It's The Time Old Fight Of PC Vs Console For Video Games
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 24th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Video Games It's that time-old question of which is better for video games. Let's pro & con their ability to run our video games My original plan for this article was a thorough explanation of pros and cons of our preferred video games platforms. I could never finish it though because at the end of the day gaming is a lot of things but it should be fun first and foremost. Some people like mouse and keyboard over a controller. This doesn’t mean one is better than the other for video games, it just means some people have different tastes. Read More...

Project Scorpio The upcoming Project Scorpio has had its hardware specs revealed and it looks like Project Scorpio could be the next best console to enter the arena With the big tease given out at E3 last year it looks like it is time to see more for Project Scorpio as it is still called by Microsoft. This is supposed to be the next big game changing hardware for console gamers out there and supposed to usher us all into a more modern age of gaming. At least that is the hype way of saying. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Xbox One S The Xbox One S now has a release date for us; at least if you want to buy the largest Xbox One S option that will be available Back in June we had word on the new Xbox One S and that it would be coming. Microsoft opened up pre-orders for the console in terms of the 2 TB option around then too and now it looks like we know when the console will be shipped and available. If you are amped to get the Xbox One S or just to upgrade, then you'll be glad to know that it will be coming or in stores on August 2nd here. It looks like the insane wait a lot of people were expecting has been limited down to only a few weeks. Read More...

Xbox One Gets More Storage With A New 1TB Console
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Just before E3 it looks like Microsoft has some new hardware in the way of a 1TB Xbox One and a new Xbox One wireless controller Usually Microsoft waits until their big E3 showcase to announce anything new with their hardware but it looks like we are getting a new Xbox One announcement a little early. Almost a week earlier than if it was during the normal show but I'll take it. Especially when it comes down to us getting a 1TB Xbox One. Read More...

The Interview Is Up On Xbox Video But Not Video Unlimited…Smart Move
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
You can now watch The Interview on Xbox Video and other services but not Sony's own video unlimited… yet… While not directly video game news, The Interview being placed on our gaming systems for streaming could lead to some gaming outages in the coming days. What I am talking about here is that Sony has decided to let the film stream on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video as of this writing. There are plans to let it go to other platforms, including Video Unlimited on the PlayStation Network but those plans are supposedly coming shortly. This is either a stoke of marketing genius or nothing is going to happen but people seeing The Interview. Read More...

We Need New Consoles Right Now
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 10th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Is PC gaming the real way to go or do we need new console releases to keep up with the changing times? In the past few years, I have gotten more and more into PC gaming. One thing I have started to notice is the gap in quality is more and more astronomical. I am not here to start an internet fan boy flame war, only to give an opinion that might work out well for everyone. We need newer and better consoles, more frequently. I know you may be thinking “has this guy lost his marbles? Read More...

My Favorite Games Of Last Gen [Part 2]
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 20th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
The second part of a long list of great games. Welcome to the second part of my favorite games from last gen. If you missed part one you can read it right here. Let's hop right back into it. Red Steel series Red Steel and Red Steel 2 are easily my two favorite titles on the Wii. While they both may not be the best games on the Wii, they both were definitely great for pioneering the new technology the Wii brought forth. Red Steel showcased the new controller's ability to use both motion controls, and sensor targeting in a single game. Read More...

The PlayStation 4 Red Line Issue And A Possible Fix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of November 2013 - 10:49 PM ]
The PlayStation 4 Has Had Reports Of An Overheating Issue Leading To The 'Red Line Of Death'. Here Is A Possible Fix For You So the PlayStation 4 has only been officially out in North America for a few days. I, like many other excited gamers, spent many hours tooling around in the system, playing games, and watching videos. Fortunately for myself I have yet to run into any of the issues that seem to have been reported all over the internet the last few days. The bricking 'Blue Pulse Of Death' and the 'Red Line Of Death' seem to be the most common in the mix. Read More...

Because That's How PlayStation 4 / Xbox One People Are
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of November 2013 - 07:02 PM ]
The Latest South Park Episode Wraps Up The Ludicrous Thoughts On The PS4 Vs. Xbox One Console War…In My Opinion A few years ago, around the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there was a huge controversy over an acronym that was being used as a promotional piece for the game. Fight Against Grenade Spam was the tag for those that don't remember. They caught a lot of flak for it from the media and at about the same time the brains over at South Park Studios put out an episode, The F Word, which summed up my feelings on the matter. As we move into the new consoles coming out here in a matter of days, one for the PlayStation 4 and eight for the Xbox One in NA, I have been seeing more and more on this gens 'Console War'. Xbox One Dashboard Is Explained And Pretty Nifty
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of November 2013 - 11:21 PM ]
Here Is A Twelve Minute Look At The Xbox One's New Dashboard System Just in case you can't wait another two weeks or so to get a look at the new Xbox One Dashboard, you no longer need to pine for a look as Microsoft has given us an extended look at some of the upgrades coming at launch. Also lucky for you there is no need to search the web for this Xbox One footage as I've included it below for your viewing pleasure. It is a bit on the "corny" side as I don't think any of us would ever play games or really use the Xbox One how they do unless we are trying to show off to someone who doesn't own one. Then again, form your own opinion after the video. Read More...

Hey Look At That, The Xbox One Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of September 2013 - 08:58 PM ]
Just as I pondered and hypothesized a little while back, looks like we are getting the Xbox One on November 22nd this year. Just in time to get the bulk of the day one consoles out the door and on eBay to prey on the parents of demanding kids during Black Friday sales. If memory serves this is what Nintendo and Sony did back in 2006. The only difference being that Sony flooded the market with PS3s right around the same time screwing a lot of those capitalists out of a big payoff. I knew quite a few people that fell plague to this and I was glad. Read More...

Here's What We Will Be Playing Day One For The Xbox One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of August 2013 - 08:17 PM ]
Since it seems that Microsoft is still fine tuning all of the "features" and "requirements" around the Xbox One, why don't we focus on what seems a bit more concrete right now? I'm talking about the launch line-up that they just released into the wild during Gamescom. Below you can see the full list of titles ranging through almost every genre that we gamers could want. Even though I am personally not happy with how some of the titles are being handled, looking at you Killer Instinct, it looks pretty damn strong. Also a fun little thing to ponder over, if these are all supposed to be Day One titles, doesn't it kind of point the finger at late November launch for the console? Read More...
