Star Trek Long running Star Trek Online MMO is now heading to the PS4 and Xbox One so more players can experience the Star Trek free-to-play title It's only been about six months in the waiting but now it looks like Star Trek Online is making the voyage to the PS4 and Xbox One. This is something that Perfect World and Cryptic had in the cards since the consoles that could handle the game's engine popped up and we will be seeing it again this Fall. As an added bonus here too, Star Trek Online will also be keeping its Free-To-Play model during the leap so there will be no worry about having to shell out for a game here to play a massive version of "catch up." It does seem a bit odd that it took this long for Star Trek Online to try and make the jump over to the console world but given the controls and UI of the PC version I think it is safe to say that we can blame it on that. Talk about another title that wasn't on my radar until I got a chance to sit down and actually have some good hands on with. The title in the instance is Neverwinter. Another attempt at making the perfect version of Dungeons&Dragons into an interactive video game. In this attempt though, I feel that they are just about spot on with what I was able to play. Just as a heads up, I was only able to get handsie with the Wizard class, although it felt more like a Sorcerer. Cryptic Studios has just announced that it's highly acclaimed MMORPG Star Trek Online will be free-to-play before the end of this year. The game will also be downloadable and playable at no cost! "In addition to seeking out new life and exploring strange new civilizations, part of our continuing mission for Star Trek Online is to expand and improve," said Jack Emmert, CEO, Cryptic Studios. "Transitioning to a free-to-play model is a natural way to share all we've built with a broader community of players and we couldn't be more excited." I haven't had much luck with Dungeons and Dragons games lately, but for some reason I am still really excited for Neverwinter. The last time I talked about Neverwinter was in August of last year. At that time, all we had was a place holder website and a few comments from Cryptic Studios. We finally get our first look at Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter at E3 this year, and I can say one thing for sure - it looks like Dungeons and Dragons. So there you have it, another Dungeons and Dragons title by Atari. Neverwinter will be an online RPG based on the Wizards of the Coast city of Neverwinter. Once a bustling location, Neverwinter has faced a great many disasters in the past hundred years. New Screens For Star Trek Online There has been some more screen shots released into the wild for our consumption for Cryptic's new game Star Trek Online. Nothing really all that ground breaking except for the fact that there are a few more shots that are not of the space scenes of the game. Something that has been kind of rare from the past shots that have snuck out into the wild. I am still kind of curious on exactly how this game will actually look during play.
