PlayStation Is Giving PS4 Owners The Chance To Beta Firmware
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Looks like the rumors from March are now true as PlayStation is allowing members to sign up to beta test new firmware for the PS4 Way back in March of this year rumors started springing up that PlayStation users would be getting a firmware beta program for the PS4. Nothing was concrete and set in stone back then as this was all based on a few emails and screen shots that could have been faked. Well it turns out they were not faked as right now PS4 owners who want to give new firmware a try can sign up to beta test on their systems. Because this is apparently a thing that PS4 owners have wanted so their Xbox One buddies would stop having something to gloat about. Read More...

Is PlayStation Starting A Firmware Beta Program On The PS4?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2015 - 10:01 PM ]
New leaked screenshots and emails claim that PlayStation may be starting up a firmware beta program for the PS4 on the 2.50 update It looks like, if rumors are true, that MVP PlayStation 4 owners may be getting a firmware beta testing program. I state rumors as this information is all based on a few emails and screenshots that have been spread online showing off that this is fact and a few things that may be included in the next PS4 firmware release. This would be the 2.50 version and not some small "stability" update as these images and everything detail a few new features we may be getting on the PS4 in the near future. Read More...

by Julia Schoebel [ Wednesday, 2nd of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new user survey for the PlayStation 4 has been sent to users and speculation begins on what some of the questions mean for the console. The first part of this is not a rumor but boy has it started the internet a buzz with other rumors and speculation. I am talking about a recent user survey sent out to some PlayStation 4 users out there. That is not the rumor. Nor is it rumor that some of the questions asked allude to a PSN reputation system and the ability to alter or change you PSN ID. Read More...

The PlayStation 4 Red Line Issue And A Possible Fix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of November 2013 - 10:49 PM ]
The PlayStation 4 Has Had Reports Of An Overheating Issue Leading To The 'Red Line Of Death'. Here Is A Possible Fix For You So the PlayStation 4 has only been officially out in North America for a few days. I, like many other excited gamers, spent many hours tooling around in the system, playing games, and watching videos. Fortunately for myself I have yet to run into any of the issues that seem to have been reported all over the internet the last few days. The bricking 'Blue Pulse Of Death' and the 'Red Line Of Death' seem to be the most common in the mix. Read More...

Because That's How PlayStation 4 / Xbox One People Are
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of November 2013 - 07:02 PM ]
The Latest South Park Episode Wraps Up The Ludicrous Thoughts On The PS4 Vs. Xbox One Console War…In My Opinion A few years ago, around the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there was a huge controversy over an acronym that was being used as a promotional piece for the game. Fight Against Grenade Spam was the tag for those that don't remember. They caught a lot of flak for it from the media and at about the same time the brains over at South Park Studios put out an episode, The F Word, which summed up my feelings on the matter. As we move into the new consoles coming out here in a matter of days, one for the PlayStation 4 and eight for the Xbox One in NA, I have been seeing more and more on this gens 'Console War'. PlayStation 4 Is Getting Real Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of October 2013 - 09:52 PM ]
The PlayStation 4 is even closer to launch now, it's creeping up so fast, and there are already talks about a day one update for the firmware. Not too concerning there as I am sure all of the systems that are being shipped out have been packaged up for a little bit now and the software should be an ever-evolving beast. That's not the main topic here. The main topic is that with the launch coming up one of the 'new' features that we will be allowed to use with the PSN on the PlayStation 4 is the ability to display our real names instead of our gamer handle. Here's What We Will Be Playing Day One For The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of August 2013 - 06:55 PM ]
Just as Microsoft did yesterday, it looks like we have a pretty well rounded list of titles coming Day One-ish for the PS4 when it finally hits homes on November 15th. At first glance it looks like it is a bit longer, 10 more titles to be exact, but there are a few titles there that we've already had our hands on for a while now. Granted, it would be nice to have them all be original titles, but that is just the dream. By no means does this mean that I am not excited for the launch of the new console, but the numbers do seem a bit padded in regards to what will be available from launch. Read More...

PS4 Vs. Xbox One UPDATE
by Greg Tatterfield [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2013 - 11:51 PM ]
Microsoft has just released an update for the Xbox One on their official site. After the fan outcry about Microsoft’s aggressive DRM policies it seems like they have turned over a new leaf. To update my previous article PS4 Vs. Xbox One, here is what is changing with the Xbox One. Always on line no more Microsoft has confirmed that you will not be required to be online to play single player games. After you complete a onetime set up after the un-boxing you will never have to connect with the Xbox servers again just as with the Xbox 360. There is no 24-hour check in required to play your games. It's Confirmed! I Can Play Most PS4 Games In The Bathroom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of May 2013 - 11:09 PM ]
So after the big PlayStation 4 announcement it isn't really big news that there will be remote play functionality between the PS4 and the PS Vita. Hells, they showed that working on stage. You can see that down below if you want a recap on things. What is the big news here then if it has already been defined this is a feature? Well it seems that according to developer sources of Digital Foundry's Vita Remote Play is mandatory for all PS4 titles. This was later confirmed by Shuhei Yoshida (President SCEW Studios) via twitter after a questions surfaced. Read More...

Now That We've Had Some Time, Let's Talk PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of February 2013 - 01:45 AM ]
It's been a bit of time since Sony held its huge press conference where the PS4 was officially announced. They let loose the proposed specs for the new machine as well as a quick look at the Dual Shock 4, new services, and a few games that will be coming this holiday season. With the announcements comes a bit of wonder and excitement, as I am sure Sony wants, but should we blindly follow along and get ready to drop upwards of $600 this November? I've had some time to reflect and let the initial excitement subside, so let me bring up a few things I took away and pondered on. If for some reason you missed it, as I did, you want to check what I'm talking about, or you just don't care for the words and just want to watch it again, the video is below. Read More...

Putting The PS4 Rumors To Rest
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 10th of June 2010 - 05:40 PM ]
So it has been an interesting past couple of days with the two video “leaked” from the YouTube channel “SCELabs.” They had people wondering in regards to if Sony is actually going to be announcing PlayStation 4 or if it was something for th 3D gaming patch. Well, it isn't for the PS4. Shocker huh? Al de Leon, Sony hardware PR representative said, “I can confirm that this video is not from SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment).” My Take: Well at least we know that the videos are a complete fake and we do not have to wonder any more.
