The Secret World Is Getting Optioned For Its Own TV Series

Secret World It looks like The Secret World is finally going to be a TV series as a show based on The Secret World and its rebranding has been announced It only took about a decade but it looks like what I was hoping for with The Secret World is finally happening as it is being picked up for its very own TV series. That's right, the dark and horror filled MMO from Funcom is finally getting expanded into a series that will delve deeper into the world and secrets hidden within it. Not that the game or its rebranding of Secret World Legends doesn't do a great job of it already, but it will be fun to see a bit more of it all expanded upon and from others points of view. Funcom did recently have a showcasing of the character creation system and a bit of actual game play, but it was for press only. The Blue Mountains Of The Secret World

With trailers like the one below for The Secret World it makes it harder to remember that this is a new MMO and not a new Survival Horror game. Here we are getting a look at an area of the game called Blue Mountain and it feels just like another Silent Hill. Creepy mountains, mines, a slew of twisted creatures roaming the streets and crazy history dating back longer than anyone would care to remember. Sounds close, but obviously it is its own "place" within The Secret World. It's Templar Week In The Secret World

Yea, I'll admit that sounds a lot like Shark Week on the Discovery channel, but damn it, Funcom wants to get some more info about The Secret World out to all of you. I Almost Forgot The Secret World Is A MMO...

If it wasn't for the fact that I get reminded it is a MMO in every press release, I would swear that The Secret World was not going to be one. With each new screen and video that is ever so slowly hitting the web or my inbox I get a sense of confusion at first. So far the game doesn't look like a standard MMO. But as we all know, looks can be very deceiving, which is the case again with the following images and videos. Storytelling Time In The Secret World

In The Secret World, The Templars Are From London

Holy hells! We haven't seen anything new about The Secret World since the end of March. Like the whole team over at Funcom was ushered into the basement bunker owned by the Men in Black for trying to show the world what is truly going on. I was a bit afraid that was the case too. I am overly excited to see if they are going to be able to make up for Age of Conan. While there is still no release time frame anywhere in sight, there is a new video showcasing part of the creation process of The Secret World - at least in the form of one of the factions in the game. You will be surprised that the Templars are also nothing akin to the real world or the Assassin's Creed version of the society. Read More...

The Secret World's Monster Blog

God I love viral marketing. Especially the kind of viral marketing that draws you in deeper and deeper to find out very little about what is being advertised. Or at least when the details are so cryptic you don't get much out of it, but still want more. Something that Funcom has been doing for almost a year now with The Secret World. Just "dug up" on the great internets is a blog that shows it has been running since November of last year. A Different Look At Kingsmouth From The Secret World

Looking at the below new assets for Funcom's upcoming MMO The Secret World, the excitement is back after the very lack-luster gameplay video they threw out there to entice us all. I still attest that it was pretty bad for the first real video for the game. But in any instance, like I said, the new screen shots totally make up for it. While it is hard to tell if these are stylized in-game shots or just concepts done up in an art department, they are still great pieces of eye candy. Although, like Alan Wake the jeep crash looks a bit too Silent Hill it still is intriguing. Read More...
