Assassin's Creed Unity Is Playing With Time Travel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new Assassin's Creed Unity trailer has been released and it shows off what Ubisoft is calling 'time anomalies.' No, the above image isn't some new skin for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare or something alike. It is from the most recent Assassin's Creed Unity trailer that you can see just a bit lower on the page. It looks like Ubisoft has decided to show off how their new 'time anomaly' system is going to shake up Assassin's Creed Unity when we actually get our hands on it. The only thing is this new feature looks to add quite a bit of time travel into the mix… Of course this has been no big deal in titles of the past. Read More...

There Are So Many Game Modes In Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of October 2014 - 07:01 PM ]
Ubisoft gives us a breakdown of the different gameplay modes for Assassin's Creed Unity outside of the standard story missions It is no big surprise that Assassin's Creed Unity is going to have a whole lot going on in the open world of the game. Ubisoft generally makes sure that there is so much going on in any Assassin's Creed title that you will be spending hours doing everything else besides playing the main narrative. Assassin's Creed Unity has already added in the multiplayer mission aspect and now we have a look at the other ordeals, trials, challenges, and fun we will be having on our PS4s, Xbox Ones, or PCs on November 11th. I know that throwing in a whole bunch of collectibles and mini-missions is a way to make Assassin's Creed Unity or any game feel like it is a lot longer than it actually is. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of October 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Now that was one hectic week for video games. Not only did we get a whole bunch of new information and looks at some great titles coming up, like Assassin's Creed Unity, but we also had a nice look at something that stirred the pot in controversy. That would be for Hatred and the graphic nature of the title. All kinds of madness mixed into the already messed up world the industry is in right now but we have to keep chugging along don't we? A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games That was another fun week in catching all the news for the video games industry was it not? I know I have a good time each we trying to cover everything that we can on the site. Even though we are in the mix of major title releases we still were able to cover more than just that. Story Time — Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The story trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released from Ubisoft so we can better grasp the character of Arno With all the focus on the multiplayer side of Assassin's Creed Unity it was easy to forget that there is an overarching story for the game. What kind of Assassin's Creed game would it be if Ubisoft didn't expand on the modern world story as well as the story as to why Arno is murdering across the French Revolution? If it didn't I think it would be the end of the franchise that has kept the developer and publisher burning money to light their cigars or whatever other inane rich person stereotype we can tag on to them. Like it or not, Assassin's Creed Unity is going to make them a lot of money. Read More...

Customization Is What We Have Wanted In Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2014 - 05:04 PM ]
A new video for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released and it shows off quite a bit of the customization and skills we will have when it comes to Arno Apparently co-op and customization is what we all have been wanting when it comes to Assassin's Creed Unity. That is at least what Ubisoft is focusing on in the latest "walk-through" video that has been released for ACU. I could have sworn that we all wanted a great core game with an amazing story that was started in Assassin's Creed with cool features that show off the era that the game is taking place in. Maybe I am out of touch with the core gamers who play nothing but Assassin's Creed titles and are the ones that are the driving force for Assassin's Creed Unity being made? Read More...

We've Boosted Some New Assassin's Creed Unity Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity showing off the Heist Co-op mode Before when I made comments on Assassin's Creed Unity looking more Thief-like by the day, I was just goofing around. With the latest gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like I am more and more on par; the most recent video of course covering the new Heist Co-op play mode for the game. This makes it so you no longer need to be assassin's but are rewarded on how much better a thief you are than a killer. The bigger difference is that in Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like Ubisoft nailed the gameplay mechanics that were lacking in other's titles… Unlike the game that will no longer be mentioned, Assassin's Creed Unity's heist mode will pit players to traverse areas to attempt to steal some item from said area. It Looks Like Assassin's Creed Unity Is Becoming More Thief-like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released from Gamescom and it looks like there is more stealth action included Earlier today we had a look at Assassin's Creed Rouge's naval gameplay now we have a look at Assassin's Creed Unity and its new features to the franchise. In this case it looks like there are more and more features that are turning Assassin's Creed Unity into what looks like a Thief mod for the franchise. At least since there are new stealth modes, the need to pick pockets, and also pick locks. All things that make sense for Assassin's Creed Unity but just feel like more mechanics added just to be added. Read More...

Rob Zombie's French Revolution Is The Best Telling Of Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Here is Rob Zombie's French Revolution based on the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity from Ubisoft Just before SDCC we caught wind that Rob Zombie was going to do an animated film based on Assassin's Creed Unity and the French Revolution that take place in the game. I was a bit ecstatic but also a bit concerned given the fact that a lot of what I love about Rob Zombie's work in the past is something that I would think Ubisoft would be a bit hesitant to embrace. Especially when he gets teamed up with The Walking Dead's co-creator (Tony Moore) to illustrate what he does best; horrid gore and blood. Sounds like an amazing team up to me but like I said I was worried they would get hamstringed. Read More...

SDCC Experience: Assassin's Creed Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
I was able to unleash my inner assassin during Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC 2014 We spoke about the Assassin's Creed Experience a few times before it was unleashed at SDCC last week. This would be the huge parkour course that they set up outside of Comic Con to allow fans of the franchise to see if they could handle the same stuff that Arno may need to do in Assassin's Creed Unity. It was gimmicky but it was also a blast to be able to run through. This isn't the first time that Ubisoft has brought something Assassin's Creed themed to Comic Con but it definitely was the most interactive. Read More...
