You know, this Eric Ruth guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. Not being content with creating a Left 4 Dead drenched in 8-bit nostalgia, this guy took it upon himself to recreate Mega Man 9 in High Definition. To accomplish this, he had to redo every element of the game, from enemy art to music. So essentially what he has done thus far is take a really high profile current title and give it the retro treatment. Now he has taken what is essentially a retro title - outfit it in high profile-y type goodness - and condensed it into a finely tuned package of incredibly awesome.
