Sony Gets Another Star Wars MMO

Sony Online Entertainment is no stranger to the Star Wars Universe, but I guess they couldn't wait any longer for BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Frankly neither can we. SOE is going live today with their latest MMO title - Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures. Sony's new Clone Wars title is geared specifically for the younger generation of Star Wars fans, and avid watchers of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network. Obviously with Sony's success with the Free Realms franchise, kids and micro-transactions go together like peanut butter and bananas. Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures will be free-to-play, but will also utilize the Sony Online Store cash system for players to purchase items, outfits and accessories. Read More...

New PSP Go Promotion Gives New Owners Free Games

A new promotion was announced on the PlayStation Blog yesterday for the PSPGo. Anyone who buys the handheld from now until March 31st, 2011 will receive three free game vouchers. The games included are: Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, and Little Big Planet. Overall this is a solid set of games, but unfortunately the SCEA bundle pales in comparison with the SCEE deal, as anyone in Europe who buys a PSPGo gets 10 free games with their purchase. This offer pretty much confirms that we won't likely be hearing about a PSP2 anytime soon, and more importantly it shows that SCEA is still doing an incredibly awful job at marketing the PSPGo in the US. They have created a “Win a Trip to E3 2010” contest and all they want you to do is create an open letter video to Kevin Butler, you know everyone favorite fictional Playstation VP in the commercials. Save The Date With Sony For E3

With E3 slowly getting closer and closer, a surprise announcement last week from Microsoft will kick E3 off early on a Sunday for Project Natal. Not to be left behind, today Sony has told everyone to Save The Date for June 15th in Los Angeles, CA as to when they will be revealing their latest stuff this year. With Microsoft and Sony all set with their conference date it is all up for Nintendo to inform us when they will be holding their conference so we all can see their latest handheld, the 3DS. Hackers Ruin The PS3 For Everyone?

The following words are my own opinions and not those of AggroGamer and its staff. A month or two ago, it was announced that someone had figured out how to crack the PS3 to allow for home-brews and "pirated"/backed up PS2 and PS3 games to be played on the system. It was not explained how for a week or two after the announcement that it could be done in a way that could not be patched. But this isn't the news here. The news here is that Sony, after stating it wouldn't, is going to force "Fat" PS3 owners to update so they can no longer install another OS on the system. Read More...

NIS America Bringing Persona Anime To North America

NIS America has long been known for bringing over Japanese RPGs and niche titles to the U.S. Not just content with being a videogame publisher here in America, they announced back on February 11th that they will be expanding to include the publishing of anime. Most notably though is the announcement of Persona -Trinity Soul-. Persona -Trinity Soul- is an anime TV series is based on the Shin Megami Tensai: Persona RPG series created by Atlus. As the below video montage/teaser for the new Sonic The Hedgehog game show, the new Sonic 4 that was just announced only took the people of Sega since 1994 to pump out the new game. Not all that long right? I mean they did have all those spin offs and uses of Sonic in between the last sonic game and this downloadable Sonic game that is coming this summer.
