Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, this was certainly a solid week in video games and all of the interactive media out there. The big thing being that the Nintendo Switch 2 was shown to the world officially and then we have a whole lot for the Until Dawn movie that is on the way in a few months. Backrooms Get ready to escape The Backrooms in a different way when The Backrooms: 1998 launches onto the various consoles out there After a long spat as an Early Access title for the PC out there, it looks as if The Backrooms: 1998 will finally be coming over to the consoles and giving the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch gamers a chance to see how this all flows out there. Mortal Kombat Conan The Barbarian is almost here for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns and we have a taste of what he will do to the Mortal Kombat universe Get ready to slash things up a bit more in Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, as Conan The Barbarian is about to enter the arenas out there. This is the next DLC character that NetherRealm Studios has been working on for the game and is currently slated to be fully available on January 21st for those who have the Expansion passes or are ready to shell out to add the character in on his own. House Of The Dead Another bit of House Of The Dead fun is on the way back to us all with the announcement for The House Of The Dead 2: Remake It looks like we all loved the first remake that was out there that now we have The House Of The Dead 2: Remake on the way to us all now. I mean, Megapixel Studio and Forever Entertainment did an amazing job bringing us the previous remake to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC that it would make sense for them to bring the next one back to us all. Even if we do need to wait until the Spring of this year to see how The House Of The Dead saga continues in our homes. Those of us who were able to play the originals in arcades might know how it all goes, but that was half a century ago, so it would be understandable if we all forgot some of that along the way. Restitched A new 2.5D platformer, Restitched, is announced with Restitched giving off a feel of another big title in the genre Those who are fans of 2.5D adventure using stitched together creatures will be glad to see we have another adventure on the way with Restitched. No, this is not another title in the line of a popular mascot IP, but a new one that Trixel Creative will be putting together on the PC. One that feels like it is getting right up to the line of things but not crossing it so Restitched will be able to launch out there. Once you are able to dive into the newly released gameplay footage to come along with this big announcement, you might be able to figure out what we are talking about without calling out the other IPs directly. Marvel Rivals Season one of Marvel Rivals is almost here with some new characters and villains on the way to Marvel Rivals very soon Now that we have had a good amount of time to stew in what Marvel Rivals had to offer in Season 0 of its lifecycle, we are here to see the official release of Season 1 out there. The first full season of new content to join the game as NetEase Games has promised and to see if it will have the staying power on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as it did over the holidays. We still had a few fun and new announcements, but a good portion of it all was catching up on things like the Ōkami sequel that is on the way, a look at the next thing for Dying Light, new modes for Hollowbody, and getting Think As Thieves out there in the mix. Not a week full of video games, sure, but one that had a whole lot for us to look at even with all of the holidays that have been going down. Hollowbody A new third-person mode for Hollowbody is out there along with many other fun updates for Hollowbody too If you have played and enjoyed all that Hollowbody had to offer up for us so far on the PC, then get ready to have a whole new way to play the game and enjoy it all again. It looks as if Headware Games has not only been working hard on improving the game through its normal patches but has added in a whole new feature for us to experience with the latest update. If you wanted more of an interactive experience for Hollowbody and see what is going on for our character, then you will be overly excited to know that we now have a way to play the game in third-person mode. Ōkami A sequel to Ōkami has finally been announced and those Ōkami fans only had to wait about twenty years for it all It looks like we only had to wait about twenty years to finally get a Ōkami sequel in our lives. Well, at least to get the announcement that we are going to finally get a sequel to the game from Capcom out here. So, there is still a whole lot of waiting we are going to have to do before we get the full sequel to Ōkami on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC out there. Dying Light A new look at Dying Light: The Beast is here and it gives us a look at the new villain we will face in the Dying Light universe It is time to meet the big villain we are going to have to face down in Dying Light: The Beast. All so Kyle and score a win for the greater good out there in the universe and so Techland can keep the fun of the IP flowing out there just a bit more. Especially as this almost was not going to be a title that we might have seen in the Dying Light mix due to the gaming community. Beneath Let us dive into the abyss with Beneath as we get a little more gameplay to hype us all up for the release of Beneath The heart-pounding action of Beneath is back on display after a bit of a hiatus out there, but it is time to head down into the abyss and get hyped up. That is what Camel 101 is going to want for us as we gear up to play this first-person title on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As long as you are cool with having a bit more of the horror under the sea and with some otherworldly monsters who look like they are right at home in some of the deep abysses of the ocean. Dream Cage We have a reveal for Dream Cage that will place us in some dark shoes as we try to escape our Dream Cage Get ready to face some darker fears out there with the reveal that we have for the coming title Dream Cage. A new title from Hitori De Productions that is going to place us in the role of someone who suffers from sleep paralysis. While that would be terrifying in general, what we suffer from also carries over into our waking hours and seems to not just be a biological thing but something truly supernatural out there. More so when we learn that Dream Cage will have us facing off with some true demons and not just those that our brains might be making up for this PC title. Read More...

Split Fiction A new co-op game, Split Fiction, has been announced and we will get to play in two different styles with Split Fiction when it comes It looks like Hazelight Studios is ready to kick us all back in the co-op teeth again with the announcement we have for Split Fiction. The next title in their style of games that EA will be bringing to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 6th of 2025. So, not that long of a wait to be able to play a game where only one player needs to own the core copy of it. Yes, Split Fiction is keeping to that setup that the studio's other titles have gifted to the gaming world for quite a while now. Read More...

Deepest Fear New gameplay for Deepest Fear is out here for us to enjoy and shows off the various gear we will use to fight our Deepest Fear Get ready to go deep underwater now with our first look at the gameplay coming at us for Deepest Fear. A game that looked like it was going to be a massive mind trip when Variable State showed it off in a shorter form not too long ago, but now we have a good chunk of gameplay to take in. A good chunk that shows off the monsters of Deepest Fear a bit more while also highlighting the chaotic nature of things that will be happening in the various missions and tasks we will have to undergo in the game. Like, in this gameplay, not only will we need to defend ourselves from the water monsters out there, but we will also need to use various other bits of gear to stop the area from flooding and plug any other holes we might come across along the way. Borderlands A new look at Borderlands 4 is finally here and it looks like a lot of the old Borderlands fun with a lot of new things to enjoy We had a fun teaser to let us all know that Borderlands 4 was on the way a little while back, and what a way to end out the year with us getting our first good look at the game. Gearbox and 2K still have a lot more work to go into it all before it can hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC but it does look like things have progressed quite a bit in the mix of things.
