Review: Mass Effect 2
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 8th of February 2010 - 09:31 PM ]
*Disclaimer: If you have not played Mass Effect, then I urge you to play through it before reading this review, as it will contain some spoilers from the first game. After the original Mass Effect, Bioware had a tough job on their hands. They made an excellent game, but one that was hampered by complaints from the players. So during the two plus years since the original, Bioware has spent their time making the necessary changes. The final result is leaps and bounds ahead of the first. Read More...

Kratos' Fury To Quench Kratos' Rage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of January 2010 - 06:08 PM ]
When you have a red, hot rage against the gods like Kratos does, how are you suppose to quench it? A rage that is hotter than the deepest bowles of Tartarus hot. Well with the new Kratos Fury Slurpee being housed in your local Seven Eleven stores in the next week or so. Then you can probably enjoy this Blackberry and Lime flavored frozen delight all the way up until the launch of the game in March. At least that is how it was made to sound from Evan Brody, the Marketing Manager for Slurpee and Big Gulp Brands. To go a bit further for all of this, on each of the four different cups for this promotion there are codes you can input on Slurpee. Read More...

Well it was rumored earlier that the End would Begin on March 17th from the release date of the God of War III PS3 bundle in Europe. There were no confirmations about it being the true listed date or not. Well that was until now. That is, Sony just announced the official release date for God of War III as the 16th of March. So mark it as official and get ready for the Chaos. With that being announced, Sony was also nice enough to show off exactly what the Ultimate Edition will look like before you open it, and then after. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of January 2010 - 12:29 AM ]
So the launch of Mass Effect 2 is only a few days away now. So how does BioWare and EA want you to get excited for it? Well in the epic movie trailer type of way. At least this is how it seems from the new trailer for the game that was just unleashed on the gaming community. Man is it an epic video too. Honestly my words won't be able to describe the clip as well as just watching it. But if you still have yet to skip past my words to the video, let me sum it up. Read More...

Also a little bit of some of the other weapons and levels we have to look forward to this coming March. Like the below big stone guy with giant mallet to boot. Or what looks to be a shipping yard full of crates. Read More...

It is a well known fact that in God of War III you will be taking on huge bosses and traversing large environments that are literally the titans themselves that are suppose to be helping Kratos in the upcoming finale to the God of War storyline. If you had no clue of this, go back to Utah because that is apparently where you are from. Either that or read a bit more on this epic game. For all of you out there that know what the fuck I am talking about, you have been waiting to see what some of the levels will look like. Read More...

Stay on Target...Stay on Target...
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 12th of January 2010 - 05:51 PM ]
I'm a Star Wars fan. and I'm also a huge MMO fan.  So since the announcement of Star Wars the Old Republic the MMO, I have been digging and watching everything I can to get anything I can about this game.EA CEO John Riccitiello had a conference call and a press release to update their future fiscal prospect in 2010 yesterday (numbers, numbers, blah, blah, blah).  As you all know EA is a powerhouse this year and has tons of games heading for the shelves this year, and it's going to be hell to catch up with them all (but stay tuned because we will cover them).  John Riccitiello did give us a bit of news that had ears around the internet buzzing:"One key driver is going to be the launch date of our major MMO. Review: God of War Collection - GoWII
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of December 2009 - 03:49 PM ]
Continuing from the God of War Review from a few weeks ago, the beginning part of the Collection, we bring you God of War II. Which as you would think, continues the story of Kratos and his fight against the Gods and Titans from Greek mythology. Only this time with a little bit more twists and a quasi surprise ending that some could kind of see coming. At least if you know your mythology. Before I get to much further in, let me answer a question you may have. Read More...

Review: God of War Collection - GoW
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of December 2009 - 05:41 PM ]
With the lack of backwards compatibility on the current age PS3 units, it was starting to look like there was no way for new users to play their classic games as the technology became more economically available. This being the case, it looked like some great classic games would get purged from households to make way for the new technology. But you can't keep a great classic down, and it was decided to produce a version of one to make it through to the modern tech. Much like the great Greek Tales, God of War and God of War II do just the same with the God of War Collection. Read More...

Shh. We Got Your Tron Tease. Don't Tell...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of November 2009 - 04:52 AM ]
While not overly impressive as a full video of gameplay or what is going on the game, that will come later at the VGA's, what we do have is a little sneak peek at what the video game of a movie about a killer video game may be have with in the lines of code. Yea, that was a stretch for a very lack luster attempt at a joke. In any instance, if you are interested in being teased with very little actual game play or story shots for the game part of the new film Tron, then below is something for you. It is a short promo showing off a little bit of the fact that there will be light cycles in the game. Read More...

Review: Dragon Age: Origins
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 15th of November 2009 - 04:00 PM ]
Dragon Age: Origins is the latest RPG to come from the well respected developer, Bioware. They have long been known for their deep stories, engrossing characters, and way of involving the player in the game by forcing one to make difficult decisions that affect everything around them. So anyone picking up Dragon Age knows what to expect for the most part, and will not be disappointed. Dragon Age: Origins is a dark fantasy game set in a land, known as Ferelden, where the Blight is at hand, and Darkspawn are quickly taking over. You begin the game as your choice of race and class, and set on your own origin quest. Read More...
