That did not mean we did not have a whole lot to share out there for the week in video games and all of the other aspects, just that we had such little time. Especially as we are getting everything from Peacefest and Peacemaker out there from SDCC 2025, as well as our fun from the Clown In A Cornfield Experience we had to do. Back in April, I wrote an article showcasing what I had seen of Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014 during my interview at PAX East. I had been waiting for the game to be released so I could hop into it and get my first look at the new Magic The Gathering 2014 Core Set expansion since, as always, I knew that all MTG players will get their first look and get to play with the cards first in DOTP. I was insanely excited to go to the Wizards of the Coast Booth at PAX East this year. Last year I skipped it because I thought they were only showing off expansions for Magic: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. I learned shortly after that they were actually showing off alpha stages of Magic: DOTP 2013. I was not going to make that mistake again this year. Magic: The Gathering has been around since 1993, and converting the card game into a video game has been going on since 1997 with its first title Magic: The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalker for the PC. Well we will be getting another Magic: The Gathering game with Wizard of the Coast and Sony Online Entertainment teaming up to develop Magic: The Gathering – Tatics. John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment recently said, “By collaborating with Wizards of the Coast, we're able to combine the strengths of both companies to develop an innovative, online, 3D game based on an extremely popular IP. We're Going to be taking the Magic: The Gathering Multiverse places player have never seen” John was not the only one that had something to say about the upcoming title. Read More...
