by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of May 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week So many video games out there with updates and news and now we have wrapped for this week on it all. We have had some new stuff thrown out there before E3 and a lot of basic updates just to keep us all chomping at the bit for more. We did have the next clan for Bloodlines 2 drop out there and some more for The Sinking City, so that was nice. Not to mention more for Control and a new Doctor Who VR title announced out there for us all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of May 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Ancestors The release date and window for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is laid out with a new trailer showing off how clans will play out in Ancestors There is all kinds of cool news coming out for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey here today and one of the big bits has to be that we have a release date set. Well, at least for the PC gamers out there as the PS4 and Xbox One gamers will need to wait until December to experience what Panache Digital Games has put together. That is a bit away, but as I mentioned, PC gamers will be able to get their hands on Ancestors on August 27th. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/13/19 — 5/17/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of May 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has indeed been a week of video games here and it has come to a wrap for us again. A well-deserved break for us all to put the brakes on the coverage of things and go back to playing. That or waiting until we get to actually see Bloodlines 2 in action or how that new title in The Walking Dead universe will actually handle. We might even dive back into A Plague Tale to go through all of the things we may have missed in our first play of the game. Read More...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Brings More Sights To Be Seen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of May 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Ancestors New gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here and shows off a bit more on how we will identify things in Ancestors with our babies Here we go with a bit more gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey today and it is just a nice little bit. I will take everything that we can out of Panache Digital Games here as it has been an interesting concept from day one for me. Especially given the pedigree of the developers in charge of it all. That and the interesting use of the game's world to force exploration in Ancestors. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of May 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
EA Access EA Access will now be heading to the PS4 this July allowing gamers another way to subscribe to EA Access and all of the games it holds In one of the least surprising moves recently, it looks like we will soon be seeing EA Access over on the PS4 for those who are looking to partake in the service that EA has been offering for a while. At least offering up for those gamers on the PC and Xbox One who wanted to take advantage of the service and experience many of the company's titles. Coming in July, PS4 owners will have the chance to throw down $4. Read More...

Have A New Lesson On The Gameplay Of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new developer series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has started with the first going into the exploration of Ancestors’ map A new taste for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here in the way of a developer diary of sorts to take us on a bit more of the exploration in the game. Specifically that feature in the game as Panache Digital Games has opted to leave out the maps for us and require us to do it all on our own. Not the worst of ideas, but it will be a shift from what we know in open world games like Ancestors. Read More...

New Gameplay Shows Off How Amazing Anthem Could Look
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
Anthem During the NVIDIA CES 2019 keynote, new Anthem gameplay was revealed that shows just how good Anthem could look if you are willing to go PC CES 2019 has kicked off and that means we will start seeing all kinds of videos and trailers showing off the new tech coming just as we have here for Anthem. We have a new bit of gameplay to look at here but the bigger news here is that DLSS is coming to the PC version of the game for those who use an NVIDIA card to drive their games. I am sure that EA would like you to remember that Anthem is coming and that you should pre-order it now, but that would outshine the news that you can get it bundled in with your new GeForce RTX graphics card, laptops, or PCs. Go Back In Time With New Gameplay For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Ancestors A plethora of new gameplay is here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey so you can see just how the game has evolved to the Ancestors we have now Finally we have some of the first real gameplay to look at here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey all fresh from The Game Awards. Sure, we have had some nice little teases from Panache Digital Games in the past with some screenshots, but that is not true gameplay. Given that this is a huge deviation of gameplay style for the creative director of some Assassin’s Creed, there is a lot riding on Ancestors before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In terms of reputation more than anything as this is a deviation from what we know. Read More...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Has A Few New Screenshots To Speculate Over
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors Four new screenshots for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey have popped up and they give us another hint as to what we may get to experience in Ancestors Another good chunk of time has passed since we last heard anything for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, so it seems about time we had something. Given that Panache Digital Games announced the game almost three years ago and we still have little to no clue on the inner workings of the game as of yet, one would think it is time. Just as last time, it is but only slightly. Read More...

Mad Catz Is Getting Back Into The Game After Being Slightly Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of January 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Mad Catz Gaming peripheral maker Mad Catz is back after only being dead to the world for a short while and hitting us hard with new Mad Catz products for CES Early last year we all caught wind that Mad Catz was filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, was thought to be liquidating, and looking like it would not be coming back to bring us any more hardware to play our games with. It was sad news for a lot and seemed like we would need to start looking to the competition for more of what we wanted for our PC and/or consoles. At least if you are into having flashier things and cool add-ons to make your gaming experience just that little bit extra special. Read More...

Ancestors Will Place Us In The Heat Of Medieval Battles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new in-engine video for Ancestors has been released to show us just how the Ancestors RTS feel will go between god and unit It's going to sound odd talking about Ancestors here knowing that there are two titles coming out with that as the main title for the game. The version we are going to talk about here though is the RTS title coming from 1C and Destructive Creations for the Xbox One and PC and not the weird ancient history simulator that we've heard a little about before. This version of Ancestors will be taking us through history, but all in the vein of murdering each other in glorious battle between four different nations. All based on historically accurate battles and wars that have taken place between the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans, Slavs. Read More...

Things Seem To Be Changing For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors It looks like Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is no longer set to be episodic and it is going to let us dictate how our Ancestors came to be Just about two years ago we had a tease for a new game called Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. This was the new project that Patrice Desilets (Assassin's Creed) and team over at Panache Digital Games was working on that would take us on a third-person action-adventure through the process of human evolution. All done in a form of a documentary of sorts as we watch and help guide our Ancestors through everything from the very beginning of it all to our current age. All in an episodic form that was assumed to have each major era be a different episode. Read More...

Mass Effect: Andromeda Has New Gameplay Fresh From CES 2017
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Mass Effect New gameplay for Mass Effect: Andromeda was promised out of the NVidia CES press conference and we got new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay now We had the promise and it was delivered as we now have some new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay to look at here right out of CES 2017. It does look like Bioware had originally wanted to reveal the launch date for the game at the event as the people showing off the new gameplay looked psyched to see the March 21th date on screen but we won't let that distract us from the gameplay here. That is why we are all here right not and that is what we are going to get. All Mass Effect: Andromeda and without all of the bells and whistles that usually go on at these kinds of events that EA usually puts on. Read More...

VirZOOM Gears Up To Hold The First vSports Event At CES
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
CES New hardware and partnerships for VirZOOM at CES 2017 have led us to a place where the first vSports event could be held at CES this year It is a rare instance that we have something here that is about health here but seeing as gaming is getting mixed in we had to have a look at the VirZOOM during CES this year. More so when you look at it as we are getting some of the first vSporting events out here as well. That was at least one of the goals that aimed to be met with the mixture of VR, a stationary bike, and the VirZOOM system all mixed in. Read More...

CES 2016 Hands On — Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Oculus While at CES 2016 I was able to play with the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch in a more intimate setting than just a video. Here's my take on the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch Obviously one of the big items around CES 2016 was the Oculus Rift; especially since it went up for pre-order and all of the new details cropped up just at the beginning of the show. That of course led to a whole lot of debate on if the Oculus Rift was going to be worth the $600 price tag out the door or if it was going to be another overpriced gizmo with a lot of buyer's remorse. This led me to take over the job of checking out the hardware of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to see if the price point made sense for where the system is now or if, like I said, it was something that could be left behind.
