Review — Maneater
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of May 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Maneater We sit down and review Maneater. The big shaRkPG that is making a huge splash right now. Here is our review of Maneater Talk about a game that made a splash, pun intended, when it was first announced and that game was Maneater. This would be that new RPG from Tripwire Interactive that places un in the role of a shark in a new RPG title for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It humorously took over all of the gaming shows that wanted to show off just what Maneater was all about as a vicious shark chowed down on all of the humans at the beach. Now we are finally here to take a deeper dive into what the game brings to the table. Read More...

Maneater Is Looking Very Impressive With These New Screenshots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of April 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Maneater New screenshots are here for Maneater to show us how impressive Maneater is going to look using the Megascans library that is out there Fresh on the heels of the last big update for Maneater, we have more screenshots to look at for the game to get us all further hyped up. Not that we had any concern that Blindside Interactive was not going to be doing all that it could to impress with the visuals, Tripwire Interactive has dropped us with some new visuals. All of which are poised to show off how Maneater is going to be using the Megascans that are now part of the Unreal 4 engine the game is running on. That would be the extremely detailed textures of real-world objects that are free to use for all of our games to give them more life. Read More...

The Apex Predators Are Out In The Waters Of Maneater
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of April 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Maneater Get to know more of Maneater by taking in the sights, sounds, and apex predators we will have to take down in Maneater We are a month out from the launch of Maneater as it is still poised to launch on May 22nd right now but things could change for the PC, PS4, and/or Xbox One release of it all. We will see, but it looks like Blindside Interactive and Tripwire Interactive have yet to pull that date as of yet and we are still on par. Let us all hope it stays that way for Maneater and we will be playing this ShaRkPG soon. Read More...

Swim About With More Of The Story In Maneater
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of February 2020 - 08:00 PM ]
Maneater We have more gameplay for Maneater that shows off not only how the game will flow but also a bit of the story in Maneater to enjoy Get ready to dive right into a lot more for Maneater, as we have a nice and long look at more of the game's story that we will get to experience. Given how it all flows here, it is easy to assume this is from the opening of the game with all of the tutorial-like missions and such. It could also be just a slice of what Tripwire Interactive has up their sleeve in terms of how we will progress from "level" to "level" in the game. Even with the progression system of Maneater laid out from before, it would be interesting to see if each of the different hunters are working toward a different iteration of the shark each time now. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of December 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
Maneater The release date for Maneater is now set down and we will get to play Maneater this coming May on all of the platforms Over the last few years, we have been getting little bits for Maneater here and there with some solid showings out at E3 and then again at The Game Awards last night. It has been an interesting run from Blindside Interactive and Tripwire Interactive to get to where it is now. It also looks like things have only done more to progress and further for us to all get ready to play this shaRkPG on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It has progressed so much that we now have a release date for Maneater and we will get to play it all on May 22nd of 2020. Read More...

Maneater Is Jumping Out With Some Public Gamescom Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of August 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Maneater The gameplay for Maneater that was behind doors at E3 is now out there during Gamescom to help us all understand Maneater a bit more Back at E3, I had the pleasure of seeing some new gameplay for Maneater to get a better idea of just what is going on in the Shark-P-G title here. There was a nice little write up about all of that and the little bits more that Blindside Interactive and Tripwire Interactive had on the floor for us all. Words are nice, but I know the audience here and how they all like to have some actual visuals for their games. It is why we have to poach from other sites so we can make sure we keep you all happy and up to date on Maneater. Read More...

Maneater Takes A Deeper Dive Behind The Scenes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of July 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Maneater A new behind the scenes video for Maneater is here to give us a bit more on how Maneater has been coming to life and what to expect There really has not been a whole lot out there for Maneater as of yet after having it announced so long ago. Even with the solid showing of it during E3 this year from Blindside Interactive, there is still so much that we have yet to learn from Tripwire Interactive in regards to is all. It seems to be the way video games have been going as of late and with the weirdness of Maneater, one would expect there to be a bit more. This is where that all seems to come in for those who have not been keeping completely up on the game as of yet or pre-ordered it for their PC. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Maneater
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Maneater While at E3, I was able to see Maneater in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Maneater. A title that made a huge splash, pun intended, back at E3 2018 had to be Maneater. That would be the ShaRkPG title that we were introduced to from Blindside Interactive and Tripwire Interactive during the main PC Gaming show at the start of the event. Originally, it looked to be like a joke title that was going to build into something different to me, but here we are back again and we can see that it has become much more. Well, at least some of us who were lucky enough to see solid gameplay for Maneater during this year's E3 and not just the fun little trailer we were all given when it was highlighted again. Big announcements are happening at GDC every day but Nintendo surprised everyone when it announced a new collaboration with AT&T and its soon to be released Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo Announces Red, Will See Green This Holiday Season
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 21st of October 2010 - 05:29 PM ]
Today, Nintendo announced new holiday bundles to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. release on the NES. Going "Mario-red," the new Wii and DSi XL will each have Mario games bundled in with them to complete the experience. Nintendo also unveiled the new Wii-mote with the Wii Motion Plus technology built into the original frame. Okay, so once I got over the initial lust for the little red console, I noticed little nuances that I know will have no bearing on what actually will happen in real life, but I thought worth mentioning.    First, we start with the most obvious: the new Wii-mote. Nintendo Drops Portable Price For Holidays
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 31st of August 2010 - 08:34 PM ]
As if Nintendo didn't already control enough of the portable console market, they wanted to really push the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL handhelds this holiday season by reducing prices. Beginning on September 12th, the Nintendo DSi will drop to $149.99 and the DSi XL will drop to $169.99. The DS Lite will continue at the $129.99 price point. As always, the marketing team over at Nintendo of America (NOA) makes a brilliant move: drop the price of the DSi and DSi XL now in September in order to sell more units for Holiday 2010. Nintendo Reminds Us They Have Games
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 18th of August 2010 - 05:19 PM ]
With Gamescom 2010 getting into full swing with news and announcements, Nintendo decided they wanted to remind its consumers that they too have games coming out this fall and that you won't want to miss them. Two games in particular were given solid release dates. Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns were big hits at E3 this year and have been generating huge buzz for their impending arrival. While I could never get close enough to play Kirby's Epic Yarn, I did have an opportunity to play with our large, simian friend. If you didn't catch my thoughts in our E3 podcasts, I can tell you here that the game is addictive... Read More...
