Team Meat To Serve Up New Game Are the blisters on your fingers almost fully healed? Did you finally get enough money to buy a new controller after breaking your previous one? Is your mind put back together from the insanity that is Super Meat Boy? If so, then I have some great news for you. The two-man army behind Team Meat have recently announced that they will be making a new game that is "ambitious, fun and more experimental." So you can loosen the grip on that controller now guys. Edmund McMillen, the co-founder of Team Meat, told Eurogamer.net that "[Super] Meat Boy was a very straightforward game. We really didn't reach outside the box in terms of design. I think with the new game we definitely get a bit more experimental with the design." I'm definitely in favor of experimentation because although I found Super Meat Boy to be fun I have to agree that it was very linear and a tad too difficult.

Team Meat also revealed that they are approved Nintendo 3DS developers. A port to the 3DS is still up in the air, sadly. "We were originally kind of into porting Meat Boy to it, but the game we're working on now is very exciting and it probably won't work on the 3DS. I don't know if it will or not, or if it would be a good idea for it." I think Super Meat Boy on the 3DS would be a bad idea, particularly with the overall difficulty and the fact that I like to throw things when I'm really mad - nothing like throwing $250 or so at a wall.

Team Meat hasn't released any other details about the game, but I have to admit that I'm excited for another game from them. How about you guys? Did you enjoy Super Meat Boy? Would you buy it on the 3DS?

Lastly, a note for all the Mac users out there Super Meat Boy will be coming. When? Only Team Meat knows.
