by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Apsulov Apsulov: End Of Gods will be releasing on the consoles here soon with Apsulov hitting the last and next-gen systems in the mix A little bit ago we all had a chance to see that Apsulov: End Of Gods was out on the PC for the vast amount of gamers to give a futuristic Viking horror title to experience. Yes, that is a thing and it feels like so many missed out on this title from Angry Demon Studio given the limitation of the one platform release. That is why it is awesome to share that Apsulov: End Of Gods will now be hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Switch this coming Summer. Read More...

Hands-On: DmC Demo
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 21st of November 2012 - 05:43 PM ]
After playing the demo to DmC (Devil May Cry, which came out yesterday) it is safe to say that any naysayers or trash talkers have simply shut their mouths. I remember when the first trailer came out, I was completely stoked for this reboot of the franchise and it looked amazing. Plus I thought the new Dante looked like a total bad ass and not a pretty boy like the original. Shouts of "The new Dante is a tool" and "I miss the old Dante, this new one sucks!" seem to have disappeared from my ear drums. Read More...

Let's Now Take A Look At How That Kara Tech Demo Was Made
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of March 2012 - 09:39 PM ]
Near the beginning of the week I showed you the amazing Kara Tech Demo from Quantic Dreams. See as I have yet to see anything on UDK4 I am still saying that this has to be one of the coolest things I have seen from GDC 2012. I won't go further into it as you can read the previous article to get all of my thoughts on it. As for the purpose of this posting, well if you look below we get to see all the work that went into just making that tech demo as well as what we can assume will be part of the process of their next title. Everything from the rendering of the actual actress as the android being built as well as to how they mapped the facial movements so perfectly. Read More...

So I know it may be a little late in the game and that most of you have already seen Quantic Dream's new Tech Demo titled Kara but I still felt like you needed to have my opinion on it. If you feel otherwise, why did you click the link here? But in all seriousness, if you haven't seen the demo yet I have included it just below. Take a look and then continue on for the rest of these ramblings. So while this is just a tech demo showing off the amazing talent of Quantic Dream one would have to say that it is extremely impressive. Read More...

Hunted Gets A New Game Play Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 31st of March 2011 - 05:40 PM ]
It's dangerous to go hunting alone and in the latest game play video from Bethesda and inXile entertainments Hunted: The Demon Forge I wouldn't want to be out there by myself anyways. One of the best things in this video is that we finally get to hear some of the awesome voice over work we have all come to love from Bethesda Studios. Not to mention at the beginning of this month it was announced that Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) would breathe life into the seductive temptress Seraphine. I think the voice acting work is best highlighted at the end of the video where we can see our dynamic duo bantering back and forth. Read More...

PAX East Hands-On: The Darkness II
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 14th of March 2011 - 10:54 PM ]
After waiting two hours in line at the booth for The Darkness II my friend and I finally made it in to get our grimy little hands on the demo. We were the last batch of the day and the seven of us were ushered into the heavily guarded and boxed in booth. Inside it was dark with black lights and heavy, clear curtains dividing the actually play area from the main section. The creepy ambiance and The Darkness occasionally chiming in reminding us of its evil and demonic intentions set the mood for this sequel; Dark, Grim and Scary. Before we were able to play the actual game the Producer, Seth, gathered us around and told us that there are twelve screenshots out right now and if there happens to be a thirteenth one there is going to be hell to pay. Kick, Push, And Coast: Skate 3 Demo Drops
by Kevin [ Thursday, 15th of April 2010 - 08:59 PM ]
The current king of skateboarding titles, the SKATE™ series, is dropping the demo of its third iteration today. The demo has a bunch of single and multiplayer modes to try out before the games drops on May 11th. I have been a fan of the franchise since the first of the series and really had not had much fun with skateboarding titles before this since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater II. Some of the new features for the title, as proclaimed by the official site, include: Everyone Can SKATE. - New skate fans can learn the ins and outs of skateboarding with Coach Frank in the all new skate. Darksiding With A Demo
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 03:02 PM ]
Darksiders, a game that seemed to have trouble finding a general consensus at first, but did manage several very positive reviews is bringing a 90-minute demo to the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on Feb. 25th. The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. Though the game has already shipped a million units, will a demo bring more gamers to the table ready to take on the mantle of War? Time will tell next week when the demo drops. Read More...

Go! Virtua Augment On!
by Kevin [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 05:40 PM ]
You know, with Sony flaunting their wand, Microsoft showcasing Natal, and Nintendo - well, doing what Nintendo does, I should not be as impressed with following video. But I am, and I am more excited about this than any project proclaimed by the previous companies. I see so much more in this than the horrible advertisement videos that Microsoft produces for Natal. This is a demo for some very cool augmented reality technology - watch it, and then tell me that you'd rather play "Microsoft Presents: Avatar Kickball Powered by Natal" more than this. It's Virtual Virtua On with a customized interface to give you the utmost in ARG mechanized warfare. Read More...

Dark Void Demo Impressions
by Kevin [ Thursday, 7th of January 2010 - 01:24 PM ]
The sci-fi action-adventure Dark Void demo has dropped today for the Xbox 360 and will be following on the PSN tomorrow. With the demo you get the chance to take that jetpack for a spin, and engage in some aerial and on-foot combat. It is supposed to serve to wet the appetite for the games' January 19th release date. With some unique gameplay elements like vertical cover, I've been looking forward to taking this title for a test drive. The press release speaks with some glowing words of course, "With the launch of Capcom’s sci-fi shooter, Dark Void, right around the corner, Capcom is giving gamers a chance to test drive the void for themselves this week with a downloadable demo coming to Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Dante To Crash The Gates Of Hell Early
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of November 2009 - 11:53 PM ]
So just in case you needed a good intro to your mid-term or final paper on The Divine Comedy, EA and Visceral Games are going to help you out. How? By giving you the events Dante Alighieri had to go through to get into hell so he could make that google map he did. All in Demo form for your chosen system of PS3, XBox, or PSP. Ok, so this won't actually help any of you getting ready for your final stuff in December, but it will give you a nice way to relax after writing said paper. Or a distraction and a good view and feel for the game. Read More...
