Overwatch The Overwatch closed beta has now been dated and the process that players will be able to help shape Overwatch has been detailed out a bit more We've seen all the heroes and villains of Overwatch in action and now it is time to play them and help tweak them with the announced beta for the game. Looks like the rumors from March are now true as PlayStation is allowing members to sign up to beta test new firmware for the PS4 Way back in March of this year rumors started springing up that PlayStation users would be getting a firmware beta program for the PS4. Nothing was concrete and set in stone back then as this was all based on a few emails and screen shots that could have been faked. Well it turns out they were not faked as right now PS4 owners who want to give new firmware a try can sign up to beta test on their systems. If you've pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 then you'll be glad to see that the multiplayer beta goes live next week for those PS4 owners If you've pre-order Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 already then you most likely know that the multiplayer "beta" is about to go live soon. At least it will be going live soon for the PS4 version of the game as that kicks off on August 19th as Sony obviously paid more to Activision this year to get Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 all the early stuff instead. New leaked screenshots and emails claim that PlayStation may be starting up a firmware beta program for the PS4 on the 2.50 update It looks like, if rumors are true, that MVP PlayStation 4 owners may be getting a firmware beta testing program. I state rumors as this information is all based on a few emails and screenshots that have been spread online showing off that this is fact and a few things that may be included in the next PS4 firmware release. Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley quietly announced that the PlanetSide 2 beta could be live early in January 2015 Good news for those hoping for the PlanetSide 2 PS4 beta to be coming sooner than later. It looks like everything is on track for said beta to go live here in a few weeks. Right around the same time that the H1Z1 will be coming to Steam for early access. According to an interview with Todd Harris the COO of Hi-Rez Studios has announced a closed beta for Tribes: Ascend will begin November 4th! The confirmation came during an interview with Cyberlink. I got my hands-on with Tribes: Ascend at this year's Quakecon: 2011 and it is as close to the original that any game could get. Large 16 multiplayer maps, armor and weapon load outs and a disc-launcher that would make any FPS proud. The biggest hook is that this is team based combat and it really shows on these large maps.
