by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of March 2022 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with putting one more week of video games in the bag and heading toward the next. It is an endless cycle, but it does offer up a fun game loop to enjoy as we see titles like Wanted: Dead and Ragnaröck get some interesting updates this week. Not to mention all of the updates coming to Returnal and a new review for A Musical Story that we had the pleasure to drop out there to you. We all live our lives as we do in our video games, just with things generally being less fun and extravagant. Read More...

Review — A Musical Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2022 - 09:00 PM ]
A Musical Story We sit down and review A Musical Story. A funky new rhythm game that explores musical memory. Here is our review of A Musical Story It feels like true rhythm games have taken a backseat over the years with only a few standing the test of time. They are fun, but for some, they get burnt out rather quickly. Now we have A Musical Story entering the scene from Glee-Cheese Studio and Digerati to see if they can add more to the map and offer up something new and unique. A title that aims to give us some fresh much, but also tap into a story and play with the idea of musical memory. Read More...

A Musical Story The release dates for A Musical Story are set down and we do not have long to wait to experience A Musical Story You would not be blamed if you spaced on A Musical Story being in the cards to release out there, but given how long it has been to see a solid date for the game, you could be forgiven. Glee-Cheese Studio and Digerati have been hard at work to get this fun looking rhythm title out there for all of the platforms and now we have a release set upon us. We can all expect to add A Musical Story to our PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC, and mobile devices right at the start of March. Read More...

God Of Riffs Will Test Your Metalhead Rhythm Skills In July
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of Riffs Heavy Metal VR Rhythm game, God Of Riffs, will be hitting an Early Access in July to see if you really are the God Of Riffs out there When it comes to rhythm and VR games out there, we all know there is one leading the way, which is why it is nice to see another one going out there as we have for God Of Riffs. It is one coming from Boss Music Games and Vyersoft for the Oculus hardware via Steam that looks to bring the style of game to those who prefer some harder music out there. Harder by the way of God Of Riffs bringing some heavy metal music in the flow of it all while using the basic gameplay loop we have seen in other rhythm games out there. Read More...

A Musical Story Is Coming To Take Us Through A Silent Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of March 2021 - 06:00 PM ]
A Musical Story A new rhythm game, A Musical Story, is announced for us and it looks like A Musical Story will tell us a story through the music and art It is always fun to see when we have new IPs coming out from small teams and here we go with the latest titled A Musical Story. A new rhythm title that is coming out of Glee-Cheese Studio for the Switch, Xbox One, PC, and iOS platforms. That is the current list but I have a feeling that could expand over time. No matter the case, A Musical Story is coming and it looks like it is going to try to tell an interesting story with nothing more than the music and visuals for us to experience. Read More...

Rock Band 4 Will Be Making A Full Jump To The Next-Gen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of October 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Rock Band It has been confirmed that Rock Band 4, its DLC and all of the current-gen Rock Band instruments will be going next-gen It was known that Rock Band 4 was going to be making the jump into the next-gen realm for a bit now as it has been left off the list of games that would not be hitting the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Those lists are generally so short now that it seems odd to state when games will be making the leap over via an update or backward compatibility. When it comes to this one, there is a bit more to take in as there are years of DLC and controllers that we have spent money on and it would be nice to know if we can keep the Rock Band fun going after the next-gen systems hit. Review — Rock Band Rivals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of November 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Rock Band We sit down and review Rock Band Rivals. A huge expansion for the original title to build from. Here's our review of Rock Band Rivals When I saw that Rock Band 4 was going to be a thing I became overly excited and prepped to get back into the swing of things. I was glad to see Harmonix bringing back one of the franchises I loved to play; and back on the PS4 and Xbox One. Then things fell a bit flat for me. Like something was truly missing from the game. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of April 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Rock Band Rock Band 4 is finally getting online multiplayer added into the mix and a few other huge features that have yet to be seen in Rock Band to date We may not be getting a PC version of Rock Band 4 anytime soon but we are all finally getting online multiplayer for the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. Yep, one of the most requested features for the game is finally coming back and Harmonix is hard at work to do it again. Sadly though it looks like we will be waiting quite a bit more time to play against/with our friends online in Rock Band 4 as it is currently on the list of updates coming by Holiday of 2016. Rock Band 4 Getting Updates & Maybe Hardware As A New Publisher Joins
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of March 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Rock Band Harmonix, and in turn Rock Band, have entered a new co-publishing agreement that could me new Rock Band 4 features and new hardware to rock with If you were thinking that all you were going to get for Rock Band 4 as we pressed on was only going to be new tracks and minor updates to the game then you may have been right. It did seem that way as after the last major update it looked like Harmonix was kind of in a tough spot and just trying to stay afloat for all of the fans out there. Hells they are still working on a PC version of the game and don't forget Rock Band VR. Read More...

Rock Band 4 Heading To PC…If You’re Willing To Pay…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of March 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Rock Band 4 Looks like Rock Band 4 could be headed to the PC platform as a new Fig campaign has been opened to complete development on Rock Band 4 for PC Rock Band 4 hit the PS4 and Xbox One only a few months ago and people questioned why we were not seeing it on the PC as the main competitor was hitting all of the platforms out there. Harmonix quickly rebuffed those claims with the reasons of piracy and not placing the game on a PC platform was the only way to negate that issue. Well it seems that was only a placeholder answer as now we may see Rock Band 4 land on the PC as they are looking for funding to bring it there. Read More...

Review — Amplitude
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of December 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Amplitude We sit down and review Amplitude. It's been 12 years in the re-making so there is a lot to live up to. Did they do it? Here's our review of Amplitude It is hard to believe that Amplitude originally came out back in 2003. It truly doesn't seem like that long ago but none the less Harmonix has come together again, with the help of a successful Kickstarter, to bring Amplitude off of the PS2 and onto the PS3 and PS4 for the new generation. This isn't just a port but a true remake of Amplitude. Of course fans of the game have a lot of expectations here and now is the time to dig in and see if they were met. Read More...

Rock Band 4's Gnarly Bugs To Get Fixed But You May Not Like It
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of December 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Rock Band 4 Another major update for Rock Band 4 is on its way in January and it looks to fix major bugs in Rock Band 4 but will require a leaderboard wipe If you were thinking about doing a major Rock Band 4 marathon over the holiday weekend to try and rack up some serious leaderboard cred you may want to hold off for now. If you are just looking to have fun with Rock Band 4 go right ahead but for those looking to reach the top of the boards it looks like Harmonix is going to set everyone back to zero after their next planned major update coming to the PS4 and Xbox One this coming January. The good news though is that this is all to fix some major glitches and exploits in Rock Band 4 to make the game a bit more balanced for all players no matter the skill level. Read More...

Rock Band 4 Is About To Get More Brütal This Month
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of December 2015 - 08:03 PM ]
Rock Band 4 A new gameplay mode for Rock Band 4 has been shown off, Brutal Mode, and it adds a huge spin on Rock Band 4 that many people may not be able to handle We've already heard of a few great things coming to Rock Band 4 with the next major update for the game. Well it looks like Harmonix had yet another feature mixed in that we are just hearing about called Brutal Mode. As if Expert and Breakneck Speeds were not going to kill us in Rock Band 4 already, now we have a new mode that will not only challenge the hardcore fan but pretty much anyone who is gutsy enough to give Rock Band 4's new Brutal Mode a play. This will not be for the non-nimble fingered for sure. Read More...
