The Most Evil Creatures Ever To Kill Anything Cute...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of May 2009 - 04:07 PM ]
New Overlord II Screenshots and Trailer We know that clubbing baby seals is just bad. They go out in their shiny shirts and order $12 drinks that get something slipped into them so they can be drug home and had unmentionable things done to them. Oh, wait, what? Not that type of clubbing baby seals? Oh, well thanks Codemasters for clearing this up. Your kind make it look a lot more fun. Read More…

Hunter, Survivor, Prey, Which Will You Be?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of May 2009 - 04:18 PM ]
Aliens Vs Predator - Videogame Teaser Trailer What a great tag line for a game that looks absolutely amazing, well from the few screens and short teaser that Sega has just posted up on their blog and YouTube account. But even with it all being just a small glimpse at this game, it looks like it will be even better than the films of the same title. From the looks, it is all in game graphics and effects, although it wouldn't be the first time a game company has pulled the wool over our eyes. Also it could just be my down right glee at seeing that makes me want to believe that. Read More…

Mo' Money, Mo' Blizzard
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 18th of May 2009 - 03:27 PM ]
So yesterday (5/16/09) was the big day for those who want to spend time in the World...of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Tickets for Blizzcon went on sale yesterday and it looks like the economy has no affect, as tickets for Blizzcon sold out in 30 minutes. Apparently there is something that will get people out of the house and do something. Fortunately for us that would be Blizzcon 2009. For those who missed their chance to get into the action for the tickets, I would not worry. Read More…

Final PSP?
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 15th of May 2009 - 10:12 AM ]
All those rumors about the PSP Go, all those rumors about a UMD-free PSP, and all those rumors about Sony announcing a new PSP at E3. Well it seems Sony is not finished with the current version of the PSP, as they are going to release a new bundle PSP with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. If you do not know by now, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is not another Final Fantasy RPG, but rather a Final Fantasy fighting game (no it is not another Ehrgeiz) and will include the main characters from all of the Final Fantasy titles in this game. Packaged in the bundle, you will get a “Mystic Silver” PSP-3000 system, Dissidia: Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children UMD, and a 2GB Memory Stick Duo. I know most of you will hate this part, but this bundle will only be a Gamestop exclusive. Read More…

The Fighting Styles of UFC 2009: Undisputed
by Jesse [ Thursday, 14th of May 2009 - 10:08 PM ]
Earlier in the week I explored the three striking fighting styles in UFC 2009: Undisputed and whether you choose Boxing, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai, each has their own strengths and weaknesses. But standing on the feet is only one half of Undisputed. Every fighter on the roster and every fighter you create will also be able to make use of one of the three grappling fighting styles along with one of the three striking styles. For those thinking of taking the fight to the ground though, understand that there are more ways to win a match than on your feet. When striking it’s always about the knockout. Read More…

Playstation 3 2.76 Software Update = Live
by Ben Brody [ Thursday, 14th of May 2009 - 06:41 AM ]
So the inFamous compatibility 2.76 update for the PS3 "improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software. and you will no longer have to restart a game to display trophies after a hard drive upgrade or if you restore from the backup" (like we do that SO much). The software update is most likely aimed at issues that arose during the testing of inFamous, the new game coming from Sucker Punch. GO DOWNLOAD IT NOW WOOOT! *missing from the update is the ability to do cross-game invitations, cross-game microphone chatting, or anything that makes playing a game as easy as XBOX Live. Ghostly Multiplayer Madness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 11:04 PM ]
Ghostbusters Game Trailer It makes total sense for this game to have a multiplayer aspect to it. Albeit, limited to four people multiplayer, but multiplayer none the less. What fun would it be if you could only have one of the Busters active by a player at a time? Especially with the others possibly being run by an AI that could be poor. Don't need another Sheva incident, if you know what I mean. The below video shows off all the fun madness of the multiplayer, as well as some of the new weapons and enemies for the Ghostbusters world. Read More…

Live The Life Of An Elite Agent
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 09:29 PM ]
New-ish Facts About SOE's The Agency Do you remember a while back, like last year when The Agency was suppose to come out to market? All there was for the game was a short video clip showing off some of the antics and very little game play for Sony's new MMO. Then things just kind of went dead as far as anything new coming out about the game. Well other than the fact that it kept getting pushed back and no solid release window in sight. I'm guessing that all rings a bell now. Read More…

Katamari Forever
by Jesse [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 08:31 PM ]
This fall is going to bring plenty of games worth checking out, but if there’s one title that deserves a little bit of the spotlight it’s Katamari Forever. As a PS3 exclusive, Katamari Forever is the latest in the popular, but often underrated, Katamari Damacy series. Once again the cosmos are in danger as the King of All Cosmos has fallen into a coma. In his absence the very stars begin to disappear from the night sky. Our only chance is the Prince and his impeccable Katamari rolling abilities. Read More…

TF2's Sniper Update: Something You Can Get Stuck On
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 10:39 AM ]
With the next batch of achievements and weapon unlocks announced and mentioned difficulty in deciding on an alternate weapon for the sniper rifle, it looks as if our good friends at Valve have managed to come up with an idea and now the Sniper Update is upon us.  Called the "Huntsman" it is a bow-and-arrow for a slightly more in-your-face approach to playing this class. A sniper worth his weight with this weapon could lead a charge into the enemy base.  Provided with invulnerability, the skilled bowman could pin everyone to the walls waltzing into the intelligence room as his enemies wait to be freed or killed. The Fighting Styles of UFC 2009: Undisputed
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 12th of May 2009 - 05:51 PM ]
We’re a week away from the release of UFC 2009: Undisputed and even though it’s early, there are plenty of reasons for MMA fans to be excited. Perhaps the biggest draw is the depth of the game engine which seems to accurately recreate nearly every aspect of a mixed martial arts bout. As a result, this presents a very unique and fun challenge which is trying to decide what fighting style is going to work the best and be the most effective for you. Whether you’re using 1 of the more than 60 UFC fighters in the game or choosing to take your own created warrior into the cage, deciding the best technique for your style of play can be the difference between seeing your hand raised in victory or having your teeth shoved down your throat. Today is all about standing in the pocket and going toe-to-toe with another fighter. Read More…
