It's been a while since we've gotten any information about Aliens: Colonial Marines. There have been many rumors flying around saying that the game was officially dropped and was never going to see the light of day. Microsoft's Robbie Bach announced during their company's CES Keynote that a demo for Halo Wars will be available for download February 5th. Robbie has also announced that instead of Halo Wars being released March 3rd, they are now moving it to February 28th. I am saddened to report that Hearst-owned UGO Network has purchased the 1UP Network from Ziff Davis. In what was thought initially to help improve 1UP and its financial standings, has turned out to be a grim surprise. Mark Rein from Epic has responded to everyone's complaints about all the glitches in bugs in the game such as equipping the shield with a 2-hand weapon, Lancers with infinite ammo, invisible shields and so on. Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou, an upcoming japanese title on the Nintendo Wii, has released its latest trailer featuring Aya Hirano. The game features a dancing mode, which Aya shows off in this trailer, and the moves you make with the Wiimote simulate those of the actual dancing. For those who may not know, the game is based off of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Aya Hirano is the actual voice actress of Haruhi in Japan. A Tale Of Greek Tragedy? The Good: One thing that I really loved about this game was the story telling of the game. First that it was very Greek and somewhat very close to something one would read in their Ancient Histories class. Second, the fact that you could choose your own adventure as you go a long, with choices based on one of the four patron gods of the game. And these choices are more than what other games allow for. For all those who played Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and had a hard time reading all the small text, you'll be pleased to know that the patch to enlarge the text is out now. This had caused problems because there was no voice acting in the game, like the other 2 Banjo Kazooie games, and certain underpowered rigs made it hard to read the dialog which contains clues and instructions throughout the game. Hideo Kojima said to wait a few more weeks for a public announcement on a upcoming Metal Gear project. But scans from Famitsu pretty much spoiled it. Metal Gear is coming to the Iphone. Konami have also given us some details on the game. It's an original title in the MGS4 world with 8 stages with more to be made soon and obviously controlled by the touchpad. It happened to the Dynasty Warriors series, it happened to pretty much any EA Sports series, and it happened to Armored Core. So with the release of Armored Core For Answer, the thirteenth game in the series, it’s no surprise that even with Ubisoft taking over as publishers, developers From Software have stuck with the two basic elements of an Armored Core game. The last time we saw a James Bond video game that tied into a movie was the release of The World is Not Enough in November of 2000 and it wasn’t so hot. Since then there have been a handful of very good games based on original Bond stories and then of course there was an adaptation of From Russia with Love which once again fell a little short of expectations.
