Death Relives
Death Relives keeps the development flowing with another look at how the AI will function in Death Relives
Xipe Totec is back out there and wandering around in another look we all have for Death Relives. This is that survival horror title that Nyctophile Studios has been cooking up for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC where we are going to be hunted and haunted by the Aztec god. Things for the game have been flowing out there before now, but the bigger push has been on getting the enemy AI nailed down. We had a look at it before and now that some time has passed, we are back to look at how much of an upgrade Death Relives has had to this system. Let us all have a look and see how harsh this one is going to be out there.
As you will see below, it does look as if the god has been given a bit of an upgrade and it will make Death Relives a little more difficult for us. Although, based on what we saw before, it does feel like there was a bit of a swing in the other direction of the senses Xipe Totec will have out there. Before, it felt like we could make as much noise and be directly spotted as much as possible. Now, it looks like we can barely make a peep or miss one of the heartbeats in the minigame and then it will be game over. Granted, Death Relives is still in development and there could be a happy medium found between all of this. It could also point to levels of difficulty that are coming in the game where this version is the truly omnipotent god and we are only biding time as long as the god allows. Have a look and see for yourself just a little lower down.
Death Relives — AI Test 2
Nyctophile Studios shares a short gameplay snippet from Death Relives, featuring their dynamic AI-driven villain, the Aztec god Xipe Totec, who reacts to sound. The game offers more than just horror elements. You’ll also face challenging puzzles and experience a deep, immersive story. Hope you like it!
How are you feeling about Death Relives after seeing all of this for the AI? Do you think this one looks way too capable or will this just be the god set to the highest difficulty in the game as we try to hide? Where do you see it all going next and will there be a solid way to balance all of this once the game is fully up to speed out there? Creep on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else that we have going on out there. We are going to keep looking at Death Relives as much as possible, so be sure to do the same for the site here.
