Review: Subsonic Racin' Pro Chair
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 16th of May 2011 - 09:37 PM ]
Who doesn’t dream of high-speed car chases and the thrill of racing? Well, the Racin’ Pro portable racing chair from Subsonic gets you just a little bit closer to that dream. Subsonic is giving players the tools to have a first class driving experience as if they were in the arcade themselves. What sets the Racin’ Pro chair apart from the competition is its portability. The chair and all of its pieces fold up into a backpack for easy transportation and storage. Setup is a breeze. Read More…

Finally Some Prototype 2 Screens
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of May 2011 - 06:07 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, or because we are still a year out from launch, but the visuals for Prototype 2 don't seem to be going the way most sequels go. Usually there is some insane boost or extreme change in how things look. From the below screen I'd swear that they were take straight out of the first game. Not that it is a bad thing, but a little unexpected. I do have to say that some of these shots do have me raring to go back and play the original Prototype just because of how much fun I originally had. Read More…

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 5 - Sibling Rivalry...Kind Of
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of May 2011 - 09:02 PM ]
The latest episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy has hit the web and it continues down the path of just retelling the story from the game. I have given up hope that they would begin to go back to the "reality based" version. So I am going to try and approach this from a different angle as my original excitement was for something that seems will never be. Anyway, this episode continues the animatic and story of Kitana and Mileena that was approached in last week's episode. It has the girls vying for their "father's" approval by fighting each other and following out assassination plots. Read More…

Activision To Release A New Call Of Duty, More Talk Of Project Beachhead
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 11th of May 2011 - 03:54 PM ]
Monday brought a lot of long awaited, if not expected, news for the Activision Blizzard team. One important bit of news was a new Call of Duty title that would be released before the end of this year. With Call Of Duty: Black Ops the number one selling game in the US and Europe for the past three months, it's no surprise that Activision is going all in with this one. It's a safe bet that another CoD will sell just as well if not better than its predecessors. "This year's Call Of Duty initiatives will result in the best Call Of Duty experiences we have created to date," Kotick said. Read More…

The Aggrocast is back in a big way with Brian, Corey and David discussing the recent doings (or undoings) of the PlayStation Network - where they went wrong and David's soon-to-be copyrighted idea to fix it. Nintendo's next console also makes an appearance, as well as two new segments - Community Spotlight and Care/Don't Care. No podcast would be complete without a Whatcha Been Playing where the guys talk Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Magicka, Dragon Age 2, Civilization 5, Game Dev Story, EA Sports Active 2 and a few beta releases. We are back! Read More…

Some Heavenly Sword 2 Information?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of May 2011 - 06:01 PM ]
It is hard to believe it has been almost four years since Heavenly Sword hit the PS3, but it has been. It was an amazing game even though its sales were not overwhelming. I'd blame that on the rocky launch of the PS3 and the titles that had been pushed out for said launch. Who'd want to waste $60 on a new IP made specifically for the infant system at the time. Well this guy for one. The game ended leaving a want for a sequel from Ninja Theory. Read More…

Yes, let it sink in for a moment. The time we've all been waiting for. A dream becoming a reality. Yes, Diablo III's external beta test is almost upon us and it's been confirmed by Blizzard'svery own Mike Morhaime. Today (5/9/11) was Activision/Blizzard's quarterly earnings call and Mike Morhaime had some long awaited news for us. "We began internal company-wide testing last week," Morhaime confirmed. Dark Of The Moon Shows How Bumblebee Stings
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of May 2011 - 10:42 PM ]
Unlike Mass Effect 3, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is still on track for its June release. I mean it better be as Activision is trying to get it out in the same window as the upcoming film as well. A delay now would be retardababy. Or at least give us the promise that is not just a film tie-in and a real follow up to War For Cybertron. Well with the being on track and all, there are a few more screen shots from the game to take a look at. You can see them below. Read More…

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 4 - Let's Go To Outworld
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of May 2011 - 03:48 PM ]
Um…I really don't know what to say this time. Other than it looks like the previously mentioned boat has now brought that jumper to the ramp before the shark. This new episode has completely deviated from the original pitch from last year. It reeks of either studio demands or that the production team stopped caring about bring what was originally hyped. I knew Baraka was going to be grossly different than the "real world" rendition, but they went all fantasy on it. Outside of fully deviating from the original gritty real world feel, most of this week's episode is also done in an animatic format. Read More…

Mass Effect 3 Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2011 - 08:42 PM ]
Did you hear that? The loud grown that just flooded the world as all of the Mass Effect fans just heard that Mass Effect 3 is going to be delayed until 2012. Yea, it sucks for the fans, but with how the game looks to be shaping up, I am completely sure that the wait will be well worth it. That is supposed to be the case when they push things back isn't it? Sure it is… Below there are a few new images for ME3 and I am assuming that the delay has to go with something other than the visuals needing work. The game is looking to be extremely beautiful. Review: Mortal Kombat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2011 - 06:08 PM ]
Once again the forces of Outworld are attempting to invade Earthrealm, an invasion that will lead to the enslavement or death of every living soul on Earth. That is if Raiden, God of Thunder, and a handful of fighters fail to fight for our right to live and kill each other on our own terms in Mortal Kombat. A tournament that uses the term "mortal" extremely loosely. Besides the main story of this fighting game, there are many other modes for players to enjoy. Read More…

Zombie King Don't Give A Damn In Call Of The Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of May 2011 - 08:31 PM ]
I'll start by throwing a SPOILER alert here for all those Call Of Duty: Black Ops fans who are picking up the Escalation DLC today on the 360. Also for all those fans who are picking it up on the PS3 or PC later on. The below videos show off some of the DLC that you might want to experience firsthand and not through the internet. You've been warned, don't get pissy. If you are continuing on, then you undoubtedly wish to see what else is included in the DLC besides a few maps for multiplayer. Read More…

Shadows Of The Damned Now Showing Clone-like Symptoms
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of May 2011 - 04:51 PM ]
What I thought was a game that could have been another fun survival horror game seems to be turning into just another clone. Shadows Of The Damned doesn't sound like just a clone in the way of "it has elements" of other games but straight up game play clone. Like for instance a functionality that uses light and darkness to weaken enemies. So Silent Hill and most recently Alan Wake. Specifically AW when you listen to the developers explains how you will have to use light to help weaken the demons. Read More…
