by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 20th of June 2011 - 04:37 PM ]
David, Corey and Brian are back at it to talk about this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. First, they wrap up what they've been playing outside of the show floor - including Dungeon Siege III, Dungeons And Dragons: Daggerdale, Alice: The Madness Returns, Duke Nukem Forever, Final Fantasy III, 4 Elements and of course, Brian's update on how many hours he's put into Persona 4. Our Care/Don't Care segment goes commando with an all-E3 focus, which is also our main topic.  I will say that our talk went on a bit with the sheer number of topics that presented themselves from E3. by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 10th of May 2011 - 08:32 PM ]
The Aggrocast is back in a big way with Brian, Corey and David discussing the recent doings (or undoings) of the PlayStation Network - where they went wrong and David's soon-to-be copyrighted idea to fix it. Nintendo's next console also makes an appearance, as well as two new segments - Community Spotlight and Care/Don't Care. No podcast would be complete without a Whatcha Been Playing where the guys talk Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Magicka, Dragon Age 2, Civilization 5, Game Dev Story, EA Sports Active 2 and a few beta releases. We are back! Read More...

Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters, Potentially Good Or Flop?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of April 2011 - 06:27 PM ]
Recently I had a conversation with a few people on movie tie-in games and if they could ever be any good. As was to be expected, the conclusion was generally not likely. There have been so many crappy movie tie-in games put out there, most of which to suck more money out of the consumer. But every now and then there are a few that are not just utter crap. For me, they are usually the games that are not rushed to meet a film's release date and TRULY expand on the overall story of the film. To put it short so I can move onto the Green Lantern stuff, I've only really enjoyed the games for the Saw franchise. Read More...

The E.Nigmas Of Batman: Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2011 - 06:38 PM ]
In Batman: Arkham Asylum the Riddler had kind of a small role, even though it was one of the larger side missions in the game. It makes sense when you think about the fact that he didn't physically show up at all in the game. This looks like something that Rocksteady is going to be changing when it comes to Arkham City. At least from the new screens shown below. It is also explained that there will be more than just item collecting missions set forth by the Riddler this time. Read More...

Gods The Secret World Is Looking Better And Better
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2011 - 04:38 PM ]
I swear there is always such a HUGE lull of info or visuals for The Secret World each time there is something new. I guess at least when there are new details or even a teaser video it still manages to get me excited again for the upcoming MMO from Funcom. The below trailer that was shown at GDC is no exception to the rule here either. Here we have a developer's diary of sorts with a mix of game play. A lot of the information is really nothing new. Batman Catches The Armed Man In Arkham City, Also A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of March 2011 - 07:37 PM ]
You know that bastard that gets blamed for everything. That damned one armed man. Well he is running around Arkham City and Batman has him in his sites. Who would have thought that he was actually one of the Joker's clown makeup wearing lieutenants, let alone actually exist? The target of our blame is finally being brought down; although I am sure he will respawn later. Pushing my piss-poor humor aside now, as I am sure a lot of you don't truly get it, there is a little more info to go along with the below screen shots. A release date and one interesting tidbit that was weaseled out by the European PS Blog guys. Read More...

At GDC last week Curt Schilling took the stage and showed off one of the most buzzed about games from 38 Studios and EA, Kingdom of Amlur: Reckoning. The last time we heard about any production with this game was in July of last year when they announced it and we didn't get much then. Well today we got some goodies for you guys in the form of in game screen shots. Although not much was spoken of at GDC, these images will make any gamers sweat with anticipation. Schilling leads the project with Todd McFarlane, R. Read More...

Shadows Of The Damned Prove Women Are Crazy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of March 2011 - 06:43 PM ]
Ok, well it is not just women. It really is all humans but from what is being shown in this new trailer for Shadows Of The Damned that came out at GDC from Grasshopper Manufacture. Granted the trailer is just a bit of story for the game and not a commentary on their feelings toward the fairer gender. Although I do like to read more into things than most people would really want. It's something I'm good at. Read More...

Yea, you ready that right. The game is still a bit off and there is already DLC planned for L.A. Noire. Modern Warfare 3 May Have Been A Hoax, But Battlefield 3 Is Not
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of March 2011 - 06:36 PM ]
So while the Modern Warfare 3 counter was technically a hoax, the rumors that EA was going to bring something to GDC for the announced Battlefield 3 were not. In fact EA brought with them a little bit of game play for all of the FPS fans out there to gush over and whine about how long the wait for the game is going to be. If you just got offended by that, odds are you just thought how long the wait is going to be. Don't lie. Read More...

by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 2nd of March 2011 - 10:18 PM ]
Big announcements are happening at GDC every day but Nintendo surprised everyone when it announced a new collaboration with AT&T and its soon to be released Nintendo 3DS. During his keynote speech at GDC this morning, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata's informed everyone: "There is great potential to increase the number of people who enjoy video games by opening up new game-play opportunities that are only available through the use of 3D,” Iwata said. “Nintendo 3DS will be the most connected Nintendo device ever, with its ability to link people via local wireless connections, while at the same time connecting them to people and content worldwide via hotspot connectivity." With the launch of Nintendo's 3DS less than a month away (March 27th), it looks like Nintendo is going to attempt and reclaim the mobile gaming market. Read More...

Who Wouldn't Want Some New Portal 2 Screens?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of March 2011 - 07:02 PM ]
Am I right or am I right? With April seeming so far off, at least for me, I know I will take every little bit I can get for Portal 2 as it comes out. Even though they don't show all that much for the game that we haven't already been able to extrapolate. I mean this just shows some of the "tests" left for Chell to get through and nothing all that much more. I am digging the shot of Chell running from some kind of bot, doesn't look totally like GLaDOS to me, and the interesting concept of what looks like an underground water cooling system. I've heard that it is a hint at something for a new Half Life, but that is just speculation last I searched. Read More...

Hey Serious Sam fans! It looks like your wait is over for the third installment of the game. Serious Sam 3 has just been announced with a few screen shots of the game mixed in with the announcement.
