The Lodge The fun of Paramount+’s The Lodge is coming back to SDCC this year and The Lodge will hold even more shows & swag within The fun of Paramount+’s The Lodge is happening once more during SDCC this year and will be bringing us a whole lot of extra fun. The experience has hopped around from last year to now and this one is looking to bring back some favorite things along with more to hype up the upcoming shows and IPs that the streaming service has. Sadly, there is now South Park, as the Las Vegas version of The Lodge had, but that does not mean we will not have a lot of fun with the other Paramount+ shows. Adult Swim The backside of SDCC is being taken over by Adult Swim again with Adult Swim offering up a four-day pirate-themed event and panels One of the big staples of SDCC every year, at least outside of the main convention, has been the fun that Adult Swim brings every year. They have brought so much over the years to entertain not only on the show floor but also outside for those who might not be able to make it inside. This year, is not going to be anything different with Adult Swim bringing a Pirate Parrrty outside and many panels and screenings going on inside. Funko A lot of new gameplay for Funko Fusion is out there to let us see how many of our favorite Funko characters will function In the mix of all of the craziness we have had for our video games, we might have missed out on some solid gameplay for Funko Fusion that was dropped out there. Thankfully, during the Nintendo Direct and a few other things, 10:10 Games has made sure we all get to see this new gameplay well before the September 13th release date for the game. All so we can get better used to seeing more of the Funko figures running around on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC while not just cluttering up our walls and shelves out there. Batman A new story is coming with Batman: Arkham Shadow that will place Batman back in a familiar universe but with a story we might have wanted Just as we were all promised for the Summer Game Fest event, we have something new to look at for Batman: Arkham Shadow. The Walking Dead A new puzzle game for The Walking Dead is coming with The Walking Dead: Solve To Survive that will task us all with solving the puzzles We still have a few months before SDCC 2024, but that does not mean we are not seeing some of the fun starting to roll out like we are with The Walking Dead: Solve To Survive. A fun little game and event that Skybound is putting on for all of those who are part of the Skybound Insiders program. Something that they are claiming to have a Mass Community Play aspect for fans of The Walking Dead, to build hype up for the upcoming projects, and for us all to have a solid bit of puzzle gaming leading up to SDCC this year. Batman A new VR Batman title is on the way to us all with the official reveal of Batman: Arkham Shadow coming to the Meta Quest Gotham needs saving, again, and this time we get to don the cape and cowl with the announcement of Batman: Arkham Shadow. A new VR title for the Meta Quest 3 coming out of Camouflaj later this year. This would be the same team that brought other superhero IPs to life in VR and now it is time to work some magic over on the DC side of it all. Final Fantasy The release date for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is set and we have an extra Final Fantasy VII treat for you too Well, if you were looking to get a new title on your mobile devices out there, we can now look to September 7th for when we can add Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis to our iOS or Android devices. There have been a few chances to give it all a play when Square Enix dropped a beta for it out there just before SDCC and then a massive push during the event. D&D I was able to check out the Secrets of D&D Dungeon Mastering with Chris Perkins and learned much more about D&D At SDCC this year, I was one of the fortunate folks who got to attend the Dungeons & Dragons wiseman Chris Perkins discussion of how to be a (or be a better) Dungeon Master. I say fortunate due to the line to get in being so vast there are probably still people waiting to get in as write this over a week later. I showed up to Room 29CD for Secrets of D&D Dungeon Mastering with Chris Perkins over an hour and a half early due a combination of being unable to get into a panel on the fungus in The Last Of Us and its likelihood of ever actually happening plus my personal anxiety to never be late to anything.
