Since the days of the original PlayStation, the holy trinity of Sony exclusive developers, Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and Sucker Punch have always worked hard to produce amazing, wholly original content for the various Sony consoles. Today it was first revealed by Game Informer that Naughty Dog, creators of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter are working on a follow-up to their hugely popular PS3 title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The sequel titled Uncharted 2: Among Thieves follows Nathan Drake on an adventure involving the voyages of 13th century explorer Marco Polo. Over in Japan, a super rare Famicom (NES) title has sold at auction for over ¥401,010, which converts to roughly $4,250. The title of said game is Kikenbutsu no Yasashii Butsuri to Kagaku, or “The Tender Physics & Science of Explosive Materials”. Turns out Harmonix is giving us Nine new songs before the week is out. There are various singles from various bands (Unfortunatly Two are from the Nickelodeon band The Naked Brothers). These songs apparentley cast a wide net over different ages, genres, language, demographic and pricing structure. Along with the obligatory "paid for" tracks from aritsts like Children of Bodom, Finley,Platero y Tu, Squeeze, Tokio Hotel and the All-American Rejects there is a free track from Miranda Cosgrove called "Headphones On". Gamestop is getting ready to launch a nationwide for Call of Duty: World at War. The tournament starts this Friday, featuring one-on-one, single elimination style rounds. It also marks the first Bond game released on 7th generation consoles (it is also released on 6th gen too). Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Mads Mikklesen, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, and Judi Dench all lend their voice and likeness to the game, which does give make it seem like you indeed are playing the movie, however, this time, that's a bad thing.Quantum of Solace doesn't fail so much due to the fact that it's not a great game to play, it fails in the regard that it's based on a movie, which while containing some over-the-top action, was largely a drama-love story that couldn't hold a candle to the action found in Goldeneye, From Russia With Love, Everything or Nothing, or even Nightfire. To the disappointment of many Suzumiya Haruhi fans, Kadokawa has announced that Haruhi No Gekidou has been delayed until January 22nd 2009. This was pushed back from it's original release date of November 28th 2008.  Haruhi No Gekidou is based off the extremely popular anime, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi from Bandai Ent. For thos who don't know, while it's still known as the Haruhi Dance game, it was previously announced that the dancing aspect has most likely been cancelled. Both Darth Vader and Yoda who were originally released as “console exclusive characters” have been made available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
