Google Brings You Ninjas!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of November 2008 - 11:47 PM ]
Spice up your inbox with colors and themes While trolling around the interwebs I stumbled across a nice little tidbit from Guild actress Felicia Day. GMail Themes! So I had to go see if I was one of these lucky few and low and behold there it was on one of my accounts. So not completely gaming news, but it is kind of cool geek news. But it looks like a select "few" people have been selected to take a gander at GMail's new Themes for their Beta of the service. No real details on when it will be wide release, but there are some really cool themes selected. Read More…
Challenging BioShock
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of November 2008 - 10:10 PM ]
BioShock PS3 DLC Surfaces Tomorrow So tomorrow, November 20th, those of us that have picked up the PS3 version of BioShock are getting a nice little treat. Exclusive added content for the game on the PSN. The add on is listed below. But there is one thing I find a little off, at least for me, the price point for PS3 users to get this new content. While PS3 BioShock owners will get access to the stuff that was given away to PC and XBox players, these 3 new challenge rooms come for a $10 fee. Might not sound too high, but it is only three new little sections for the game. Read More…

Another one bites the dust
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Wednesday, 19th of November 2008 - 08:27 PM ]
Yesterday the Championship Gaming Series announced that it will no longer be in business. The league who was owned by BSkyB, STAR and DIRECTV has been a major part of e-sports in the last few years and it's a shame to see another one go. Professional Gaming has been a big part of the industry since the 90's and over the last few years has escalated into huge international events. Sadly, this is not the first league to call it quits. Many similar leagues have also shared similar fates in the last few years. Read More…
Try Out LocoRoco 2?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of November 2008 - 10:20 PM ]
LocoRoco 2 In Flash If you have a PSP and have not tried the first one, I totally recommend it. It is addictive and so fun that you find yourself twisting your body to try and make some of the jumps and turns in the game. But this isn't why I bring this up. So what am I blathering about? Well it looks like you will be getting an early look at the new version of the game. Well somewhat. It is a flash demo of some of the things that you can look forward to when the game finally comes out or they release the PSP demo of the game. Read More…
First Impressions of the New Xbox Experience
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 16th of November 2008 - 10:36 PM ]
New Xbox Experience, this has been the discussion amongst many Xbox Live gamers as of late. Many are anxiously anticipating its release, while others are worried this will take away from what Xbox Live has always been. As someone who has been using Xbox Live since 2003, I had mixed reactions to the upcoming NXE update. After receiving an invite from Microsoft to try it out five days prior to the official release, I can say all worries have been squashed. The initial update and install of NXE is quick and seamless, and I faced no problems at all. Read More…

Valkyria Chronicles Already Set For Anime Adaptation
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 13th of November 2008 - 08:58 PM ]
Playstation 3 Strategy Action RPG, Valkyria Chronicles, is currently being adapted for an anime series due out in April of 2009. It is being produced by A-1 Pictures, who recently worked on Persona - Trinity Soul and Kannagi.  We do not know if it will follow the same animation style as the game, mixing 2D/3D, but it is highly unlikely it will completely imitate it. The last game from Sega development team, Overworks, to be adapted into an anime was Sakura Wars, which was met with much acclaim from fans. Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictional Europe of the 1930s, located in the war ravaged country of Gallia, and the game recently saw a stateside release this past Novemeber 4th. Read More…

Halo 3 Recon is 5-6 Hours Long
by Sam [ Thursday, 13th of November 2008 - 07:08 PM ]
Those who got their hands on the December issue of Game Informer might have read about the upcoming Halo 3 expansion Halo 3: Recon. The game is in fact 3-5 hours long, which is very short. The game should also be a very low price. Bungie's Joe Staten says "We do not view this at a $60 title". Hopefully $20-$30. Also mentioned is the expansion will allow users to unlock previously unlockable Recon armor, if you completed the Vidmaster Challenge Achievement. Read More…
Cheaper Mirror's Edge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of November 2008 - 06:43 PM ]
Mirror's Edge 2D Beta I was a little shocked at how fast this was done given the fact that the full version of the game just came out a few days ago. But it looks like there is a full on Flash version of the game being done. Well maybe not a full on version, but a 2D flash version of the idea and concept behind Mirror's Edge. Currently it is only one level long, but it is very well done for being a 2D flash based game. The controls, like the actual game, take a little bit to get use to, but can make for some interesting results once mastered a bit. Read More…

by Sam [ Wednesday, 12th of November 2008 - 06:16 PM ]
The PC demo for Valve's upcoming survivor horror game Left 4 Dead is now available for download without putting down a pre-order like in the 360 version. I haven't got a chance to try, or even download it yet. Hell I don't even know if my computer will run it. It seems worthy of trying, seeing all the good things I've been hearing about it.     UPDATE: They released the demo free for the 360 in the marketplace. Just downloaded it this afternoon. Read More…
