The Stages Have Been Greatly Upgraded For Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic

Have a look at just how some of the old Sonic stages have been fully upgraded for Sonic X Shadow Generations

There are going to be so many updates and changes coming to Sonic X Shadow Generations when October 25th comes around, and now is the time to see some of those. More along the lines of how Sonic Team and SEGA have updated the game and changed things to give us a bit of the old while still feeling as if it is a fully new game. That is, here we get to see how some of those older stages that Sonic and Shadow were running from before have been given a newer look and feel to things. Along with all of that, there also seem to be a lot of shifts and changes to fix things that were just not possible back when all of the game first launched. Something that is not going to mean a thing to any who are coming into all of these things for the first time in a few months.

As you are already, at least hopefully assuming, the new look to the levels in Sonic X Shadow Generations has been vastly updated to a point where it feels like a night and day change. They still keep their same course, mostly, but look just about as one would expect if the game was being made for the first time today. Not a shocker. What is interesting to see, though, is that some of the levels have been stripped of certain things like caves and fog for Sonic to run through, and left wide open. My guess, is that the previous consoles and systems just could not compute all of the open space so these elements were used to make the games run smoothly. Now that the team can pipe in more for the visuals, I am guessing the art team was allowed to stretch their legs further to offer up a bit of a shift to things while still having us run the course.
