by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 12th of May 2009 - 11:08 AM ]
EPISODE 27: Michael, Brian and Binh are back with the brand new Aggrocast Hello faithful readers and listeners. As many may know, when we launched Aggrogamer.com, we brought the Pwned.com Podcast, Total Meltdown, over with us. We changed the name of it to the more suitable title of Aggrocast. We retain the same cast of Michael (G-Nitro), Brian (Quiglin), and Binh (Church). We also kept the same format but moved around a bit to settle in properly with the site, and we also made sure the same craziness, humor and entertainment is still there. With that, we hope you enjoy the new Aggrocast, as we really enjoyed being back on the podcast scene after a few weeks off. Read More…

Crime Will P4y
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of May 2009 - 06:02 PM ]
Thief 4 Officially Announced This little tid bit of news comes in two fun flavors. One fore gamers and the other for those in the industry looking for a job. It was teased and rumored no more than a week ago that Eidos-Montréal was going to be bringing us all another round of sneaking around with the much anticipated Thief 4. So far as that many outlets were trying hard to find anything that would give this away before any kind of meeting at E3. One of such ways that things have been leaked has been though other game companies posting jobs on their boards only to specify a title or aspect of a title they originally didn't want to. Do You Smell What Marcus Fenix Is Cooking
by Binh Nguyen [ Sunday, 10th of May 2009 - 01:25 PM ]
If you haven’t heard by now there is another video game movie in the works. And this time it’s for Gears of War (chainsaw FTW). Chris Morgan, who has written such movies as Fast and Furious and Wanted, just wrapped up the script for the upcoming movie and now they are looking for a cast. He is looking for his main actor to play Marcus Fenix, and while others are thinking of actors like Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, or maybe Chuck Norris. That is not the case for Chris, as he is actually thinking about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to play Marcus Fenix. Chris Morgan told MTV, “The Rock is awesome. Read More…

Street Fighter IV PC gets a free bonus!
by Ben Brody [ Sunday, 10th of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Or so Capcom thinks. Either way, anybody that picks up SFIV for the PC will get a MadCatz Fightpad for free. The game is priced a bit higher than most PC games at $59.99 but a $39.99 game plus a $39.99 fightpad is good enough for me. Gamers may wonder why MadCatz is so busy making PC fightpads when there is a shortage of console ones, but the fact is is that nobody wants to play Street Fighter with a mouse and keyboard (awaits barrage of ppl yelling at me that they play it on an emulator with a keyboard all the time).Capcom will release Street Fighter IV (Games for Windows Live for those that don't know) on July 7th here in the States. Hell, It is about time!
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 8th of May 2009 - 07:29 AM ]
Am I reading this right? Beta testing for Starcraft 2? I say, “Hell, It’s about time!”. You know what that means right? That means I (if I even get the beta key) get to test out a game that I have waited over 10 years for. Blizzard president Mike Morhaime confirmed today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) by saying “This summer we will be opening up external beta testing, and while we haven’t announced a release date yet, this phase will also signal the final stretch [of development on the game]” I bet you are wondering how you can sign up for the beta. Well fear not lurkers, it’s really simple. Go to Battle. Read More…

by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 7th of May 2009 - 03:45 PM ]
More Peripherals!!!!  Yay!  I know that is what you're thinking as today Activision announced their fall releases of "Hero" franchises. Attempting to break into the hip-hop and R&B markets, they will be releasing DJ Hero, coming to you with special turntable peripheral.  No longer content with sticking to plastic instruments, they are moving into plastic electronics.  Couch Potato Hero will of course have plastic TV and remote as you sit on your couch playing a person sitting on a couch.  All kidding aside I really hope to see this at E3 in a few weeks and take it for a spin*. by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 7th of May 2009 - 03:26 PM ]
FTW! Last month World of Warcraft made an announcement that they would be bringing us two new Gamer Fuel flavors of Mountain Dew.  Alliance Blue and Horde Red.  The official Warcraft site has been posting little about it but no real definite dates. Currently there is a website here with a timer quickly counting down.  The mystery is that it says you can start winning tokens and you can enter a chance to win every 15 minutes. At the bottom of the page is your typical "enter e-mail address here" bar. Read More…
