Tell Sony What You Really Think
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of March 2010 - 09:55 PM ]
Haven't you always wanted to tell one of the three major console companies what you think? At least where it will actually get read by more than just fans of your blog or site. What if there was a real place to tell them you thoughts and wants? Would you be able to express yourself correctly and get your point across? Well you are in luck. Over at the Sony PlayStation Blog, they are letting users do just that. Read More...

Review: Heavy Rain
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 9th of March 2010 - 11:37 PM ]
To every person who has ever claimed that they are all about story over game play, be prepared to put your money where your mouth is. An ambitious title from start to finish, Heavy Rain will challenge you not only on your assertions, but possibly your morality and level of immersion as well. Whether you call it “interactive media,” a “story-driven game” or “Choose Your Own Adventure gone wrong,” Heavy Rain will intrigue you enough to play it and it will elicit a reaction whether it be for good or for ill. The story is in the not-to-distant future of a city gripped in fear of a kidnapper / serial killer. With little hope of catching the killer, the hysteria mounts as another victim is taken. This Week In Nintendo 02/15/10
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 16th of February 2010 - 12:51 AM ]
Today is President Day and Nintendo wanted to join in the spirit of things by releasing new DLC this week, in honor of all the great leaders, with these excellent titles. Let us start with needing someone with a high end degree. We also need someone with experience and have a sense of problem-solving skills. That’s where Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney comes into play with the title release of Justice For All (and no we are not talking about the Metallica album). Now we need someone that is great with words. It Only Took 16 Years For Sonic 4: Episode 1
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of February 2010 - 05:32 PM ]
As the below video montage/teaser for the new Sonic The Hedgehog game show, the new Sonic 4 that was just announced only took the people of Sega since 1994 to pump out the new game. Not all that long right? I mean they did have all those spin offs and uses of Sonic in between the last sonic game and this downloadable Sonic game that is coming this summer. As you can tell from the title, even though it has yet to be officially stated, this new Sonic will be episodic in nature. I mean, why call it episode 1 if it wasn't going to be. Read More...

Brian, Binh & David are back to wrap up the Consumer Electronic Show for 2010.  In an odd turn of events they start with Day 4 and what Binh caught as the show closed (Wii sniper rifle); then they moved onto Day 2 including a recreation of events that you would normally see here, a visit with Capcom and a "celebrity" sighting.  Things finish up with the guys talking Saturday's Day 3.  With no appointments to meet, it was time to get to all the spots they missed previously. by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 21st of December 2009 - 06:03 PM ]
“Play, Create, Share” is the motto for the newest Playstation Portable game Little Big Planet PSP. We all know how Little Big Planet when released for the Playstation 3; winning awards left and right and managing to win Game of the Year in many publications like GamePro, Edge and Eurogamer. The thing is, most of us already know how Little Big Planet (LBP) played on Sony's big black console and we here at Aggrogamer were curious just how it would play out on the often-overlooked PSP. Well let us utilize the motto to explore the PSP version of Little Big Planet. “Play”: Little Big Planet PSP is in no way a port from the PS3 to the PSP. Read More...

Smithsonian to host Video Game art.
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 12th of December 2009 - 01:51 AM ]
So, presumably right before the world ends, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC will host art that most of its denizens aren't used to: Video Game Art. Beginning on March 16th and lasting until September 9 in 2012 (or the end of the world, whichever comes first), the Smithsonian will host an exhibition covering everything from the Magnavox Odyssey (of which is already in the Smithsonian now) to the PlayStation 3 and everything in between. Video game art exhibitions aren't anything new, however big name players like Smithsonian have never had one. The Smithsonian said that not only will they have developer interviews, concept art, screenshots, rarely seen console concepts, game footage, and more, but they'll also take input from the public on what they would like to see. by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 5th of December 2009 - 09:00 PM ]
We all know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 took away dedicated servers from PC gamers. This is not the case for Shattered Horizon. On December 4th, 2009 Futuremark Games Studio finally allows for a dedicated server for Shattered Horizon, a multiplayer first-person shooter played in zero gravity. At least PC gamers will be able to choose how they want to play Shattered Horizon and who they want to play with. Players will be getting greater protection from cheats, hackers and griefers. A Whole New Medal of Honor
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 2nd of December 2009 - 09:02 PM ]
Are you ready for another Medal of Honor game? Well it has been a while since we have seen action in the Medal of Honor universe. What if I told you that this Medal of Honor won’t take place in World War II, but instead it takes place in modern era?  Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that in 2010 an all-new Medal of Honor will introduce the Tier 1 Operator, a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle. EA has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community since the earliest stages of development to create the most authentic modern war experience. Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor had this to say, “When we first set out to reinvent Medal of Honor, we wanted to stay true to its roots of authenticity and respect for the soldier, but bring it into today’s war. Review: Assassin's Creed Bloodlines
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 2nd of December 2009 - 05:39 PM ]
As I was about to board my flight for the trip, I thought I might pick up something to help the trip go by faster. I understood that buying inside the airport usually meant higher prices, but I managed to find a reasonably priced PSP Assassin's Creed Bloodlines bundle, which came with the game, a Silver PSP-3000, a code redeemable for a DLC version of Angels and Demons, and a 2gb memory stick. Sure, I already had the PSP-1000 and I did know that the 3000's screens were crap at best, but I decided to get one anyhow seeing as that my launch unit's screen was fairly beaten up, scratched, and the fact that the audio only worked through the headphones as the speakers had found a way to stop working about 2 weeks before. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed isn't new to the handheld world, Altair's Chronicles was released to the Nintendo DS and iPhone earlier, however this was the first time that they would try putting the full free-roam style gameplay on a handheld.
