Borderlands 2 Announced And Playable

As has come to be the case lately, Borderlands 2 has been announced using Game Informer. The case I'm talking about is that 2K Games sent out no official press release and just used the magazine to spread the word. So everyone out there who doesn't have a subscription and/or doesn't want to pick up the magazine is SOL. You could also be like myself and still have yet to receive your copy in the mail. QuakeCon '11 Incoming

Let's start with "What is QuakeCon?", or as it has been known since 1996, the Woodstock of PC/LAN gaming. Hands down, one of the largest LAN parties of our generation. A celebration of all things Quake-oriented and bringing LAN gamers together onto one giant network. A gaming marathon that one will never forget from August 4th to 7th. Although, with so many gamers in a single location, and hosted by some of the biggest names in the business, (id Software, Bethesda, Insomniac, and Respawn) were bound to get some great news out of this event. Mortal Kombat No Longer The Dream You Want

So this threw me for kind of a loop at Comic Con. The fourth, and possibly final, DLC character announced for Mortal Kombat is Freddy Krueger. Not the rumored Green Lantern or some other comic super hero but the master of nightmares. Waterworks In The New Mortal Kombat DLC

The guys over at NetherRealm Studios have released a few trailers for their newest Mortal Kombat DLC character Rain. The trailers show off some of his back story, which is quite nice. Seems that after being orphaned from Shao-Khan's merciless army, the resistance adopted him and made him into a very powerful but arrogant warrior. After being denied a command position in the resistance he betrayed them and joined his mortal enemy, Shao-Khan. The device can be purchased from the Blizzard online store or downloaded for free on your mobile device. With the Windows 7 Phone's recent release, and a new marketplace on the horizon for app development, where is our authenticator? WarCorner: Real ID Party Available For Testing

Blizzard a while back made mention that players would be able to group together (same faction) and be able to run through random dungeons together across servers. Crazy I know, but it is Blizzard. They have the technology and the man power to make such miracles happen. I got an e-mail today confirming just that. The Real ID Party system went into live testing today and players will be able to experience cross-realm game play with friends. How this works is players will be required to have the Real ID of their friends they want to play with and invite them into a group. Read More...

Batman Really Taking On Jigsaw In Arkham City Now

I do love the new direction that RockSteady has taken The Riddler, my second favorite villain, but I can't seem to look past the close similarities in the characters. They are both geniuses. They both like putting people in death traps. They both have a specific tone and method to their speaking. I guess the only real difference is that the new Riddler does it to prove to the world that he really is the smartest person alive. Anyways, if you haven't picked up on it yet, or skipped to the video, there is a new clip showcasing some of the personality behind The Riddle of Batman: Arkham City. Gears Of War 3 Leaked Online?!?

Epic games are pissed and they are out for blood. I'm sorry if you leaked out one of my most anticipated games for 2011 I would be pretty ticked off myself. Two months before release videos on youtube.com for Gears Of War 3 are popping up all over the place. Not only that, the videos are of the full single player campaign and some of the multiplayer options. This is very reminiscent of the Crysis 2 PC leak that happened not too long ago. Nearly 14 years in the making, Duke Nukem is back in action in Duke Nukem Forever. It was shaky and seemed like it was never going to hit shelves, but Gearbox and 2K Games proved most of us wrong. Star Wars: The Old Republic E3 Intro Cinematic

Okay, that's it. If I have to watch one more cinematic teaser for Star Wars: The Old Republic, I'm gonna scream. Honestly, these things are so awesome, it's almost like a feature length film. The latest one released at E3 this year has me torn. I'm no longer sure if I want to be a Jedi or a Sith - and for good reason. Batman: Arkham City Just Got Sexier

So it looks like the rumor about NOT being able to play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City is now busted. Submitted for your consumption, I give you a look at a bit of the game play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. Straight from the horse's mouth, A.K.A. Rocksteady, to our eyes. Yes, I know that doesn't make visual sense, but just go with it. It doesn't show any form of Co-Op which leads me to believe that she is either going to have a small portion of the game set up like The Joker did in Arkham Asylum. Klassic Skins And Skarlet DLC Coming Soon To Mortal Kombat

So that didn't take long at all. A little under two months out from launch and we are getting all those pretty pre-order exclusives for Mortal Kombat hitting the open market. I get that those who pre-ordered the game at a specific location have had access to whichever klassic character skin and fatality from day one, but do you feel any kind of special for being that big of a fan? I know I'd feel a little cheated as the proof of my fandom is now being given out to anyone who wants it now. The collection consists of seven pre-order klassic character skins (Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kitana) and klassic fatalities (Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero).
