The release date for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 has been pushed a bit more for those still waiting for Bloodlines 2
Here we go once more with some bad news for those holding out for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 to officially launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in the first half of 2025. Not only that, but a bit more of the bad news goes along with it from The Chinese Room for us all who are still holding on for this game to launch. The release date has been pushed once again, but this is where some of the good news comes in, as it sounds like Bloodlines 2 will be aiming for October of this year to drop. A solid timeline for a game about vampires, but it has been so very long and so many developers have already passed through, that it feels like it is never going to rise from the grave out there.
Now, onto the second part of the bad news for Bloodlines 2. The reason for this delay is that while the game is finished and has a whole lot of extra things not originally in the game for us to enjoy, it does look like the team has to fully commit to testing and perfecting the game for us all. That typical "polish" reason we are given for delays. Although, given how long this one has been eluding us in the wilds, it looks like the whole team is in on the testing and that means we are going to also stop getting the developer diaries and updates that we have had up to now. Not that many were showing off much of Bloodlines 2 up to now, but there were at least some signs of progress. Now, it feels like we will be further in the dark until after the summer and we just hope we are not hit with yet another delay for this title. I mean, E3 was still a thing and no one had heard of COVID back when the original launch was supposed to go down…
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Release Date Update
Hello Kindred,
Paradox would like to share an update on the development and release window of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2.
As Marco explained in the video, Bloodlines 2 will not be ready for release in the first half of 2025.
Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room are committed to delivering this game, and we believe that ensuring great technical quality is more important than sticking to a specific date.
The game is currently in a late development stage, and feedback from the community has been taken into account during this time. TCR is working hard on quality assurance to ensure it is stable and free of bugs that could disrupt the player experience.
Bloodlines 2 will launch in October 2025 when the game meets the technical quality standards that you, our fans, rightfully expect and deserve. Please stay tuned for the game’s exact launch date.
They want to ensure that the content they share with us is high-quality and showcases exciting game features. With this updated release timeline, they will pause our development diaries so that the team can concentrate on refining the game. However, they will still be available online for questions and comments, and they welcome everyone to join the Bloodlines 2 Discord.
Did you have a sinking feeling that there was going to be yet another delay for Bloodlines 2 or did you think all the recent footage was getting us ready for the launch? Will it be the end of October when we see the game or could we somehow get the title for the whole month instead? When do you think we will see some final gameplay footage to get excited over or will that be obfuscated until days before the game comes for us all? Slink on down to the comment section to leave all of those thoughts and feelings about this while kicking off some fun discussion in the mix too. We are still hoping to see a final form for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 and will keep offering all that we can for the game. Please just keep on checking in here so you can get that release date and celebrate with us when it does come.
