Mechanicus We sit down and review Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus — Heretek DLC. The latest Expansion for Mechanicus. Here is our review of the Heretek DLC Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus was published back in November and was quite enjoyable. Back when I was reviewing the original game, I felt there was a real mismatch between the two main factions, the Mechanicus and the Necrons. It seemed like a weird pairing but they seemed to make it work and really managed to weave an enjoyable story. The Heretek DLC has patched some of the holes for me in that story. Read More...

Here is our review of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Launching onto Steam like the ever-increasing swarm that is the Warhammer franchise, Mechanicus tries to head in a different direction than previous titles. Focusing on the often background relegated computer nerds and mechanics of the Imperium, the Adeptus Mechanicum seems like a strange move. They do not really fight, they are the ones that build the spaceships and design weapons for the Imperium at large but never as frontline fighters. Read More...

Override A new trailer for Override: Mech City Brawl is here to take us through all of the features we will experience in Override this December In the past we have had a few looks at the features for Override: Mech City Brawl. It has been more text among things than any actual gameplay from The Balance Inc. It is what it is and we will take it in strides. Given that the game is slated to land on December 4th, it would be nice to see what we can get ourselves into with the game besides just know it allows us to pilot mechs and destroy part of the city for reasons. Why is it one that you never knew you wanted? Fallout A new Fan TV series call Fallout: Revelation has a third of its pilot out there and ready for us to see a serious side of Fallout instead of the humor We've all come to love Fallout in many forms. Of course we have the game and there have been a few fun and humorous fan films and web series made but now it looks like we are going a bit more serious as we now have another Fan TV series out of MechanicalCake. Here we have Fallout: Revelation a new serious story in the universe. But let it be known that it is not affiliated with Bethesda directly, yet, as the team is looking to delve into the reason that the bombs were dropped in the Fallout universe and everyone had to hide underground. Firefly Online finally has some gameplay footage for us to look at and judge if it will further the franchise that was killed off in its prime If you are a huge fan or Firefly then you may have already heard about Firefly Online. I've been keeping an eye on this PC, iOS and Android MMO since I first caught wind and up until now I've been a little under-impressed with what I've seen thus far. We've not had any good gameplay video and to my knowledge a rather low quality CGI trailer to try and explain what Firefly Online is all about and why the fans should be excited that it is coming. A new Science Fiction MMO, Transverse, has been announced from Piranha Games, the makers of MechWarrior Online Just in time for the other Sci-Fi MMO to be released (Destiny) we have a new announcement from Piranha Games in the form of Transverse. The only difference here is that the MechWarrior Online developer aims to make Transverse a MMO from the beginning and before the nice little announcement trailer below was released. Well there's not much else to report here except go here to get your hands on one of the best PC-exclusive action titles ever released. Nothing streamlined or dumbed down for the console, just pure 30 button action at its best. There have been some reports of server issues, but they seem to have been resolved. I personally think this is an awesome move that will have a short term loss, long term gain for Microsoft (who has finally released one of my favorite IP's), as well as Smith and Tinker - a new developer who has taken the reins for Mechwarrior 5. There are no profits to be found by doing this, but what they will get is the love and respect of the huge Mechwarrior fanbase. Read More...

Give a video game franchise enough time and eventually it stops being about attracting new fans and the focus switches to catering to the hardcore fanbase. It happened to the Dynasty Warriors series, it happened to pretty much any EA Sports series, and it happened to Armored Core. So with the release of Armored Core For Answer, the thirteenth game in the series, it’s no surprise that even with Ubisoft taking over as publishers, developers From Software have stuck with the two basic elements of an Armored Core game. Fast and crazy action and a ton of customization. As a result, it pretty much means that if you’re a fan, you’ll still like this game even if you did buy Armored Core 4 sometime over the course of the last twelve months. Read More...
