This Week In Video Games 1/7/19 — 1/11/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 12th of January 2019 - 12:00 AM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with another week of video games in the bag. There was sure a whole hells of a lot for Metro Exodus this week huh? Not to be outshined by Resident Evil 2 or Anthem but it sure took the highlight quite often. All during CES week at that something that should have had more for us and our video games, but seemed to be a bit on the lighter side for those not looking for a new screen or expensive PC parts. That is at least my hot and fast takeaway on that. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
The cover art for Mortal Kombat 11 is revealed and it brings us just about what would expect from a new Mortal Kombat game We are under a week out from the bigger Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event but we still have something small to keep us going until then. Not that the surprise trailer NetherRealm Studios gave us back at the Game Awards was not enough, we did need something to hold us until now. Then again until April 23rd when Mortal Kombat 11 hits the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. I am sure that is what the reveal event will do but for now we will look at the latest bit to keep us going. The open beta dates for Jump Force have been set and we will see a whole lot of Jump Force’s characters and stages in motion with it Yes, the open beta dates for Jump Force have now been set and we have a few more details to go right along with all of that. It is a little hard to say if this is going to be a true beta test or stress test when it all boils down as Bandai Namco is kicking it all off on the PS4 and Xbox One on January 18th. Almost a month out from the launch and with multiple days and time to go at it, we may be able to shape Jump Force just a bit more than making sure we can play online together. At least that is the hope a lot of gamers will have I am sure. Read More…

Intercept The Storm With The Javelins Of Anthem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of January 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
Two new videos for Anthem are out there detailing two of the main javelins in Anthem with some different loadouts Earlier in the week we saw how good Anthem could potentially look if you are willing to buy all the latest and greatest hardware out there. It is what they seem to be pushing out at CES this year more than anything. That does not always sell games though so we are back with more from BioWare for the game so we can at least see how it could play in our hands. February 22nd is getting ever closer and I know I want to see how each of the javelins in Anthem will handle or differ. Read More…

It Is Time To See How The Team Has Made Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
The first part of a making-of series for Metro Exodus is here to show you how the Metro team crafted this new experience we will soon have One more update for Metro Exodus is here yet again and this one is a making of series that is kicking off. So not the largest of updates or the most exciting for those looking for gameplay, but it is something to take in to get the mentality of 4A Games and Deep Silver when putting all of this together for us. They did want to further expand the Metro universe which is the best part of it all. I did not think they would have let it fall to the side given how it has done so far, and it is true as we have this one hitting us on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC soon. Read More…

The Demo Trailer For The Resident Evil 2 Remake Is Out There
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of January 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
The trailer teased to be at the end of the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo is here and it shows more characters coming to this version of Resident Evil 2 That did not take long as the 1-shot demo for the Resident Evil 2 Remake has not even fully dropped yet and the trailer for those who beat it is already out on the net. I have a feeling Capcom saw this coming, but it does kind of defeat the need for some out there to actually play the little demo in a true way. Now they can watch this trailer and not worry if they are able to beat it in under thirty minutes to see it. Read More…

Catherine Classic Surprise Releases On PC Today
by Jana Lass [ Thursday, 10th of January 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
A surprise release for Catherine is here as Catherine Classic is now available to purchase and download on PC The basics are stated in the headline as Catherine Classic has just launched on PC as of today. You read that correctly as it was just rumored a day ago as Atlus and SEGA had it slip that the game was rated in Germany. Usually, that means that we have a bit of time before launch, but it was all in prep to get Catherine Classic out today. Would that have been awkward had it been rated to a point where it would not launch? Read More…

FutureGrind is almost here as the release date for FutureGrind is set along with a new launch trailer to give us a new look at the game Get ready for the next extreme sport as FutureGrind is coming at us on the PS4, PC, and Switch on January 22nd. That is if you find driving a light cycle through the air where you can explode by not aligning colors an extreme sport. That does sound like one to me and soon we will see what Milkbag Games has done for us. Of course, that may not be the best description of FutureGrind as of right now, but it is what we have to go with as we move toward the release date. Read More…

There is going to be another demo for the Resident Evil 2 Remake here soon and we will only get to try and experience this part of Resident Evil 2 once I am not sure how many gamers are out there on the fence about the Resident Evil 2 Remake and giving it a go, but if you are one of those games you are going to get one chance to do that. Metro Exodus Gets More Photogenic With Photo Mode
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
It was announced that Metro Exodus will be getting a Photo Mode at launch so players can tell their own Metro stories to the world Add Metro Exodus to the growing list of games out there that have a built-in Photo Mode now. It looks like this outing will have it after many gamers out there asked 4A Games to include it in the franchise for some time now. That is at least the reason we have been given as I was not aware of the Metro community begging for this, but I am not all-knowing so it could be true. Just like the fact that this feature will be shipping on day one when the game hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15th. Read More…
