Revealing The Secrets Of The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of March 2010 - 03:15 PM ]
In the deep dark back rooms of GDC 2010, Funcom brought forth a new look at their up and coming modern world MMO The Secret World. You needed to know the secret path, the secret hand shake, and secret credentials to get in to see it. Or just be there and made an appointment to go and check out what Funcom had to show. My version would have been much cooler, you have to admit. But for those of you who didn't get to go through my made up scenario? Read More...

Another South Park Song To Hit Rock Band
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of March 2010 - 01:41 AM ]
While it is not Shitty Shitty Fag Fag or Blame Canada or even Uncle Fucker, it is one of the most amazing remixes and product placements in South Park in almost forever. I'm talking a little ditty that was featured with "Rock Band" during the episode of Whale Whores. Yea, that's right. Joining Timmy and The Lords Of The Underworld, artist and song title, is Eric Cartman's perfect rendition of Poker Face. A song that when I hear it gets stuck in my head for days. The Cartman version at least. Read More...

No Shankn' way!! A New Trailer!!
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 10th of March 2010 - 05:56 PM ]
The last time we heard anything about Shank was at PAX in Seattle, Washington where I claimed it to be the best game I played at PAX. No new news of any sorts has come out about who will partner with Klei Entertainment to bring this game to see the time of day. As reported a few days ago at shankgame.com they have partnered up with EA Partners to bring Shank to XBox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. Now at GDC, Shank has released a new trailer for everyone to enjoy. Read More...

Sneaking You Some Shots Of Lara Croft
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of March 2010 - 03:59 PM ]
Looks like Lara is no longer raiding tombs, at least in the title form of things. As can be seen in the latest in the Lara Croft stories, Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light. Which is much better than other titles it could have been like Lara Croft And The Space Aliens That Crashed And Died On Earth And She Has To Take Her Son On An Adventure With Monkey. Not that catchy I know. But title is not the point here for this digitally distibuted game slated for this summer. Read More...

Why Is Kratos Bringing Down The Gods In God Of War III?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of March 2010 - 08:06 PM ]
With only one week from today (3/9/10) until the launching of God of War III closing in quickly, that doesn't give a lot of time if you decide to play through the story of the previous games again, whether you are a veteran - such as myself - or are new to the franchise. That is, unless you're willing to grind through it all in a weekend like I most likely will.  Unfortunately, for those of you picking up the God of War Collection now for the first time, it will take you a bit longer than one short weekend to hammer through. Thankfully, Sony and Santa Monica Studios know this. Read More...

Scream! Finally, Some New Castlevania Screen Shots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of March 2010 - 03:09 PM ]
Almost a year after its announcement at E3 '09, we finally get to see what Hideo Kojima has been doing to one of gaming's iconic franchises, Castlevania. He is playing around with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow in a way that I am still kind of on the fence about. At least I write that based off the screen shots below and renders for the Kojima's Castlevania. Some look amazing, while others look like they were originally slated to be place-holder assets that got mixed into the screen shot bin. Look at the renders for the spiders, werewolves, and goblins (I guess? Read More...

Steam Coming To Mac?
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 4th of March 2010 - 04:48 PM ]
With the Game Developers Conference just a short ways away, and Valve revving everyone up for their "Big Announcement," little has been left to the imagination about what this announcement could be. Images have been surfacing from multiple sites who had received images displaying Valve characters in very "Apple like" commercials. I have attached some of the images for your viewing pleasure. A very cool 1984 throwback featuring Alyx from Half-life 2 (via Macworld) Gordon freeman rocking the Apple look (via Macrumors) Check out the rest from MacNN, Rock, Paper, Shotgun and Eurogamer The folks over at the Steam community forums have been data mining the latest client software Beta release and have stumbled upon graphic images for Mac buttons, an osx.
