On September 30th it was officially announced on the Rock Band forum that AC/DC is coming to the hugely popular Harmonix title. Though their song “Let There be Rock” is playable for Rock Band 2, currently out on the Xbox 360 and soon for the PS3, the band will also be getting the stand-alone treatment for both the original Rock Band and its sequel. Available only on disc and not a part of the DLC, the installment will be titled AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack and hits store shelves on November 2nd for the 360, PS3 and PS2. Jack Thompson Disbarred That's right, one of the main thorns in the side of the video game community/industry has just been permanently disbarred as well as having to pay hefty fine by the Supreme Court of Florida. All of this for inappropriate conduct when filing his flagrant charges against Game, TV, and Music companies for their "Questionable" material in their formats. Luke Smith, the Bungie Weekly Updater, has revealed some of the new achievements that will be added to Halo 3 when Title Update 2 hits later this month. The achievements are related to the campaign, ranked/social play, and the Legendary map pack. EA's survival horror space shooter Dead Space, which was supposed to come out on Halloween night (October 31st), has now been pushed forward. Earlier today EA stated that the console versions of the game would be hitting store shelves on October 24th, a full week earlier than originally announced. Rock Band 2: Rated No not and ERSB rating, already knew that would be T, but they rated the difficulty for the songs that are coming out on the disc at launch date. They also were nice enough to break it down by the different categories as well as overall band. No listing of how difficult, like on the current Rock Band Store, but early images show that is how the songs will be sorted out and displayed from the get go in the game. The newly formed duo of Activision Blizzard has presented there schedule of releases. While many titles were mentioned, several highly publicized games received none whatsoever. Terminal Reality, 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand and most notably: Ghostbusters, were all absent from the list. The lack of these titles, as well as massive "realignments" with the staff of High Moon Studio and Radical Entertainment, is leading many to wonder if some titles and studios are being dropped because of the merger. It is already known that Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios are being considered for sale or closure at this time. In Gears of War 2 news, the people of Epic seem to really understand their audience. Epic loves us for exactly what we are, a bunch of achievement whores. Now while some people may be above spending time going through games solely to raise their gamer score, most of us are not. Epic has created a whole new type of achievement system, called "linked" achievements. Linked Achievements occur when someone obtains an achievement in the first game(Gears of War), this then unlocks new content in the second game(Gears of War 2).
