The actors of Alone In The Dark are on display to show how they will come across when Alone In The Dark launches
The wait for October 25th is still raging on as we want to see what the next version of Alone In The Dark will have for us, but that does not mean we are not getting some fun things as we wait. That is, we are getting some more from Pieces Interactive in terms of the characters we will be controlling in the game and how they will be looking. More so, we are getting a look at the bigger characters in Alone In The Dark with a new fresh look at Jodie Comer's and David Harbour's characters fresh from THQ Nordic to help remind us that the game is coming. As if we forgot that in the first place.
With this new video, though, we get a look at how the voice acting as well as the motion capture for Alone In The Dark is coming along for each character. First up, we have a look at Emily Hartwood whom Jodie is bringing to life in the game. It feels like Jodie is going with a more soft-spoken kind of thing for the character and allowing some nuance to shine through in Emily. This could just be a small segment of the way the character will function in Alone In The Dark, but it is a cool sign to see how much of the newer technology they are able to use to bring this character further to life while still using a live actor too.
Alone In The Dark — Jodie Comer Is Emily Hartwood
Get a first glimpse of Jodie Comer’s haunting performance as Emily Hartwood as she investigates the disappearance of her uncle in the upcoming reimagining of Alone In The Dark.
Embark on a journey to the mysterious Derceto Manor and experience this new nightmare from either Emily Hartwood’s or Edward Carnby’s perspective, played by Jodie Comer and David Harbour respectively.
Alone In The Dark is developed by Pieces Interactive in Sweden and will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
The next video we have is for Edward and focuses a bit on the same as above, but digs a bit further into the facial animations we can expect in Alone In The Dark too. David Harbour is great at facial emoting and this video does show off that skill and then some quite a bit. There are still some rough bits to work out before the final version of Alone In The Dark hits us all, but this does show that the teams have taken some massive strides to keep the actor's performance highlighted and the main focus of it all. Have a look and see exactly what we should be amped up to see in a few months.
