Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been a week here with the year ending and then starting back up, so we have more video games to play out there. Granted, it was a little on the lighter side as many of the teams and studios were out there celebrating, but we did have quite a few things to bring up. I mean, we saw Stranger Things come to an end, but still live on in Dead By Daylight, along with when we will be able to play Styx: Blades Of Greed in this new year. Dread Neighbor Another psychological horror title, Dread Neighbor, is on the way to us all with Dread Neighbor going into some darkness More of the modern and foreign fears are on the way into the world with the reveal for Dread Neighbor. A new title that Ghostcase and Erabit are working on for the PC that will carry on a legacy of fear from a past title. All in a first-person and dark setting filled with many other nightmares, it would seem. DreadOut New gameplay for DreadOut 3 is out there, so we can see just where this title will take the whole DreadOut IP The journey carries onward here, with a new look at DreadOut 3 and the path that Linda will be going down in the game. Along with a bit of new gameplay that Digital Happiness had to show off in a recent outing for the game. This time, with DreadOut 3 going into more of the balancing of light and darkness in the world that it has built. Dead By Daylight Another crossover for Dead By Daylight and Stranger Things is here, with some new horrors in the mix of Dead By Daylight There is certainly one thing that Dead By Daylight does well, and that is crossover events that build into a massive thing in some way. In this instance, it looks like Behaviour is digging deep into the ending of Stranger Things just as the show comes to an end, while also offering up some new horrors into the game. At least, on January 6th when this whole thing pops off, and you will be able to see the gang again in Dead By Daylight. That, or they are telling us some stories that have been untold. Beneath The Retro Mode for Beneath is out there to keep us all entertained as we go further Beneath for the season Just as it was laid out there, Beneath has gone a bit further retro for the holiday season to keep us pulled into our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. The new and free mode for the game has been launched out there as a nice little holiday gift from Camel 101. It also gives fans of Beneath a reason to do another run through the game and see if they are as good as they think they are. Cronos A new gameplay mode for Cronos: The New Dawn is on the way to make sure we can all experience the story of Cronos I do not know why, but it feels as if Cronos: The New Dawn launched on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC so very long ago. I guess, a matter of months could feel like a long time for anyone out there, but it dropped and Bloober Team added another great success to their list. Sure, some had some complaints about the game, but for the most part, Cronos: The New Dawn was loved. Mutter A new puzzle game, Mutter, has been announced with Mutter offering up a fun, artistic style for the gameplay It certainly feels like we are getting a lot of wandering puzzle games out there lately, and now we have another on the way to us with Mutter. A new title on the PC from DeadlyCrow Games, with a demo ready for you to play as of right now. Even if there is no current release date for the game, we can have a sample. WILL The open playtest for WILL: Follow The Light is ready for us all starting at Will’s Lighthouse The puzzle adventure that is WILL: Follow The Light is finally ready for the PC gamers out there to give it all a bit of a playtest, if you have an hour you wish to kill in the game. That is how much of the game that TomorrowHead Studio is ready to offer up to the growing fans so they can make sure that the game is fully ready for the launch in the first half of 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Yes, this does also mean that the console games will not have a chance to experience all of this for WILL: Follow The Light early, but that is the state of gaming out there. Layers Of Fear The final version of Layers Of Fear is out there on the Switch for many more gamers to see the horrors of Layers Of Fear The holiday season can officially start now, as Layers Of Fear: Final Masterpiece Edition has landed on the Switch 2. A solid little collection of all of the titles and DLC that Bloober Team has out there for the IP, and a solid way to escape the horrors of the season with the horrors of the video game world. Painkiller New DLC for Painkiller is out there and it is offering up a bit more of the Metal feel to everything in Painkiller As if Painkiller was not already heavy metal from the start, it looks like things are getting even heavier with the latest bit of DLC that is now out there for the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A new update from Anshar Studios and 3D Realms to pull us back into the game, while also offering up some major content for the game. Hellraiser A new developer diary for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is out there to help us show how Hellraiser is finally coming to video games One of the more interesting updates we had that was not part of The Game Awards this year had to be from Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. Almost as if the award show was even afraid to touch the topic of the game. Yet Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games carry it all onward to make sure we know what is going on. Perhaps it is due to the graphic nature of the Hellraiser IP, and the awards show did not want to risk losing any of that ad revenue, so they played it safe for themselves while keeping gamers in the dark about it. Terminator The Terminator is out there again, with the launch of Terminator 2D: No Fate on all of the platforms The time to set the fate of humanity is almost here, with Terminator 2D: No Fate on the verge of launching out there on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. A fun little retelling of the events of the film that Reef Entertainment and Bitmap Bureau have been building for us over the last year, and on December 12th, we will finally get to take a shot with it all.
