Ladies and gentlemen, the announcement you've all been waiting for has finally come. The 3DS will finally have its own 3D Pokémon games. Just announced are Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. The original 2004 PC classic known only as Painkiller has received the HD treatment. I'm not talking the "crappy HD" kind either. Announced back at this year's E3, the HD remake of Painkiller is out right now! for PC. XBox 360 and PS3 owners are going to have to duke it out for another couple of months as their versions will be available come January 22nd, 2013. I loved the original Painkiller with its tons of insane, over-the-top weapons, like the Stake Launcher or the double barreled Shotgun with a liquid nitrogen alt fire. If you own Borderlands 2 and have a Twitter account, then you should know by now that Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox, and Gearbox Software tweet out Golden Key codes that can be redeemed using the "SHiFT" program on Borderlands 2. These codes last for about three hours and have a "once per account" use. Golden Keys are used to open a special golden loot chest in Sanctuary. The higher your level, the better the loot. Today started like any other. I signed into XBox Live, went to see what was new on the marketplace, and found the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Multiplayer Beta ready for download. I enjoyed the last Medal of Honor so much that I decided to give it a try. Once again I am finding it tough to tear myself away from the game even to write this. Well, after beating the campaign for the first time and having my jaw drop to the floor in shock, I think it's time we start discussing what could be improved for the third installment of Borderlands. I first experienced Borderlands 2 at PAX East, where I got to play the demo and see some of the new features it had to offer. Five months later, I am running through the game with the excitement of a little boy picking out his presents at a toy store. If you are anticipating the release Medal Of Honor: Warfighter and play on XBox 360 you are in luck. EA and Danger Close announced that a multiplayer beta is coming exclusively to the XBox 360 in early October. Downloading the beta will not only give players an early look but will also grant players 60 minutes of double XP when the game releases on October 23. EA also announced that if 3 million people download the beta they will release a special Linkin Park music video for their song Castle Of Glass. Criterion released a new game play trailer this week showcasing some new single player features in Need For Speed Most Wanted. One feature that really stood out was the ability to modify your car’s performance parts on the fly. Some of the modifications that can be made to your car include a reinforced chaise to help you take down your rivals and a nitrous boost to leave other racers in the dust. If the cops are on your tail you can foil their tactics by equipping re-inflating tires to be able to run over spike strips or equip impact protection to your car to blast through their roadblocks.
