Get Ready To Interact With Afterlife This May
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
The interactive VR film Afterlife is heading out there in May and we have another new sample of what will be happening in Afterlife’s story A little while back we heard of a new interactive VR film called Afterlife and it piqued our interests even though it did not sound like a game at first. It, more or less, sounded like another film being placed out there in the VR realm from Signal Space Lab and that we would sit as a passive observer to a very grim and dark story. Something that is definitely right in the middle of my tastes even if it did not sound like a true game. Read More…

Mortal Kombat 11 Has Three More Characters To Show For The Roster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
More characters for Mortal Kombat 11 are shown off with one of them being a new character to the Mortal Kombat franchise in general As we loom ever closer to the release of Mortal Kombat 11, we have even more characters getting the announcement and showcasing. Most of which had been leaked out there by some people who do not know how to keep secrets and others are placed out there by NetherRealm Studios as no matter the leak no one can explain them besides the studio. One of those characters we had at the end of last week as we had The Kollector announced for Mortal Kombat 11 and shown off to the world during their normal weekly streams. Even though we saw the name, there was no true way to know what would be coming until now. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 4/1/19 — 4/5/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of April 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just when you think that things may have slowed down for all of our video games, we are surprised and see a whole lot more out there. This seems like something we say almost every week, but it is worth it as there was a whole lot to unpack. More surprising is the fact that we did not have to wade through much for April Fool's Day even though the RAGE 2 DLC sounds like it. Thankfully, we had much more for Layers Of Fear 2, Man Of Medan, and World War Z to look at to keep us focused on real video games and nothing false floated out there. Read More…

It has been a hot minute since we have seen anything from Layopi Games for this one, but now we have it. A nice nineteen-minute demo that was out there at the event for all to take in. At least if you had a chance to swing by and see Devil’s Hunt in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the event and all of the other announcements that were popping off out there. Read More…

It is close to the end of June, but it is still June and fans of Samurai Shodown should be glad for all of that. Read More…

World War Z Breaks Down More Of The Gameplay Barriers For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay breakdown for World War Z is here to show off some more of World War Z and how we will survive the multiple locations we will go to In eleven days from now, we will be entering a new world of World War Z on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Some of us are extremely excited for this and others are still questioning just what Saber Interactive will be bringing with this new zombie game. Others in the same vein have failed recently so there is a lot of pressure on World War Z to do well and keep out attention for the genre and creatures. Some of us have hit a breaking point for it all while others are still embracing. Read More…

The latest DLC for We Happy Few is out there now and you can get a small taste of it before shelling out a bit more for We Happy Few here There is new DLC out there to play for We Happy Few as you are reading this. Not a huge surprise for those who picked up the Season Pass for the game, but there could be some of the more casual players of the game out there that did not know this was coming. I am sure that Compulsion Games would want them to know so they can fully experience their work. That is why we are back here today with the latest update for We Happy Few. Read More…

You May Feel A Bit Less At Ease With The Dark Pictures — Man Of Medan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
The next dev diary for The Dark Pictures — Man Of Medan is here to give us a look at the lighting and other key elements of Man Of Medan to put us less at ease We get to dive a bit deeper into Man Of Medan with the latest developer diary that is now out there. At least for those who interested in seeing how this horror title is being put together and just what Supermassive Games will be using to freak us out. There are so many aspects to it all that can be used to build tension and fear and this time we get to see the lighting and camera work side of it all. It is interesting to know that many out there still do not get this and it is most likely why Man Of Medan will scare them more and more. Read More…

Have A New Lesson On The Gameplay Of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has started with the first going into the exploration of Ancestors’ map A new taste for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here in the way of a developer diary of sorts to take us on a bit more of the exploration in the game. Specifically that feature in the game as Panache Digital Games has opted to leave out the maps for us and require us to do it all on our own. Not the worst of ideas, but it will be a shift from what we know in open world games like Ancestors. Read More…

Layers Of Fear 2 Offers Up Some New Terrifying Experiences
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Layers Of Fear 2 offers up a new look at how we will be experiencing more than Layers Of Fear offered before It is no surprise that Layers Of Fear 2 was on the floor during PAX East and it was accessible by many to try. There was a panel for it so it would seem a bit odd for Bloober Team to not want to show it off to the fans and media that we out there. It is one of those titles that grab your attentions and hold it until you pass out from anxiety. Just as the previous Layers Of Fear did. Read More…

Borderlands 3 Has A Confirmed Release Date & Fun Special Editions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
The release date for Borderlands 3 is now confirmed for this September and we have many ways to pre-order Borderlands 3 right now It looks like the early tweet "leak" for Borderlands 3’s release date was correct and we will be getting the game on September 13th. Why this was not announced last week when the game was announced at PAX East makes no sense to me but I am sure that 2K or Gearbox had their reasons. Maybe not. Now we can look to see Borderlands 3 on that date for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games launcher. Read More…

New Gameplay And Name Is Here For The Upcoming Darkborn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Project Wight is now known as Darkborn and we have a whole lot of new gameplay to show off how Darkborn has evolved since we last saw it It looks like the old Project Wight is no more as it will now be known as Darkborn from henceforward. Not that The Outsiders has scrapped the former title, but that was just the working title before we have the current name of this interesting title set down to be able to know what game we are talking about. Not the biggest of news here unless you are overly excited for just something named Darkborn. I guess this is why we also have some new gameplay for the game to dive into and see how it has progressed. Read More…

Welcome Cetrion To The Roster For Mortal Kombat 11
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
A new elder god has entered Mortal Kombat and we have our first look along with other details for Mortal Kombat 11 just before launch Another new character is coming to Mortal Kombat 11, and we now get to see her in action. While it does feel like many of the characters NetherRealm Studios is bringing us here are from the older titles, we at least have a few new ones peppered in. That is what Cetrion seems to be doing here even if she is an elder god from the Mortal Kombat universe here to make things feel a little unfair. I could have sworn that they were supposed to all stay out of it. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
The next Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout map is here with Alcatraz forcing more close-quarters combat in this Call Of Duty title It is time to recreate The Rock in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 as the next map coming to the Blackout mode is here with Alcatraz. At least try to do it while fighting off all of the other issues going on with the Battle Royale gameplay that will be going on in the map. I am sure that Treyarch has you covered in a way to be able to do it if you can get all of the other players in on it all. Maybe not. Read More…
