The first trailer for Powers, the PSN TV adaption of the comic book, was shown at NYCC and we have it here for you Powers, the show, was announced at E3 during Sony's huge press event and it was received with mixed feelings from all. If you were lucky enough to be at NYCC over the weekend and were able to sit in on Sony's panel you may have been treated to seeing the first footage and trailer for the show. The Walking Dead Escape was back at SDCC giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like For the third year running (pun intended) I was able to experience The Walking Dead Escape at SDCC. I broke down what it was all about before but I'll give the quick version just in case you are lazy. In a nut shell it is a real world survival horror event that tests if you could escape from one end of a location, Petco Park in this case, to the other without being swarmed by the undead horde. The Walking Dead Escape is coming back to San Diego Comic Con for a third year and is allowing us gamers to try to survive a zombie apocalypse game in real life If there has been one thing that has caught my love over the last few years at San Diego Comic Con it has to be The Walking Dead Escape. The horror game The Evil Within is getting a prequel comic from Titan Comics. The Evil Within isn't even out yet nor is it a large franchise yet and we are already getting a prequel comic book to go along with the game. It looks like Bethesda and Tango Gameworks are really behind this project to have green-lit this comic from Titan Comics. That would be the people behind the Doctor Who comics and the DmC comic. Here we are five titles into the franchise and we are now getting the ability to manipulate some of our favorite characters and worlds with Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. While personally I would have preferred a Marvel version, beggars can't be choosers when given the opportunity to rewrite, create, and travel to all of the famous locations in "nerd" history. As should be obvious, I had a chance to get down and dirty with Scribblenauts Unmasked on the PC and I am going to break it down for you to let you know if you should spend the time and money for the game. Just as last year, The Walking Dead Escape was back with a vengeance at Petco Park during the San Diego Comic Con. For the uninitiated this is an event where a good portion of the sports arena in San Diego was converted into an obstacle course in the theme of AMC's The Walking Dead. It really allows for people to really test their mettle and some of their survival skills to brag that they could survive the initial zombie outbreak. I was lucky enough to get to run the course again this year and what I found interesting was that most people I ran with compared the experience to most of the action zombie video games on the market today. Granted we were not allowed to attack the zombies in the run, but I would have to agree with the sentiment as there has been a push in the industry with Outlast and Dying Light this year. As it should come as no surprise, Lex Luthor has joined the roster for NetherRealm's upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us. Why would he not have been in the game with his Superman/Meta-human hate speech? It makes sense. But either way, with the below trailer he has been officially added to the "Gods Among Us." Well this was pretty much expected. Cat Woman has just been confirmed as a new playable character for Injustice: Gods Among Us and below is a video showcasing what she can do and take in the game. As is to be expected she is fast, agile and able to whip the other characters from DC universe into shape. That is if she is not trying to kill them with cheesy one-liners of the feline nature instead. He's been featured in a few games and has mostly been used for cameos, but now the 'merc with a mouth' is finally getting his own shot at video game stardom. Just in the nick of time, Spider-Man is back in another game for us to take on the many comic book villains who plague New York in Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. While not a direct sequel to last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, it does have at least two of the dimensions represented and makes reference to the "Other Guys" from the game. I am both a fan of X-men and comic books in general. I have many fond memories of playing the four-player, beat-em up style Konami arcade game back in the 80's and I have spent more than a few hours playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 with my buddies. Silicon Knights' newest title, X-Men: Destiny, should have been a no-brainer - backed by such a great concept as it boasted being the next great brawling action game where you could create the mutant you always believed should be in this universe. Unfortunately due to its execution, the game becomes really diluted, which knocks it down a few notches on the likeability scale. Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy.
