Twisted Metal Gets Just As Explicit As Many Of Us Have Been Hoping For
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of July 2023 - 07:00 PM ]
Twisted Metal The latest trailer for Twisted Metal shows off more of the story, characters, and the darkness Twisted Metal is going to go to There are only a few more weeks left until we can start streaming Twisted Metal on Peacock, and I think I am finally and fully excited for the show. As a long-time fan of the video game, I know I set a rather high bar for it all to hit. If you did not know that already, have a look back at all of the other coverage for Twisted Metal we have had on the site up until now. That should set my mindset of things and the reason why I was doubtful about the show before. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of June 2023 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week is over and we only hit a small portion of what was left out there from Summer Game Fest, the Ubisoft Forward, and the various other shows that took the place of E3 this year. Not out of the norm, but with less gameplay and more hype trailers in general. Thankfully, Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Immortals Of Aveum gave us some fun gameplay to look at. Twisted Metal Teases Us All With A Sweet Tooth Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of June 2023 - 05:00 PM ]
Twisted Metal A new look at the Twisted Metal series is here with things feeling less Twisted Metal once more As was to be expected out of the Summer Game Fest, we have another look at the upcoming Twisted Metal series coming to Peacock. Okay, well, maybe not expected but it feels about right with the show kicking off on July 27th for those that throw in on the service. Given that many out there have been cautious about giving any of this a solid chance, yours truly included, we will take all that we can to get ready. Now, we have one nice little scene between John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Twisted Metal's main face Sweet Tooth (Will Arnett/Samoa Joe) for us all to see just how it is going to flow out there. This Week In Video Games 4/24/23 — 4/28/23
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of April 2023 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That was a bit of a rough week out here but we had some good video games in the mix of it all here. Not just the games side of things, but there was the drop of the first look at Twisted Metal out there while we wait for the upcoming Star Trek: Resurgence and Diablo IV to come out too. Maybe even a bit more for other video games like Aliens: Dark Descent we will be seeing soon. The distractions are always welcomed out here when the real world opts to try to beat us all down more than lift us up. Read More...

Twisted Metal The first teaser for Twisted Metal, the upcoming TV series, is here to kind of be Twisted Metal Here we go with the upcoming Twisted Metal series that is on the way to Peacock streaming this Summer. A nice little teaser that features Anthony Mackie as John Doe in a familiar yet not specific vehicle in the world. Review: Twisted Metal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of February 2012 - 06:01 PM ]
So it has been quite some time since most of the fans of Twisted Metal have received a sequel, reboot or whatever to the franchise. That last title coming out almost four years ago on the PS2 so it was about time to bring one Sony's biggest, and in my opinion one of the best, to the next gen hardware. This is just what they did. So how did this franchise hold up and is it worth picking up? Read More...

We Are Already Getting Schooled In Twisted Metal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of February 2012 - 06:38 PM ]
For those of you lucky enough to be able to get into the Twisted Metal demo and go into multiplayer you've probably seen a few people in there who are just trouncing everyone. Do you wonder how they are doing it besides making the assumption that they are testers? Or do you just want to know the ins and outs of the game before it launches on Tuesday? Well let's go to the Twisted Metal University and learn these tricks of the trade. Below you will see the first two, of what I am assuming to be a few more, videos that showcase some of the controls and tactics of the vehicles in the game. Read More...

Shoot Live Ammo At A Twisted Metal Vehicle. I'm In!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of February 2012 - 10:05 PM ]
So it's funny to think about, but what happened to the Sweet Tooth truck that was used to announce and further promote Twisted Metal on the PS3? Or more or less what will happen once the PR Tour is over. Will it sit in a warehouse somewhere next to the Ark of the Covenant and Crystal Skulls? Well here is the answer to that. It looks like what will happen is that we will get to shoot it to all hells with live ammo. Yes I said we as in us the fans and gamers. Read More...

New Twisted Metal Trailers
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 20th of December 2011 - 05:35 PM ]
A couple new trailers for Eat Sleep Play's Twisted Metal have been released, one featuring my favorite character, Mr. Grimm and the other featuring Dollface. The trailers showcase a little bit of each characters back story, a hefty dose of heavy metal and some sweet, sweet game play. I grew up playing the original Twisted Metal games, so seeing one of my favorite childhood franchises come back guns blazing in a hail of fire and bullets makes me crack a smile across my face, ear to ear. The first trailer is Mr. Grimm, who is a different person from the last installment (Twisted Metal: Black) but is just as cool, showing us some of his signature weapons like the "Flame Saw" which is an exploding chainsaw that has been grinding on the concrete for a few hundred feet. A Little Twsited Metal Before PAX Prime
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2011 - 03:45 PM ]
I like to think that there is no one sadder that myself about the Twisted Metal delay. I'm sure there might be, but I don't want to make assumptions here. No need to make and Ass out of U and Ptions. Am I right or am I right? Of course I am. Moving on now. Well we might not be getting the game in October and there won't be a "beta" for the multiplayer, at least as David Jaffe has stated. What we will be getting is a new playable map at PAX Prime. For those of us who are not going to PAX Prime and don't want to wait for news and videos to leak out, below we have a few new screen shots for your digestion. Read More...

E3 2011 Hands On: Twisted Metal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of June 2011 - 08:56 PM ]
So it has been a year since the new Twisted Metal was announced at E3 during the Sony press conference. It seems like it would be a good time to check in and see what the designers over at Eat Sleep Play have been doing since then. Yes there have been some fun new trailers and game play footage, but that doesn't give one a good feeling of how the game would handle. For that you need to place hands to controller. It was extremely fitting that the first location to get my godly hands on the game was in the arcade set up immediately after the Sony conference. Read More...

We Got A Look At Axel From Twisted Metal...Kind Of
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of April 2011 - 08:38 PM ]
Not only do we have a few shots of the Axel-like vehicle from Twisted Metal, but we also have a couple of game play clips of the multiplayer for the game. One kind of looks like the semi overtake races from Split/Second with a TM twist and the other a full arena style combat with a God Of War twist. At least that twist with all the spike traps and huge swinging spiked balls aimed to destroy your vehicle. I will say that what I've seen so far did have me flashing back to my early PS1 days with Twisted Metal though. Read More...
