By no means does this mean that I am not excited for the launch of the new console, but the numbers do seem a bit padded in regards to what will be available from launch. I guess it is nice to see that there are at least more than six games, unlike the PS3 launch. I remember being left wanting so much after the initial excitement wore off because there was nothing to play on my new expensive BluRay player. It looks like here I won't be as much as long as I am ok with a bunch of digital games or titles I previously played or purchased for my PS3 just a bit earlier. Hopefully all of the other publishers will follow Activision's example and make it a $10 purchase to get their game on PS4 as well as PS3, or at least a suitable percentage of the price. It's what is happening with Ghosts after all and hopefully the same with the Ubisoft titles.
Here is the full list for you now. At least it won't be much of a wait from then to get some of the bigger and newer titles.
