Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We made it through another fun week, and had so many more video games release and get some big updates. Even if titles like Grand Theft Auto VI and God Of War Laufey had very little to add to the title for now, it was still a massive week for us all. God Of War We have the full God Of War Laufey panel out of SDCC this year, and we get the release date for God Of War Laufey out of it all It was reported early on that we were going to have a bit of a panel out there at SDCC for God Of War Laufey. One that was supposed to give us a bunch to look forward to for the game, and to help Santa Monica Studio help to get us all onboard again with the PS5 and what PlayStation has been doing. Well, they all took the stage, and it was a packed house out there at SDCC 2026, and there were a lot who did not get to experience it. Pinball We had a chance to play around with the machines that Stern Pinball brought during SDCC, along with the newest Transformers Pinball experience to have At Comic Con this year, AggroGamer was afforded the opportunity to demo the new Stern Pinball machine based on the Transformers, as well as one for Pokémon. We tested the premium model, which is the 2nd tier as far as price and extras in the usual Stern line of Pro, Premium, and Limited. Stage Tour We had a chance to rock out with the makers of Stage Tour during SDCC and got some insight into Stage Tour and what fans should expect There is certainly one new game on the way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this year that we have been excited for, and that is Stage Tour. The new rhythm game that brought RedOctane Games back into the mix to make sure all of our plastic guitars are not just collecting dust. All while making sure we are still rocking out until the late nights. Dungeon Crawler Carl We had a chance to sit down with the talent behind Dungeon Crawler Carl during SDCC and got some insight into Dungeon Crawler Carl and the audiobooks If one new IP was able to take over SDCC this year, it was certainly Dungeon Crawler Carl. A relatively new book series that I am sure you have heard a few things about, or seen a few of the memes on the internet. As long as you are into the video game space, or the gaming space in general. If not, then get ready to learn a bit more about the IP, as Audible had us out to interview the writer of Dungeon Crawler Carl (Matt Dinniman), along with the main voice talent (Jeff Hays) for the audiobook version of the series. Wolverine Go further into the story for Marvel’s Wolverine, with a look at the game and the SDCC panel for Marvel’s Wolverine Many know the story so far for the character, but it looks as if things are going to be shaken up a little bit in Marvel’s Wolverine when it comes to the story. Not just how it will link into the universe that Insomniac Games has been building for a while, but what will be different for this version of the character. That seems to be just what the panel at SDCC covered this year, along with giving us a few more characters that Wolverine will be dealing with along the way. Resident Evil A new look at Resident Evil happened at SDCC this year, along with a fun Resident Evil fan scavenger hunt in Raccoon City We knew that there would be a panel out there for the upcoming Resident Evil movie during SDCC 2026, and the team did not let us all down. With the film hitting theaters on September 18th, and the ride that Zach Cregger has been on with films, this one needed to show the fans just what they were going to be getting into. Gods, does it all deliver and look to be one of the scariest Resident Evil films to date. Not just with the latest trailer for the film, but also some of the behind-the-scenes conversations we had with the director during the panel, and then the fun little off-site event that had fans running around a small section of Raccoon City trying to find all of the resources to survive. Wolverine A new cinematic look at Marvel’s Wolverine shows off some of the story and two more of Wolverine’s antagonists Just ahead of the bigger showcase going down at SDCC 2026, we have a new look at Marvel’s Wolverine. Well, more of a cinematic look and reveal of some new antagonists in the game, along with a bit of the story that Insomniac Games is cooking up for us. As long as we are all still onboard with snagging Marvel’s Wolverine on September 15th on the PS5 after everything that has gone down with the publisher. It is not great, but we do not need to punish the developer for what their parent company is doing… as of yet… With that all said, let us all have a look at the new video that we have for the game to see a bit of the cinematic nature this one is going to go with. Adult Swim Head back to the Green to party with Adult Swim, as well as have a look at all of the things upcoming for Adult Swim It is another year for SDCC, and it looks as if Adult Swim is going to be hitting us all with the tradition we have had many times over the years. The massive fan experience is coming back and giving all who are at SDCC 2026 a little more fun with all of their favorite IPs. This time with a few new things to partake in, and many of the games that we have seen over the years. Only that this year's Adult Swim On The Green event will be focused a bit more on Rick & Morty, You Clowns, and the upcoming President Curtis show that will be on the way to us in the future. The Lodge Paramount+ is bringing The Lodge back to SDCC in 2026, and here is a look at all the fun The Lodge will open up for us It has become the tradition out there each year of SDCC now that Paramount+’s The Lodge comes back and gives us so many more experiences to have. This is the update that we are getting, just that, even if it looks as if most fans will be standing in the standby line to get in. Unless more reservations for The Lodge experience are dropped out there before July 22nd when the whole thing opens up to experience. We will hope that is the case, as it does look as if Paramount+ will be celebrating so many big things this year, with Star Trek, South Park, and Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender amongst the fun that will be seen behind these closed doors. Aliens A new showcase for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is here for one of the character classes, and we will have more fun at SDCC with Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 It's time to pick up some gear and take up a role in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Not just in the game, but it looks as if there will be some extra fun for the game out at SDCC when Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Games offers us all a new look at the game. Control A new look at Control Resonant will be on display during SDCC 2026, along with many of the voices bringing Control Resonant to life Add more video games to the list of titles out at SDCC this year, with Control Resonant getting its own panel to help highlight the game before the September 24th release date that it has. It looks as if Remedy is getting fully behind it all after the last big showing just a few weeks ago, and next week, on July 25th, they will be hosting a nice panel to give us all more.
