Star Trek While at SDCC, I was able to see Star Trek: Resurgence in a more intimate setting. Here is my take on the latest for Star Trek: Resurgence It has been a bit of time since Star Trek: Resurgence was revealed to the world and showed that we could hold out hope to take command of a different vessel in the setting's universe. Not too much was revealed at that time, but it looks like that was for good reason with Dramatic Labs working hard to make sure the team's interactive storytelling pedigree was put to good use. A new title that is set in the cartoon version of the beloved IP on Paramount+ and from Tessera Studios that should be hitting all of the platforms out there some time in the Fall of this year. Star Trek A new update for Star Trek: Bridge Crew is here and it allows you to join in on the Star Trek fun without the need for VR headsets We have some good news for you Trekkies out there that feel left out of the fun of Star Trek: Bridge Crew due to not having a full VR set up for your PC our a PSVR for your PS4. That news is that Ubisoft has listened to your cries and opted to put out an update that will allow non-VR gamers out there to access and enjoy the game. That is right; we can now enjoy Star Trek: Bridge Crew without the need of a VR helmet if that is our jam or we do not have all the money out there to get set up in the VR space. Read More...

Star Trek Long running Star Trek Online MMO is now heading to the PS4 and Xbox One so more players can experience the Star Trek free-to-play title It's only been about six months in the waiting but now it looks like Star Trek Online is making the voyage to the PS4 and Xbox One. This is something that Perfect World and Cryptic had in the cards since the consoles that could handle the game's engine popped up and we will be seeing it again this Fall. As an added bonus here too, Star Trek Online will also be keeping its Free-To-Play model during the leap so there will be no worry about having to shell out for a game here to play a massive version of "catch up." It does seem a bit odd that it took this long for Star Trek Online to try and make the jump over to the console world but given the controls and UI of the PC version I think it is safe to say that we can blame it on that. Last year we got to see a very behind closed doors presentation of the new Star Trek game. So closed doors I had to wait until an embargo lifted after E3 2011 to talk about it. This year was quite the opposite. In fact while I was leaving my appointment from seeing Borderlands 2 I took a wrong turn on the show floor and ended up walking down a corridor from the Enterprise leading into a transporter room where myself and a plethora of other fans were whisked away to see the presentation. It's been about eight months since we last heard anything of substance from Digital Extreme's Star Trek. Why don't we go check in and see what is new? Or if anything, see if there is anything all that spectacularly new since the E3 demo recording. Cryptic Studios has just announced that it's highly acclaimed MMORPG Star Trek Online will be free-to-play before the end of this year. The game will also be downloadable and playable at no cost! "In addition to seeking out new life and exploring strange new civilizations, part of our continuing mission for Star Trek Online is to expand and improve," said Jack Emmert, CEO, Cryptic Studios. "Transitioning to a free-to-play model is a natural way to share all we've built with a broader community of players and we couldn't be more excited." Now if you saw the Sony press conference you might have caught the small bit about a new Star Trek game coming soon with a really cool looking phaser add-on for the Move.
