviving out here. That will be part of the game, as we will be taking control of a Voyager-class ship and heading into the great unknown, while also managing so much more than we could imagine, and dabbling in some of the extra "What If" kind of things that could be possible in all of the universes out there. Mr Wonder Is Offering Up A Squid Games x Mr Beast Horror Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of August 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Mr Wonder A new horror title, Mr Wonder, is on the way to us with a demo for Mr Wonder and a commentary on our society It feels like it took a bit longer than it should, but here we go with some fun commentary on humanity with a new horror title of Mr Wonder. If the name sounds suspiciously close to some famous YouTuber, there is a reason for that. In fact, Fume Software is making the claim of making a video game that is a horror mix-up of Mr Beast and Squid Games. Even if it does feel like there is a bit more SAW in the mix, from what we have seen so far. Read More...
