The Childhood Game Of Hot Lava Just Became More 'Dangerous'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
A new title from Klei, Hot Lava, has been announced and it aims to bring us the most epic game of Hot Lava from our childhood… hopefully If you thought you had some of the most epic games of Hot Lava when you were a kid then you might have to re-think a few things. As it turns out, it looks like Klei Entertainment (Don's Starve, Shank) is out to top them all with their version of the classic childhood game. They have just announced their new title is Hot Lava and it looks to place us all in the living room where the lava in the title isn't just in our imaginations but it is also something that can truly harm us. Or harm our avatars in the virtual world but you hopefully get the gist of it all by now. Read More…

Have A Long Stroll Around The Open World Of Watch Dogs 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay video for Watch Dogs 2 has been released and it goes over all of the ins and outs of Watch Dogs 2's gameplay and world We've all seen some fun footage for Watch Dogs 2 so far and there has been quite a bit of explanation with it all. From the stealth action to the hacking to the multiplayer Ubisoft has been cramming it down our throats and it has all been just as amazing as the first time we saw the franchise in action. Now that Watch Dogs 2 is just over two months out from launch it looks like it is high time that everyone gets to see what has been going on behind closed doors for press and media types at all of the conventions; with new-ish gameplay for all. For the most part what we have here is the fun twenty-minute demo for Watch Dogs 2 that was shown off at E3. Read More…

Resident Evil 7 Brings Us A New Character As A Bit Of The Story Leaks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
A small part of Resident Evil 7's story has leaked out due to an early ERSB rating and it looks like Resident Evil 7 will be giving us a new character to play If you are still looking to get some of the actual story of Resident Evil 7 then you are in luck today as it looks like some of it has been leaked out there. Not too much as Capcom is still keeping things well under wraps but it looks like the description of the game from the ERSB has shined a bit of light onto what is going on. Some are saying that Resident Evil 7 is a sequel in story but that is still yet to be fully determined even with these new bits. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 8/22/16 — 8/26/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of August 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Another week down and even more video games to have been discussed. We've gone past the tail end of Gamescom and are still recovering from that just before we move on to PAX again. More and more video games and less and less time. That is also if we want to ignore all of the new games coming like Mafia 3, BioShock: The Collection, and Final Fantasy XV. Read More…

Review — Layers Of Fear: Inheritance
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Layers Of Fear: Inheritance. We have a new bit of story DLC for a great horror game now. Here's Our Review Of Layers Of Fear: Inheritance Almost a year ago we were all introduced to a full version of Layers Of Fear and some of us regained a love for fear and horror. If not then, then when Bloober Team and Aspyr Media released the game on the PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year. It was fun and had some great jumps to it all but I know I was left wanting more. Let's Play Some BioShock: The Collection To See How It All Looks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Some early looks at BioShock: The Collection have been uploaded and now we get to see all three BioShock titles up and running for us to dissect I knew that with BioShock: The Collection coming out soon it would only be a matter of time that we started to see some "let's play" videos popping up. They are all the rage and I'm sure that 2K Games would love the free publicity that goes along with them. It looks like they couldn't wait to get BioShock: The Collection out there on September 13th for us all. Read More…

Have Some Gameplay For Vampyr To Gaze Into Its Soul
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Another gameplay video for Vampyr has been placed online for us to watch and see if there is something new to spy for Vampyr after all of its showings It's always a good day when you get new gameplay for an upcoming game we are all excited about so I was over joyed when I saw that we have more gameplay for Vampyr. Ever since it was first announced by Dontnod and then showcased by Focus Home Interactive I was ready for the game to launch now even though it is still slated to come in 2017 at some point. I've tried to stay up on all of the news and tidbits here for Vampyr and now another video has been uploaded for us to watch right out of Gamescom. Read More…

Meet The Men Who Will Influence The End Result Of Mafia 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Another character video for Mafia 3 has been released and here we get to see the two men who will help guide Lincoln as the events of Mafia 3 play out for us We may have seen these two men in the background of the videos for Mafia 3 but as it turns out, it looks like some of the supporting cast will have a greater effect on the overall game than just being there. In yet another character video from 2K Games to show things off it looks like we have a look at the priest and CIA operative that have been all over but not talked about much by Hangar 13. That is of course until now as we have a deeper look at how these two men will influence the outcomes of Mafia 3 for their own goals or the "soul" of Lincoln Clay. Read More…

World Of Final Fantasy Gets All Blue With New Screenshots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
A new batch of World Of Final Fantasy screenshots have been released and it looks like a lot of classic Final Fantasy characters/monsters are getting added in Usually a game like World Of Final Fantasy would be something I would overlook given the art style and the "cuteness" shown so far. Thankfully I have been pushing past all of those biases to see what Square Enix has to offer and with each new batch of screenshots and video for the game I am glad I do. Now I am on the verge of not being able to wait for World Of Final Fantasy to finally release on October 25th as we have a whole new batch of screenshots that look to bring a lot of the classic characters and monsters back into the mix. Memories & Zombies Are Dug Up In Rise Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
A trailer for the next Rise Of The Tomb Raider DLC has been revealed as well as many other additions coming to this Tomb Raider title to fuel the nightmares As we get closer to the release date for Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the PS4 we also need to remember that we are getting closer to the release of all that extra DLC for the game on the Xbox One and PC too. Of course Crystal Dynamics is only bringing the VR support to the PS4 version of one of the bits of DLC but until now we've only scene glimpses of it all. Sadly, it looks like Square Enix is having its time in the night with zombies as one of the bits of DLC we are getting will be bringing them to Tomb Raider for us to kill in a horde-like mode in the basement of Croft Manor. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
We sit down and review 7 Days To Die. The classic survival/crafting game has been brought out for the current gen systems Here's our review of 7 Days To Die Almost three years ago we saw 7 Days To Die pop up for Early Access on Steam and people began to get excited for this new open world that The Fun Pimps Were crafting for us. Fast forward those three years and Telltale Publishing brought the game to life on the PS4 and Xbox One for even more players to enjoy. Now the game has been out for a little bit and we've had the chance to dive in and give 7 Days To Die a try to see if it is worth your time or just another title to fall off the map. Read More…

Ghost Recon Wildlands Ups The Immersion With Customization Options
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Ghost Recon Wildlands goes into a bit of detail on the level we'll be able to customize our Ghost Recon Wildlands characters in-game It should come as no real surprise here but hopefully it is well known that Ghost Recon Wildlands is aiming high for a level of immersion. It is something that we see in almost all of Ubisoft's titles and they bank on it for the sales and the extra DLC that can be put out there for a deeper immersion into their games. Like I said, Ghost Recon Wildlands is not going to be different at all and now we get to see just how customizable our Ghosts are going to be when we pick up the game on March 7th 2017 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Review — Ratchet & Clank [Blu-Ray]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank has recently hit the small screens of home with new content. We had a chance to sit down and break the film down piece by piece. Here is our review of Ratchet & Clank Maybe you remember back when Ratchet & Clank first came out and that there was a feature film that was slated to launch with it. It did launch in theaters shortly after the video game's launch and Insomniac Games had its IP all over the place for a short time. As films always do, Ratchet & Clank left the big screen and we were left with only the video game to keep us coming. Read More…

Have A Deeper Look At Mafia 3's Thomas Burke & Soundtrack
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Another breakdown of Mafia 3's Thomas Burke has released as well as an epic looking soundtrack for Mafia 3 that will have over 100 songs on it It is time to continue the releasing of information on each of the Mafia 3 lieutenants and again we have more on Thomas Burke. We already know a little bit based on the promotional materials that 2K Games has put out there already but it is always nice to get a good description and explanation of things from the writers over there at Hangar 13. That is just what we have to get us ready for the full release of Mafia 3 on October 7th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Well at least what we have until we get to dig deeper in as we know all the characters are going to be fleshed out a bit more than a minute-long video. Read More…

For Honor Gets A Collector's Case That Shows Each Faction Perfectly
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The collector's edition for For Honor has been shown off to us all and we get a good look at For Honor's different factions in trailer form In the recent year I'll admit we really haven't seen many great looking collector's editions for game but as it looks now, For Honor is about to take the cake and eat it to. I'm not sure if that is a great phase but I am using it none the less as Ubisoft is giving us one of the best options to pick up the game with and I'm sure you'll agree. Mainly as the collector's edition of For Honor happens to come with replicas of the helmets for each of the factions we'll be playing in the game. Read More…
