It Was Announced That You Will Soon Be The Enemy Of The State
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2022 - 07:00 PM ]
Enemy Of The State A new top-down shooter, Enemy Of The State, is announced to make us all take on the role of someone who is now an Enemy Of The State It is going to be time to enter into the criminal underworld in 2024 with the announcement we have for Enemy Of The State. This is a new top-down shooter from Brave Lamb Studio and Movie Games that will whisk us all back to the 1920s and the world of crime lords again. Yes, it seems a bit odd for a company to announce their games this far out, but that just feels like the level of faith that the team has in the game to me. More so when you find out that this is just the announcement for Enemy Of The State on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with little gameplay to offer up but just a feel for the world we will be inhabiting when it does come. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of March 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
The Beast Inside New gameplay of The Beast Inside’s current demo is out there now and it gives a better taste of what horror The Beast Inside will have for us The Beast Inside just recently kicked off the Kickstarter campaign to get the game funded and brought to completion. Since it launched it has been kicking ass and taking names as it is almost at its base goal with just under a month left to go. It looks like many out there are digging what Illusion Ray has to offer and want to see it come to completion. As things are in the world though, there are many who are on the fence for The Beast Inside, as they like to see some kind of substance of a game or item before throwing their hard-earned cash at it. The Beast Inside The Kickstarter campaign for The Beast Inside is in full swing and now gamers who were interested in The Beast Inside can help fund the game and see what could be coming Here we go with another video game trying to get off the ground through Kickstarter, as the campaign for The Beast Inside is underway. Well, it has been underway for a few days now, but I would be remiss if I did not pass the information along to you so you too can help Illusion Ray get the funds needed to finish up the game. I say finish up as it does look like The Beast Inside has had a whole lot of work already done on it and even if the Kickstarter fails, I am sure there will be a release from Movie Games at some point down the line. Looks Like We May Be Getting A Dead Island Movie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Near the end of last week Deep Silver and Occupant Entertainment announced that a Dead Island film adaptation is in the works Time to hear the resounding cheers and jeers for the announcement of a Dead Island film. Yes, it looks like we may be getting a film adaptation of Deep Silver's largest zombie themed game. The first Dead Island has sold over 8 million copies of the game to date so it seems like it would be a perfect time to rake in more dough on the franchise. Zombies are still all the rage so it makes sense. Read More...

April Fools: So It Begins With The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Over the weekend 'The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure' was 'announced' from Guerrilla Games. So April Fools Begins… I guess we are letting the 'fun' of April Fools begins early with The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure. Just in case you missed this, over the weekend this 'announcement' was placed on Killzone website for all to see. I personally think someone pulled the trigger too soon on posting this up on their blog but here you have it; the first of the April Fools' jokes that you all know I love so much. If this is not an early April Fools joke then I am a monkey's uncle. Read More...

Review: Wreck-It Ralph
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of October 2012 - 10:41 PM ]
For the last few months we've all been bombarded with ads and trailers for Disney's upcoming Wreck-It Ralph. A film that looks like it will do to video games what Toy Story did to toys. But how well is the question? Well sit back and enjoy our review of Wreck-It Ralph. The Story: 'Wreck-It' Ralph is the villain of a 'retro' game in an arcade who is pretty much crapped on for being the villain. He hates it. Who wouldn't? Read More...

You've Got To Be Kidding Me. New Mortal Kombat Film In The Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of October 2011 - 03:48 PM ]
Please gods don't let there be another video game film craze coming again. Earlier this week we found out Dead Island has been optioned for a featured film. Now, Mortal Kombat is getting the same treatment. Yes, another Mortal Kombat film is in the works. Although it has potential to be really good but only if things work out as alluded to. Apparently things went way better for the Web Series that was directed by Kevin Tancharoen than Warner Bros. expected. Read More...

Dead Island The Movie... Do We Need It?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2011 - 06:44 PM ]
Do we need yet another zombie film? Or even better, another zombie film based on a video game? I mean are the Resident Evil films not enough for us? If you answered along the lines of "Yes, give me another zombie film based on a video game." then I have some good news for you. Lionsgate has just announced that they have optioned the film rights to Dead Island the movie. Yea… I think… I am being a little hasty here though. It looks like the reason has been optioned is all based around the concept of the first trailer we were given back in February of this year. Read More...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 8 - Same Old Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of June 2011 - 10:28 PM ]
What a twist! Who knew that Quan Chi was the master mind behind the whole Sub Zero/Scorpion plot? My mind is blown! Completely didn't expect this "reimagining" to go there. Madness! Wait… What…? That is the basic canon of the Mortal Kombat universe? It wasn't something amazingly awesome thought up by the people who wrote something amazing to get the WB behind this little web series? Damn… I was really hoping for something here. Now that my sarcasm has been given the chance to be out in the open for the day, let's move on. Read More...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 7 - Scorpion The Family Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of May 2011 - 08:55 PM ]
That didn't last long. The awesome reimagining of the Mortal Kombat franchise that was shown in episode 6 seems to be thrown to the side as we are back on the path of the stories we already know. Oh, and just like the Kitana/Mileena story, this one is set up the same way only with franchise favorites Scorpion and Sub Zero. That includes the "To Be Continued" at the end of the episode. I will give the episode a bit of credit as it does expand on the whole rivalry story between the two characters. Read More...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 6 - Raiden's Gone Crazy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of May 2011 - 09:59 PM ]
Finally we get something that was originally pitched way back when. It only took six episodes before we got another gritty take on the Mortal Kombat universe. While it was nothing as insane as how Baraka or Scorpion were presented, it does ask the question of "What would happen if a god fell in the modern age?" It also answers it pretty accurately too boot. This week's episode features Raiden who seems to have fallen out of power and into the grounds of a mental institution. Read More...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 5 - Sibling Rivalry...Kind Of
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of May 2011 - 09:02 PM ]
The latest episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy has hit the web and it continues down the path of just retelling the story from the game. I have given up hope that they would begin to go back to the "reality based" version. So I am going to try and approach this from a different angle as my original excitement was for something that seems will never be. Anyway, this episode continues the animatic and story of Kitana and Mileena that was approached in last week's episode. It has the girls vying for their "father's" approval by fighting each other and following out assassination plots. Read More...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 4 - Let's Go To Outworld
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of May 2011 - 03:48 PM ]
Um…I really don't know what to say this time. Other than it looks like the previously mentioned boat has now brought that jumper to the ramp before the shark. This new episode has completely deviated from the original pitch from last year. It reeks of either studio demands or that the production team stopped caring about bring what was originally hyped. I knew Baraka was going to be grossly different than the "real world" rendition, but they went all fantasy on it. Outside of fully deviating from the original gritty real world feel, most of this week's episode is also done in an animatic format. Read More...
