Alone In The Dark
The release date for the upcoming Alone In The Dark title and we get to dive deeper into what has changed for Alone In The Dark
It is time to illuminate not only the darkness but also our minds as it all comes to Alone In The Dark. This would be the upcoming title that Pieces Interactive and THQ Nordic are working on and not the one from a long time ago. Even if this one is a bit of a remake from that version that will also expand upon what they were trying to do with Alone In The Dark some thirty years ago. Something we can see soon on October 25th if we so choose to do so on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is where the current release date is set, so we can mark it down with all of the other October releases we have coming now.
With that out of the way, we can look and see how Alone In The Dark is going to hit those same notes from before but in a modern way. The game still takes place in the American South during the 1920s, but now we have David Harbour and Jodie Comer bringing our protagonists to life in the game. Yes, there will be two characters we have to play as, and depending on which we go with, have a different experience. That does mean that we will need to play this Alone In The Dark at least twice if we want to have the full experience out there. Not a bad thing at all and more games should do something like this to keep it replayable.
As you will be able to see in the following video for Alone In The Dark, it looks like we are going to be back out there exploring the grounds and world with a very dark atmosphere and Lovecraftian setting. This is a survival horror title after all. As we explore the Derceto Manor, we will come across all kinds of monsters and horrors we will have to avoid or dispatch with. All while getting deep into the weird puzzles we have seen in the past with Alone In The Dark so we can explore even more out there. I am sure none of them will make sense, as they never do, but will keep us fully engaged in the mental state of our protagonists for sure.
